I've "played" bass for years off and on. Life gets busy and the bass gets dusty but every time you drop a video I pick it up. Thank you for that. Chances are slim I'll ever have the level of skill or soulfulness you display but you remind me that I'm not playing for either of those, I play because it feels good to groove.

I hope some of the people watching can appreciate how talented the mixing is. Even though the bass is higher in the mix than the original it doesn't drown anything out and helps to accentuate the other beautiful elements of the song. It makes me wonder when we'll see some original tracks, you've got too much talent to play covers all the time! (they're endlessly enjoyable all the same!)

Cullen Cowap . Up The Reds YNWA Everything about her presentation is so simple and elegant at the same time. From the mix to how she places the camera and fades it in and out to her song choice and what she wears shows amazing judgment and intelligence.

While I think it’s human nature to focus on the left hand on the fingerboard, the technique you use through most of this song using your thumb and index finger is amazing, both in terms of the tone you achieve and in the almost balletic beauty of your form. The other thing is. All this sub growth and not 1 promotion from J. No products, no buy my t-shirts. Nothing, just pure, beautiful bass playing. I've not seen a musical channel with this growth and absent of gross promotion. Awesome!
