Brief synopsis of how i read these videos behind the lines. In the cave the orange dudes left arm gets possessed by a demon/ghost and the dog rips it off, saving orange dude from getting possessed fully. That is why he has a robotic arm, and in this video you can see the arm escape the cave at 0:30. The dog seems to be a kitsune which is a mythical Japanese animal. From what i understand the dog tried to protect the rest of the group by erasing the blue girls mind of what occurred, so that, despite one member of the party being dead they can move on. In this video a new character is looking for the dog, for an unknown reason at this point, and finds the cave where the purple dude died. The Scene where orange guy is looking at his computer seems to suggest that his memory was wiped as well seeing that there are so many places with purple guys head with red X's and Question marks, and his deleting the image of purple guy shows him giving up, which the dog is not impressed by. Then the purple guy's heart is healed, or he is reinvigorated.

Those ghosts are called "dead beats"

I started looking into these videos after your last reaction. Unfortunately Freak Out is the last video at this point, but Ghost came out 2 years before. Maybe there will be a continuation later this year or next. Animations at this level take a long time to make if you don't have a lot of help. Best I can tell the Flower lady uses flowers to track souls, maybe. Like she's looking for the dog, but the other three's souls were distracting her. Maybe that's why she tried to get rid of the ghost. I don't know. I'm really glad you reacted to these because I wouldn't have known about them otherwise. It's really cool, and my new weekly observation. 🤣

The crazy tree lady’s name is Shiromori and she’s trying to find Mystery (the dog) for reasons currently unknown and she’s using the flowers as a magical tracking tool, using Mystery’s connection with his friends to help her find traces of Mystery’s “scent” The next video is gonna be “Hellbent” and for the most part its almost finished. All of the character animations are complete and the Mystery Masters (the people working on these animations) have all but to finish up the backgrounds and then they’ll essentially be ready to upload the next video. Your concern for Luis (the ghost) is quite heartwarming. It reminds me of when I first saw these Mystery Skulls videos some time ago. Please keep up the good work; your reactions are very enjoyable. Also, I don't mean to be pushy, but I think you would quite like the unfinished Mystery Skulls 'Magic' animatic. It certainly had an impact on me.

That's bonzai witch Shiromori. That's the cave Lewis died in and she can grow flowers to track people down. That's why when she absorbed energy from the spikes, she grew Lewis's flower and it tracked down his heart. And from it, she grew 3 flowers from Lewis's memory but the other members were beneath her interests so she cut them out. When was about to shatter the worthless heart she grew Mystery's flower which revealed him to be a kitsune. Instead of fighting she is on the hunt. Meanwhile the van scene Arthur gets the chills because Lewis killed his flower. Arthur and the gang searched all over for Lewis and the last picture is Lewis's skull so he deletes his picture because he knows he is dead. Judging by Mystery's reaction to the flower petal that reached them. He and Shiromori got a history. Lewis then finds that the flowers pull the user to the target so he uses the blue petals to track Vivi down. Last scene is him getting a ride ala Ghost Rider and flooring it ... to be continued. P.S you can see Arthur's still possessed arm running away from Shiromori. P.S.S Shiromori means white forest in japanese. And the next video is called Hellbent

Actually Vivi is the one deleting the picture (albeit unconsciously through Lewis ghost energy trauma death) and in Hellbent its shown Lewis decided to get revenge on Arthur(Although he comes to regret it). Mystery is Shiromori's creator/Parent and she is hunting him down to absorb him.

I just recently got into mystery skulls, and I like your reaction videos to it. They just released the next video, "Hellbent" - hoping to see your reaction to it as well!

The third part came out this past weekend. It's called mystery skulls Animated - Hellbent. Watch that one when you have the time. Also as a lot of others have said the characters have names. There is a whole hidden story being told and there will be at least two more coming in the future.

I'll help you out here. That flower character is a monster hunter. She finds evil with the flowers connected to their spirits to hunt them down. She was using the spirit of Lewis (who has relations with Mystery) to find the Hell Hound (Mystery). There are a LOT more secrets throughout this video, but I won't go into detail for those.

Bit late, but you're quite wrong. The 3 humans are Lewis (ghost), Vivi (Blue girl), and Arthur (orange guy). Flower character is called Shiromori. She isn't tracking monsters but rather is tracking down Mystery (The dog. I'll explain in a bit). Judging from Mystery's reactions, it quite obvious (and Author confirmed) that the two knew each other before hand. (The teaser shows he is really worried. Mystery is what's known as a Kitsune. That is a Japanese Fox Spirit that is quite well known for being mischievous yet protective towards people they care about. That's all i wanna say. Reply if you need more info.

