I was told it’s specifically NOT for anxiety.

It shouldn’t be for anxiety, that’s silly. Literally everyone has anxiety

@@kcjd8659 and determining which is which relies on self reporting; it’s not objective and cannot be standardized. Which is one of the main reasons it can’t be eligible for a service like DAS. If you have anxiety in ride lines you’ll most certainly have anxiety in the entrance gate lines, walking down Main Street anytime close to a parade or fireworks, in food lines, or in countless other scenarios at the parks; if it’s so bad that you cannot bear these things, then the parks aren’t the right pace to go. It’s common sense.

@@idaUnchained actual anxiety disorders are diagnosable mental health disorders.

@@kcjd8659 so is narcissism and psychosis. There are over 450 distinct mental health disorders. That has nothing to do with DAS. Anxiety disorder diagnosis is very nebulous and relies solely on self reported symptoms. It is not objective and treatment cannot be standardized.

why does it say on fb groups that people with autism are being told they are not able to get DAS pass and it only is for children and not adults and are the DAS passes consistent with disability people have that qualify legally or is Disney turning away based on which cast member is working and their personal opinions and mood?!

Great question. From my understanding. And I do Not work for Disney. But I would imagine that with so many different autism’s ( the spectrum and all) they are specifically looking for people who are being overwhelmed with stimulation. And that autistic just as a blanket term isn’t being used as a qualifier.

@@inforMobilityfalse. They are only accommodating people who "do not know what a line is" in DW. Quote from Disney CM.

One of the things that makes Tokyo Disney Park so much better is that they don't have a DAS program. Disabled people can have their wish ("Of being treated like everyone else.") fulfilled. You wait in line, like everyone else.

In Japan the severely autistic are often ostracized from society as they are seen as disruptive and disturbing - almost never seen in malls and theme parks, more kept hidden away. The changes to DAS are not good! However I am glad that WDW is overall more inclusive. Too many are upset with the wrong people - people with the 'qualifying' disability aren't the problem here - let's hold off from making digs at them - the problem is the approach by Disney.

Very little of this is accurate, especially for Disney World. People with real disabilities are being denied any type of accommodations. It is horrid.

@@danab9654 thank you for your input . It is true . When I made this video the lady had just had a four hour meeting with corporate and I had asked questions that they didn’t have answers for. I thought for sure that they would have figured something out by now? Every thing is still tangled and inconsistent. I’m sorry for any confusions . I love you
