Mystery Kit from China #1 ICSK052A Tutorial
Teardown Lab - Mystery Kit from China #1 ICSK052A
I assemble an electronics kit that came with no documentation and see what it actually does!
I take plenty of time to show you how-to assemble this kit in this tutorial. I even had to debug it!
The kit is actually a ICSK052A and the module is a CK9561
You can buy the kit on Amazon right now cheaply: amzn.to/2aOP3fo
Or for the Alarm module it uses, click here: amzn.to/2aOPd6y Don't be a stranger, please click here for updates: www.backoffices...

Yesterday, I successfully failed to assemble that one (not identical pcb, there's many different on the market)... always got a short circuit somewhere, probably because of the IC that have nearby pad... Threw away that project... by the way after struggling and throwing away the pcb, ive found that you should keep the trim pin to mount the IC
Well i had to return, the small circuit board in rear on mine stumped me and the narrow track of course and it looks closer than on your video, but there are 7 pads on both boards and will do soldering that way. I noticed there is some difference on these circuit boards as i dont have the www. and other inscription yours has and i have a place for a 104 capacitor between speaker and 4148 diode. I don't guess you know what the 8 small holes through the pads on the small board are for. Mabey running wires instead? Thanks, I've got 2 more projects to solder so need to get to work.
The two traces behind that board have to wire through to where that last resister was put... :)
I haven't did my kit her, when I ordered it it say makes16 different sound combinations. I glad you did it first your video will be a great help

+Ron Thompson I never did revisit this to get it properly working. I think in the comments someone figured it out.
Great tutorial, I was in a situation with this and had no instructions and was stumped on the board that solders in back, which way switches went in and the pins that go into the - A-D and grd solder connections and i might add the pin connector they sent me had 12 pins

Oh my! That sounds like more of a challenge!
Bodge Capacitor saves all ^_^ (also thanks for saying what IC stood for)

+Jikyuu I still haven't figured out why those two switches don't do anything😁
Look at "BitBastelei #200 - DIY 16 Sound-Effect Kit". At 17:30 you will find two wires being installed insted of your resistor. That will make the thing work correctly.

Cheers, I recently found this in a box, I will resurrect it

From a website, you should use leftover trim to connect the 2 holes to the board ... the capacitor, you can connect it on the back ...
You no I will ,thanks for your videos
ABCD, typically, is used for binary codes. You should try setting those high or low. Maybe they override the switches. A high, B C D low is 1. B high, A C D low is 2 A B high, C D low is 3. So on and so forth. Maybe where I say high and low, it's the other way around.

Nope for arduino... those are pin if you wanna use with it
Another great video! :)
Where do you get these kits? Have you ever obtained one that was very useful, or are these for just for the fun of the build?

+Gentleman Adventurer eBay mainly. Funny you ask, most actually are quite useful, I will be covering a couple in detail in terms of their application and why people should buy them. E.g. signal generator with 3 wave outputs. Much fun!

Собрал также как и у тебя... и у меня тоже два левых переключателя не работают 🤔
nice vids

Certainly doesn't show lol
You have to connect two wires from the module to the main pub to get all the switches working. See kzread.info/dash/bejne/kY55pMqikpqvj6Q.html

+Ashley Booth Cool, thanks for sharing! I'm looking forward to trying it out 👍👍
It screams in terror! thats what it does!
"One pin at a time," you say, cutting two pins at once
Like trying to solve a boxless jigsaw puzzle ^_^

+Jikyuu Exactly! But without a picture to look at!
Yes I no you did this last year ,I go back and go through videos when I am about to start another kit ,you tube videos are helpful ,because the. Chinese don't give directions.

+Ron Thompson I'm glad it's a good starting place. I just repaired a laser cutter and I feel sorry for any regular Joe that buys them. Tricky to fix for sure. Look out for the video you will like it I'm sure.
500 degrees C? what the bloody hell are you soldering with at that temp Andrew? Are you using that crappy lead free solder stuff? should be able to solder all that stuff at about 300 deg C. It's also amusing watching you fumble with the resistor color code. =3 What does it do meow?

I usually have it turned up to ludicrous temperature to pull things apart or really thick connectors. The resistor colour charts remain a mystery to me!

+The Backoffice first and second lines are the value. 3rd line is the multiplier, 4th is the tolerance. Now how hard is that? =p

Some have even more lines than that? :(

The Backoffice yeah. Sometimes is another value, sometimes temp. Coeff.

Just use the age old dummy method: measure it with a multimeter and don't trust your brain!