So cool someone recommended these to you, I love these videos! And last I read, the next video (which I believe will be to the song "Hellbent") the animator(s?) is/are estimating should be coming out this fall, if everything in the production process goes well. Also the flower (plant?) lady's name is Shiro, since people have told you everyone else's names. Really enjoyed this reaction, and I've been enjoying your RWBY reactions as well just haven't commented over there yet haha

There's an interesting narrative to these videos that I really like, and your reactions and theories are wonderful. I think it would be really awesome as well if you could react to the first ten minutes or so of the game The Last of Us if you aren't familiar with it, after a short tutorial there is a very emotional cut scene that is very powerful. You could either watch a video on youtube or play the first part of the game on playstation since you mentioned playing PS4 before. And if you like it enough a full playthrough would be incredible because it's phenomenal game and I know many people would love to see you react to it and play through to the end. Don't feel bad at all if you can't or don't want to play or watch the introduction, I won't be offended. Keep up the fantastic work Molly!!!

after your reaction of the first one, I watched the second part like 3 times. Best I can tell is she was tracking the dog in beginning( which led her to that cave everyone was at) trail got cold so the flower died. since purple guy died there, she was able to create a purple flower and track him. then using his essence was able to create more flowers of everyone he was in contact with, including the dog. that's why she left, rather than risk the flower gettin destroyed by purple guys fire. oh, and I think orange guy(who seems to be obviously jealous of purple and blue) is deletin photos of purple which seems to b deleting him from her memory, which made the dog angry

Hellbent is coming out soon. And the story is that Lewis, the ghost, was killed by a possessed Arthur and mystery, the dog, took his arm to keep him from being fully possessed. Vivi, the blue girl, through magical means had her memories of Lewis taken from her. The first girl is actually a forest spirit, I think, and is hunting down mystery for unknown, at this point, reasons. Although mystery is actually a kitsune or nine tailed fox, acting as a guardian for them.

The Tree Ogre is searching for Mystery (the Dog), her main ability is to grow 'Soul flowers' and when she blows on the petals they fly towards the soul they represent. She blew on the purple flower to find Lewis (Ghost man) and Lewis put petals from Vivian (Blue girl)'s soul flower into his Heart locket so it would beat towards her (and by extension Arthur [Yellow Guy] )

When the possessed arthur pushed lewis, mystery(the dog) bit off the left hand of arthur in his original form. Thats why he has a metallic arm.

Nice reaction, girl. Now all that's left for you to react would be the animatic based on Magic, another song from Mystery Skulls. Even if it was just an animatic, it's still a gorgeous thing.

The girl in blue is named Vivi, the purple ghost is Lewis, the orange guy is Arthur, the dog is Mystery, and the flower lady is Shiromori. Mystery(the dog), is actually a 700 year old Kitsune or fox spirit and Shiromori is hunting him down for his blood for some reason we don't know yet. In the cave we meet Shiromori for the first time Arthur had been possessed by some sort of ghost or demon and pushed Lewis off the cliff killing Lewis, Vivi who had been at the bottom of that chamber witness the entire thing and Lewis not wanting Vivi to mourn his death erased her memories of him. Up above, Mystery who had followed Arthur and Lewis instead of going with Vivi turned into his Kitsune form and ripped Arthur's arm off saving Arthur from being possessed even further. Lewis raising from death now a Ghost is either told by the spirit that possessed Arthur what Arthur did helping Lewis become the strong ghost we see him throughout the 3 animated music videos and this is what propts Lewis to get revenge or Lewis himself pushed himself into getting revenge on Arthur. Either way Lewis wants Arthur dead for what he did to him and he wants Vivi back, we don't know that Vivi and Lewis were lovers but we do know that they had strong feelings for each other and may have wanted to become lovers before Lewis' life was cut short. We also don't know why the ghost that possessed Arthur wanted Lewis dead, we do know that Arthur's severed arm is now its own character called ??? thanks to MysteryBen the creator making it a profile like all the other characters. If you get the time please react to the next installment in the series Hellbent, it's a direct continuation of Freaking Out and it may answer some questions you have, only if you pay close attention to all the details in the video. Also maybe go back and re-watch Ghost and Freaking Out taking the time to pause at each important moment, MysteryBen likes to put many details into each scene that you might miss them the first time around.

that blue girl is after mystery for something he did in the past..the flowers are how she tracks people down...the last flower she made was mysteries. when she blow it away the flowers goes to mystery and it tells her where he is

The videos all benefit from rewatching. And theories abound. There's a wiki, tumblr, and a TV Tropes entry that should all help get up to speed.

