This was my favorite song for years, especially in 2013. I was living in the darkest time of my life, and hearing this now brings me peace. I made it, and I’ve found God. We are all His people, everything on earth and everything that makes up the earth belongs to Him. May He bless you all.

My mother was my best friend in life, When I was in college In the eye opening stage of youth, I discovered this song and video and it meant everything to me, I didn’t know why, I shared it with everyone I came in contact with from then on. One day my mother was able to sit still long enough for me to show her this. Every road trip we took or ride to Chemotherapy we sang this together at the top of our lungs. My mother lost her battle to cancer far too young a few months ago. The night before she died I sat by her in the hospital, when she came to long enough to speak I asked her what her favorite memory was in life. She thought a while and just said “that song”. I asked which one, but I already knew. Because that was my favorite memory too. That was the last time I ever got to speak to her. I couldn’t be more greatful for the editor of this video and Nahko bear for giving me that. Music can change the world 💕 Thank you.

Comments here got me tearin' up man. I've been listening to this song for about 6 years. Lost my dearest mother to suicide 2 years ago. I used to be so empathetic, and tried to work on becoming a lightworker about 6-8 years ago. Since then I've paved thousands of miles of Asphalt, I have cut through a few miles of the Earth her self, 1,200 feet underground as an Underground Salt Miner, Heavy Equipment Operator to be exact. I now have a 2 year old son, and another 2 month old son. I don't even know why I'm saying any of this right now, maybe just reading all of these other comments got me feeling some sort of way. Now I'm crying. I don't know where else to go with this, other than...just try to do your best to give every one you encounter all the love and understanding that you can. My mother was a devout Christian, she went to and graduated form the Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Detroit, she was born in 1959 and we lived there my whole life and she never hurt a fucking fly or did anything bad to anyone during my entire 27 years of existence and I'll be 28 this October 2020. Just please, love each other. We all deserve to be loved, at the very least.

Yeah I had a bit to drink this night and it all came out. Idk like I guess my point here was that when I was young I had the time to think and ponder life's many questions and since then my parents lost their house even though me and my brothers even tried to work hard to help and it all just fell apart leading up to my moms death which aldo had alot to do with my fathers abuse as well. You have to grow up at some point and unfortunately for many or us that means working so damn much we can often lose touch of ourselves or our dreams we once had. And I guess I just needed to get this all out someway.

My mother & father are devout christians. Im not opposing any faith. I imbibe them all and live my life as I was born to do. This is my last life here. Theres a peace I can rest in that.

Lyrics Verse 1] Lend your ears, lend your hands Lend your movement, anything you can Come to teach, come to be taught Come in the likeness in the image of God 'Cause you can be like that With all that humbleness, and all that respect All of the power invested in me Be it hard to love my enemies All of the black bags over the heads of the dead and dying The more I understand about the human race The less I comprehend about our purpose and place And maybe if there was a clearer line The curiosity would satisfy Time-based prophecies that kept me from living In the moment I am struggling To trust the divinity of all the guides And what the hell they have planned for us I cry for the creatures who get left behind But everything will change in a blink of an eye And if you wish to survive You will find the guide inside [Verse 2] I go back and forth every single day The clarity it comes to me in the choppy waves As the feelings and the places And the seasons change The galaxies remain Energy fields pullin’ up out of this space The angels that are composting the spiritual waste The hate that gets me displaced from my spiritual place Ten fold the manna when the planets are in place, in polar alignment We’re on assignment Bodies on consignment Return them to the circus And what is the purpose? What is the purpose and would you believe it? Would you believe it Pre-Chorus 1] If you knew what you were for And how you became so informed? Bodies of info performing such miracles I am a miracle made up of particles And in this existence I’ll stay persistent And I’ll make a difference And I will have lived it [Chorus] Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana [Verse 3] I’m not a leader, just a creature Seeking the features of a teacher Whether you follow or whether you lead All mysterious ways of nature and I’m into it (I'm into it) Changing management (oh) And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis My stubbornness is bottomless My fearlessness is talking shit And I’m wide awake (I'm wide awake) And I’m taking names (And I'm taking names) Do you speak to me like you speak to God? All of the love and understanding between the father and the son? Do you believe in the perfectness of where you are? These are my people, these are my children This is the land that I would fight for My solidarity is telling me to patiently Be moving the musical medicine around the planet in a hurry 'Cause there’s no time to wait (there's no time to wait) I gotta to wake up my babies, time to stand up and say [Pre-Chorus 2] We know what we are for And how we became so informed Bodies of info, performing such miracles I am a miracle, made up of particles And in this existence I’ll stay persistent And I’ll make a difference And I will have lived it [Chorus] Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana [Post-Chorus] Each day that I wake I will praise, I will praise Each day that I wake I give thanks, I give thanks Each day that I wake I will praise, I will praise Each day that I wake I give thanks, I give thanks [Outro] And the day that I don’t wake up And transcend the holy make-up I am capable, I am powerful The day that I don’t wake up And transcend the holy make-up I am on my way to a different place The day that I don’t wake up And transcend the holy make-up I am capable, I am powerful The day that I don’t wake up And transcend the holy make-up I am on my way to a different place The day that I don’t wake up And transcend the holy make-up I am capable

