Worst part, most phones no longer come with their corresponding charging brick that supports the phone's maximum wattage. So at the end we have to do some research.

Umm .. fast charging wouldn't be so much a problem if you could easily swap out for a new battery and it didn't damage your battery in a wide variety of ways. Examples of damage: damage to the battery's internal structure, negative electrode cracking, plating the anode, distorting the graphite lattice, increased risk thermal runaway, etc.

That is the problem for most people, there are so many myths and such that they get all the facts muddled. USB C is in my view the best of the USB versions but it is not perfect. All the big tech companies should get together and create an international standard which benefits everyone through out the world. I am just glad that Micro USB is on it's way out.

Why do u think USB Type C Is Not The Perfect Connector? Its greedy companies like apple that didn't want to switch to usb c and also the only thing that confuses me is why can't oppo and oneplus and xiaomi make a agreement with the usb specification to make charging protocols like supervooc universal instead of being propietary and also the usb implementers forum need to stop confusing people about the 40gbps and 20gbps names like usb 3.2 and usb 4.0 its just a mess at this point

If you're around constant power sources, then this is a fantastic video about how to get the fastest most filling charge. I will say for my experience though, super fast charging is absolutely a detriment to your battery. My s22 ultra last year was a great example of this. Had it for a year and had no issues with charging, battery life and longevity. Once I finally use the super fast charge function, there was a sharp decline in battery life. Sure my battery would charge exceptionally quick but was only getting half a day out of the same usage that I was getting before

Simply get a Samsung 25W charger for daily charging - in that way you get the best of both worlds. Personally I main a OP 12 and SuperVooc'ing every single day is definitely not the way to go imo. I live in a tropical country and charging during the day with 100W charger really pushes phone temperature beyond 45 degrees. Not ideal at all. The idea is to keep the phone as cool as possible in your capacity.

Battery degradation is expected with age... Me and my family have used and am still using various BKK branded phones from the likes of Oppo Realme Vivo OnePlus and iQoo, all having ultra-fast charging of around 25W to 65W and one topping beyond 100W... Still am using them, with some reaching 4 years of age now, battery life has not degrade as per what many made it out to be... I've noticed lot of hoo-haa are from those using common brands like Samsung and Apple, where their 'fast charging' has not keep up yet (hello 2020 in 2024)... We used the bundled fast charger and cable provided with the phones as well, being fast charging there's no need to charge full (we keep the charge between 20% to 90% daily) unless heading out for a long road trip or flight, and occasionally allowing battery to dip below 10% to calibrate it... Avoid extreme heat and cold environment, minimize drops, do whatever possible to protect the battery and they will serve you well...

  • @EpicBunty

@@e3vL1 I would have to partially disagree because phones are already too big! I can barely handle them with one hand, and most of the time their balance/size is so bad that it just tips over and falls etc etc. I still remember my old HTC phone that I had was so slim that it was mind boggling, yet extremely aesthetic. I loved that design, even played GTA:SA on that thing, something which just a few years prior required a desktop PC now running on something SO surreally thin. Also battery life on most phones is alr 1 day with moderate usage. there are phones that fit your niche criteria, but you can just extend battery life by using power saving modes, or plug it in for some quick juice if u have fast charging. having as much battery life as possible is definitely the goal imo and perhaps in the future we may find a way to do just that, maybe even have infinite battery where everything just works without heat or crap like that.
