I heard the song Wash It away gandola version in rehab and that was the changing point in my life. S song I ever heard by this gift to humanity was this song. And even though he may be singing with something very specific in this video... We all take music and we personalize it. His music is a gift. Accept it listen to it let it into your heart mind and soul and take from it whatever you can. And for those of you that are struggling out there with whatever it may be... Just keep getting up everyday put one foot in front of the other and only look back as a reference. Keep pushing forward and you can do it. If you think you can't do it then you'll correct you can't. And everytime, we have fought it, rebelled against what we have called 'evil'. No matter You Walk of Life or where you're from no matter what color your skin is.. anybody that actually listens to this.. everyone can take something from this. I first heard Nahko when I was in rehab for opiate abuse 14 months clean right now from opiates.. first song I heard was Wash It away the gondola version. About halfway through it I actually heard what he was saying.. and it broke me. But in a good way. This man's music continues daily to have a huge part in my recovery and in saving my life. I'm eternally grateful for that.

Reality is never unused, just under appreciated. Ignorance is the answer "wink wink". Reality isnt perfection, just the beginning. We are this beautiful people, love and learn.

No matter how many times I watch this, I still feel the passion and the power deep in my soul. Thank you Nahko, on behalf of indigenous peoples everywhere.

I have heard some awful things about Nahko himself lately, but I will never stop cherishing this song and crying every time I hear it.

Today is a great day to share this important message, especially in light of the news about the Dakota Access & Keystone XL Pipelines. The fight was never over. It's odd to feel so sad yet so empowered & motivated at the same time. So grateful for everyone who shares their time, message, wisdom, and power to help save this Earth for our future generations. This song has always tugged at my heartstrings but ever since seeing Nahko Bear perform it live a few times and being close enough to get a hug, I can’t watch it without balling my eyes out. It was easy to see the images and fool myself into thinking that it’s not real because I put selfish blinders on and was concerned with my own petty shit. I can’t do that anymore. I speak only for myself but it is painfully real. I remember watching the protesters on the news and the inhumane way they were treated and even then forgetting about their suffering because it was too hard to dwell on but this is their lives. This is what they deal with. Government corruption and profit above all else is the monster they have to fight everyday among other atrocities. Clean water is a right. Nahko’s music woke me up and for that I’m eternally grateful because I can’t sit back anymore and pretend it’s not real. Being awake and aware comes with its own challenges but being uncomfortable is what’s necessary to stand up and demand better. I didn’t mean to jump on a soapbox here so thanks for indulging me. Love and light warrior tribe. 🙏🏻

I've long felt a strong affinity for the spiritual practices of native people, particularly Native Americans. People who see nature & the universe as god (and female), rather than something merely responding to a big male God boss. Because of this, this is one of my all time favourite videos. I played this video to my family today. However rather than finding it inspirational, they felt it rather depressing. This made me carefully consider what it was I found so up lifting. I think it's because of the deep underlying unity, going back many centuries, that has brought all these people together for the most noble of all causes; to very bravely, yet peacefully protect something of huge value and consequence. While the very frightened underpaid men opposing them, instinctively know the injustice being perpetrated and for their part, are now forever condemned to a life of shame. Might doesn't not equate to right.
