As a bass player and vocalist for 40 years, I am still inspired to grow as a musician and can't get enough of Nai, Paul, Perrin and Simon, you are all so so talented and I hope the four of you and all those around you that make Hiatus Kaiyote keep this thing going. I have only just found your music and I'm sure a decade from now others will be finding you for the first time. There is something in this song, in this moment, so warm, sad, and uplifting... it's like I'm tasting what it's like to see the world through your eyes, the appreciation of the earth, imperfections and impermanence, holding it all in balance for a few minutes while the melody carries you on. The more i grow, the more i can relate when you say you feel most beautiful when you don't realize you exist as much.

I just had surgery a few months back, couldn't sleep, couldn't stand the drugs, so my husband told me to plug both headphones in and listen... it was my Nai/Hiatus playlist. I love this version so much because she uses her voice to mimic the instrumentals while keeping a beautiful interpretation of the vocals. This is my favorite one right up there with the original.