I don't usually comment on youtube videos but, today I showed this to my partner (as well as many times to friends over the years ever since 2013) and I was brought to tears. I was only 17, homeless, and felt like I had no hope after my foster family kicked me out in the middle of winter when I was shown this song, and it literally saved my life. I started to look more into positive manifestation and finding the guide inside. Hearing this song today, I cried with how far I've come. I had nothing then, but now because I believed in my self, worked very hard, etc... I not only have a home, but a family, hobbies, a job... Thank you for empowering me through the years...

Lend your ear, lend your hands lend your movement anything you can. Come to teach, come to be taught. Come in the likeness, in the image of God. Cause you can be like that. With all that humbleness and all that respect. All of the power invested in me. Be it hard to love my enemies. All of the black bags over the heads of the dead and dying. The more I understand about the human race. The less I comprehend about our purpose and place. And maybe if there was a clearer line. The curiosity would satisfy. Time bases prophesies have kept me from living, In the moment I am struggling to trust the divinity. Of all the gods. And what the hell they have planned for us. I cry for the creatures who get left behind. But everything will change in the blink of an eye. And if you wish to survive, you will find the guide inside. I go back anf forth every single day, the clarity it comes to me in the choppy waves, the feelings and the places and the seasons change, the galaxies remain. Energy fields pulling our body to space, the angels that are coming to the spiritual waste, the hate that gets me distant from my spiritual pace, ten fold the manna when the planets are in place. In polar aligment. We're on assigment. Bodies on consignment. Return'em to the circus. And what is the porpose, what is the porpose. And would you believe it, would you believe it. If you knew what for you were for, and how you became so informed, bodios of info perfoming such miracles, I am a miracle made up of particles. And n this existence. I'll stay persistent, and I'll make a difference, and I will have lived it. Aloha, aloha ke akua, ke akua, Aloha, aloha kuleana, kuleana. Aloha, aloha ke akua, ke akua, Aloha, aloha kuleana, kuleana. Each day that I wake , I will praise, I will praise. Each day that I wake, I give thanks, I give thanks. Each day that I wake, I will praise, I will praise. Each day that I wake, I give thanks, I give thanks. And the day that I don't wake up, and the trascend the holy make up. I am capable. I am powerful. The day that I don't wake up, and the transcend the holy make up. I am on my way to a diffrent place. I'm not a leader, just a creature seeking the features of a teacher, whether you follow whether you lead, all the mysterious ways of nature, And I'm into it. Changin management. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis. My strubborness is bottomless. My fearlessness is talkin' shit, and I'm wide awake. And I'm takin'names. I'm not a leader, just a creature seeking the features of a teacher, whether you follow whether you lead, all the mysterious ways of nature, And I'm into it, I'm into it. Changin management. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis. My strubborness is bottomless. My fearlessness is talkin' shit, and I'm wide awake. And I'm takin'names. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis. My strubborness is bottomless. My fearlessness is talkin' shit, and I'm wide awake. And I'm takin'names. Do you speak to me like you speak to God, all of the love and understanding between the father and the son. Do you believe in the perfectness of where you are. These are my people, these are my children, This is the land that i would fight for. My solidarity is tellin' me to patiently, be movin' the musical medicine around the planet in a hurry. Cause there's no time to wait, gotta wake up the people, time to stand up and say. We know what we are for. And how we became so informed. Bodies of info perfoming such miracles. I am a miracle made up of particles. And in this existence. I'll stay persistent. And I'll make a difference. And i will have lived it. Aloha, aloha ke akua, ke akua, Aloha, aloha kuleana, kuleana. I heard this song for the first time a month or so after I lost my dad. It hit me really hard. For some reason this song seems to really resonate with people who have lost, but it resonates in a positive and hopeful way. It’s about pretty much everything that matters but hits hardest about the cycle of life, loss and being reborn. It’s one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard. I really wish my Dad could have heard it because I know for a fact he would have loved it. He was so intuitive, wise, funny, deep, kind, compassionate. He loved to think deeply and talk about the world and life and people. He taught me to appreciate and love music from a very young age. “I am on my way to a different place.” Thank you Nahko 🙏 it’s music like this that proves how powerful music really is. This song helped me grieve my Dad and still does to this day. And it still makes me feel hopeful and grounded, and that we are all exactly where we are supposed to be.