There are comics explaining these animations and even some dubs on youtube. But if you want a summary then keep reading. This is a scooby doo type where Vivi, Arthur, Lewis (ghost) and the dog were apart of. Something came over Arthur and killed Lewis. When Lewis died, he came back as a ghost wanting revenge for his death, Vivi lost all her memory of her love Lewis and Arthur lost an arm. Mystery is pretending to be a dog but really he's a spirit. Now the flower girl from this one is tracking down Mystery (and i forgot why) but at first she doesn't enough power. You can tell because the first flower that died was a smaller version of the big flower she was looking for. When she blows on her created flower, it leads her right to the person it represents. (Ex. Lewis's flower) The flower girl touches/grabs Lewis's heart because he had connections to Mystery and she can grow a flower from that.

Mystery(aka the dog) is a kitsuny (sorry bad spelling) a legendary 6-9 tailed fox and Lewis (the ghost) is looking for arther, vivi, and mystery (mainly arthur tho), and shermory (plant lady is after mystery.

Arthur’s left arm is possessed, at the beginning of the video if you disregard the tree popping out of the ground you’ll see in the background a green arm with an eye in the palm, Arthur was briefly possessed and kills Lewis. In the “Ghost” video when mystery was watching the mirror, it briefly showed a silhouette of mystery’s bigger form with an arm in his mouth meaning he’s the one who tore off Arthur’s possessed arm. Arthur doesn’t seem to remember killing Lewis and is probably trying find Lewis on his map. Lewis comes back with a vengeance against Arthur. The plant lady seems to have her own grudge against the crew, especially against Mystery. Vivi seems to be partially possessed by Lewis considering her eyes glow the same shade as Lewis so it’s likely Lewis is protecting her or she’s somehow borrowing his power.

The dog/ Mystery is not dead he is a Japanese Fox spirit called a kitsune in disguise, The tree woman/ Shiromori is another Japanese spirit (probably a yokai) that is after Mystery. The cave she was in was the cave purple ghost boi/ Luis died in, that why she was able to find his heart, she wanted to use his heart to gain enough energy to lead her to mystery, she uses flowers to track people and Mystery was hard to find because he is disguised. Btw orange boy is Arthur, blue girl is Vivi, I likes this video, and part 3 "hellbent" is out.

Luis (the purple ghost) holds a grudge against Arthur (the yellow guy), and is try to reconnect with Vivi (the girl). It seems like Arthur is looking for Luis, and Vivi'd memory of Luis is fading away. You can see Luis fading away in the picture, on the laptop in the video, and Vivi's eyes changing color (to represent her forgetting him). That's all I can come up with anyway, that is; not sure if it's all entirely true.

I just realized how much I love her ear piercings.

The flower spirit... I think she wants power. She finds people by finding a source (like the cave) and then sprouting a flower which represents a person. In the cave the connection to the dog was too small so she first found Lewis. Lewis had a stronger connection to the 3 mains. But the flower spirit wants somebody with more power. So she finds the dog. (mystery) Lewis sees the blue flower and will use it to find Vivi. (The chilipeppers are a reference to Lewis' last name ;) ).

(Spoiler alert for hellbent)The orange flower that died was representing the orange guy get killed by being pushed of by the pink ghost to the place where the pink ghost died.

Arthur (the yellow guy) got possessed by a green demon, Mystery (the dog) ripped is arm off to free him and he's a demon, Vivi (the blue girl) doesn't remember Lewis (the ghost), while the blue ghost, is Shiromori that haunts Mystery for some reason. Lewis doesn't know that Arthur was possessed and thinks he wanted to kill him, so he's looking for Arthur to get his revenge

So Arthur(orange guy) he was possessed when he pushed Luis (purple guy) of the cliff in the cave. Luis is mad at him because he didn't know that Arthur was possessed at the time, so Luis's death was unintentional.

The dog, Mystery, is not a wolf, he's actually a kitsune[key-soon-eh], which means fox in Japanese. Orange boi is named Arthur, magenta/purple ghost boi is Lewis, and blue girl is Vivi.

There's a comic basic on Mystery Skell, there's comic dubs tho I don't know who to you should react to 😅Abimation have good voice actors but is short Dryeguy dub i bit fared into the comic but the voice actress for the Blue Girl had a bad mic at the time, choose whoever you want to watch theyre both really good. Also the comic takes place after "Ghost", so "Freaking Out" never even happened, just giving you a heads up so you won't get confuse while watching the dubs