I listened to this song about once a month and would have a good cry fest. Then I forgot about it for for years until now. Always eye opening. It's beyond healing but melancholy at the same time. It stirs hidden, repressed feelings and makes me feel sadness, regret, melancholia, but also hope, simultaneously. It makes me think about my past wrongs & what could have been, but also a realization that I should have appreciated everything as it was, because I'll never be able to get that time back. It makes me think of how such a small percentage of people controls everything and is running the Earth for their greed, just to continue padding their pockets. But it also makes me think to the future with hope, that we can learn from our mistakes-collective and personal-and turn things around. Longing for some sort of change, I suppose. I love this song so much and there's none like it.

I found Nahko & Medicine for the people years ago when I was living one of the happiest moments of my life, and this song would send chills down my spine and bring tears to my eyes every time I listened to it, which was basically daily. because I was happy that I had made it through everything that I had made it through and was still here to be where I was at the time. Now years later trying to crawl back up from rock bottom, I have this song to thank that I am still here breathing and still cry and get chills each time I hear it. Played on repeat each time I need some help making it through the day, this song is such a beautiful gift. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this with the world, this song is so much more then just medicine, this song is inspiration to continue on your journey.

I’m at rock bottom listening to this and appreciating your words. When I was first introduced to this song, I was getting better and this song rooted me on everyday... but some things are stronger than our minds and they have taken control of my body. I hope to be here when I’m better soon.

The words, "aloha ke akua" mean the breath of life and the love of God -- that's a loose translation. I believe (and so do Hawaiians), that when you speak this language with intention it has mana or BIG power to it ॐ Namaste ॐ Nahko Bear (Medicine for the People) ღ Aloha Ke Akua {No Prescription Necessary} Lend your ears, lend your hands,Lend your movement, anything you can. Come to teach, come to be taught. Come in the likeness in the image of God. Cause, you can be like that. With all that humbleness, and all that respect. All of the power invested in me, be it hard to love my enemies. All of the black bags over the heads of the dead and dying. The more I understand about the human race, the less I comprehend about our purpose and place and maybe if there was a clearer line the curiosity would satisfy.Time based prophecies that kept me from living, in the moment I am struggling to trust the divinity of all the guides and what the hell they have planned for us.I cry for the creatures who get left behind but everything will change in a blink of an eye and if you wish to survive, you will find the guide inside.I go back and forth every single day, the clarity it comes to me in a choppy way, as the feelings and the places and the seasons change, the galaxies remain.Energy fields pullin’ up out of this space. The angels that are a couple to the spiritual waste. The hate that gets me distant from my spiritual pace. Ten fold the manna when the planets are in place, in polar alignment. We’re on assignment. Bodies on consignment. Return them to the circus. And what is the purpose? What is the purpose and would you believe it? Would you believe it if you knew what you were for and how you became so in form?Bodies of info performing such miracles. I am a miracle made up of particles and in this existence, I’ll stay persistent, and I’ll make a difference and I will have lived it.Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua, Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana. Aloha, Aloha Ke Akua, Ke Akua, Aloha, Aloha, Kuleana, Kuleana. Each day that I wake, I will praise, I will praise. Each day that I wake, I give thanks, I give thanks. Each day that I wake, I will praise, I will praise. Each day that I wake, I give thanks, I give thanks. And the day that I don’t wake up and transcend the holy make-up, I am capable, I am powerful. And the day that I don’t wake up and transcend the holy makeup, I am on my way to a different place….I’m not a leader, just a creature, seeking the features of a teacher. Whether you follow or whether you lead All mysterious ways of nature and I’m into it. Changing management. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis, my stubbornness is bottomless, my fearlessness is talking shit and I’m wide awake and I’m taking names.I am not a leader, just a creature. Seeking the features of a teacher. Whether you follow or whether you lead All mysterious ways of nature and I’m into it. I’m into it. Changing management. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis, my stubbornness is bottomless, my fearlessness is talking shit and I am wide awake. And I’m taking names. And there are various ways to conquer this monotonous metropolis, my stubbornness is bottomless, my fearlessness is talking shit, and I’m wide awake and I’m taking names.Do you speak to me like you speak to God? All of the love and understanding between the father and the son? Do you believe in the perfectness of where you are? These are my people, these are my children, this is the land that I would fight for.My solidarity is telling me to patiently be moving the musical medicine around the planet in a hurry, Cuz there’s no time to waste. Got to wake up the people time to stand up and say, we know what we are for and how we became so in form. Bodies of info, performing such miracles. Aloha: To love others as one’s self and to do so unconditionally, living a life of charity, compassion, and forgiveness towards others. Haʻahaʻa: To be humble, grateful, and teachable; treating others with respect and Aloha. To recognize and appreciate ke Akua’s hand in all things and to be submissive to His will at all times. Pono: To think, speak, and act in a manner that is honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men. To be balanced physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. ‘Ohana: To recognize the ‘Ohana (family) as the fundamental building block that makes up the very fabric of the community, society, and lāhui (nation). Strong families = strong communities and strong communities = a strong lāhui. As such, the ‘ohana and those individuals making up the ‘ohana unit (kamali‘i, makua, and kupuna) must be cherished, respected, and protected. Kūʻauhau: To find, learn, and preserve one’s genealogy; to know who we are by knowing where we came from. In knowing our genealogy we can bind ourselves to our kupuna (ancestors), who in turn, can inspire, guide, and protect us. ʻImi naʻauao: To seek enlightenment, not only the acquirement of knowledge, but of true intelligence, that is, to use knowledge in a Pono way. Kuleana: To understand and fulfill one’s area of responsibility and stewardship as a privilege and honor. Kahu: To mālama (care for) the physical and spiritual well being of persons and places you have Kuleana. Lōkahi: To seek harmony, peace, unity, collaboration, and balance. Kūpa‘a: To be steadfast, firm, constant, immovable, loyal, and faithful to that which is Pono. Alakoa: To develop the virtues of the koa (warrior) including, courage, loyalty, justice, mercy, generosity, hope, faith (in ke Akua), and nobility (to act nobly); and to exercise these virtues in the Pono defense and advancement of the individual, ‘ohana, community, and Lāhui (Country). Aloha ʻAinā: To develop and promote great aloha for kulaiwi (homeland) and Lāhui (Country).

I don't usually comment on KZread but I recently came back from an ayahuasca retreat in Ireland and this song was one that was played during the ceremonies and it really moved me at the time. I thought it was because of the plant medicine but sure enough I listened to it fully conscious today and it brought me to uncontrollable joyful tears. It reminds me of how grateful I feel to be alive because for the majority of my life I just wanted to die,I couldn't see out of my pain and wanted to end it all. The only thing that kept me alive was knowing that even though my pain would end,the pain would only be passed on tenfold to my friends & family. Now though I have so much to live for and feel as though I'm being my most authentic self and this song reminds me of that 💚

I first heard this years back at a festival called Shangri-la. I have never felt more conneccted to people, before or since. During the concert the entire crowd came together for one giant group hug. Never in my life at any other concert or festival has anything like that happened. I met so many cool people there. I can't begin to explain everything I experienced that weekend. Quite an amazing experience.
