Some people think inside the box, other people think outside the box... Psivewri thinks *_the box._*

It’s honestly insane to see how far technology has come. Earlier in the mid-1990s there would be a floppy drive for everything for a computer and now cut to 2023. Computers can do just everything that you throw at them and they don’t come with different floppy drives instead everything is all in one. That’s how much technology has changed from the early 1990s to the early 2020s. This is pretty amazing. I wonder how technology would revolve in the next couple of years or so.

ya me to bro! ill be 30 next month and yes i remember those days! and also having DIAL-UP on the family computer in the early 2000's
Microsoft Works was multipurpose productivity software. It had a word processor, spreadsheet, and database. It was basically a no frills basic consumer version of Office.
Eucalyptus oil used to clean the box just made my day xD Thanks!
I never knew Mitsubishi made floppy disks before, I was already aware they made computers back then but not floppies
Floppy disk drives where usable back in the day got a good collection myself but everything moves on you can never keep looking at old tech brings back good memories 🥰
Yo, two videos a day bro that’s why you the goat

Free KZread content and you made it interesting. Crazy that you got a full set of sealed floppy disks. They're expensive nowadays.
I’m making an LC II restoration video and also got a full set of 7.1 install disks. I wish I could get my hands on those sealed floppies, they’re so useful but also expensive.
It's not a Psivewri video unless the Eucalyptus oil comes out 😂
I forgot all about you bro. Just wanted to thank you for your videos! They helpped me a ton when I was bed ridden!
2:40 I didn’t expect you to throw in the “bruh” sound 😂
Floppy disks are not made anymore, so having a box of unopened, sealed ones is a MAJOR FIND!
There are some net based software repository's out their that 8 bit guy talks about that you could upload those disks to, you never know there maybe some one out there looking for that software.
2:40 that floppy certainly needs some eucalyptus oil
That's the Stuff i love about your channel... and i think i remember the G3 iBook. :D Seems like ages ago.
The MS works disks are cool. That was a convenient software package to have on your Win3.1 install back in the day.

Works was a smaller and simpler version of Office. It had word processing, spreadsheet, and a few other capabilities. I still have a CD with Works.
Ooo very cool, my first ever computer was an LC iii. I remember it very well as the monitor sat right on top of it.
My first Mac was a Performa 475 and it was shipped with OS7.1, and I think I've still got the set of OS7.5 upgrade floppy disks.
1:58 It does sort of. It does have the bald eagle on it, which is the national animal.
Microsoft Works was an entire budget office suite.
Hi Psivewri! I just want to say that I’m a young computer enthusiast and that ur videos are amazing! Keep up the good work! 😄
2 vids in one day, and you survived the tent stream!
Fantastic find! Yeah System 7.1 was bundled with the LCII.
That it is sick, keep up the good work.
I'd forgotten about MS Works, a cheap alternative to Office back in the day.
Oh man I hope you archive these Floppys. some cool stuff here
These should be a collector items for the matter these disks are still in really good shape and still working
Wow two videos one day!!
Great Video!
Nice for museum possibly.
My man with the eucalyptus oil stash.
Apple accessories, rare now
This is so cool.
I was on a road trip to Arizona once and we stopped to recharge my dad’s car. By the superchargers was this abandoned house/office (just a house used for work) Inside there was a lot of old computer stuff, and even a RadioShack TRS-80 computer! Unfortunately we couldn’t take it in the car with me because we packed a lot of stuff, but I did take an old catalog with the place’s address. So maybe I’ll go back there one day.
I love your videos! That is my goal, to fix computers
Microsoft Brain Twister is a wallpaper/screensaver collection for 3.1
another upload 🤗, I will watch it in class lol
You are the King of eucalyptus oil! You should open a web store with that spray.
I was surprised to see boxed double density disks
Works was a striped down version of office iirc, mostly word document stuff I think
I love your videos
Oh goodness my first ever computer was my dad's Mac LC II... I wonder if this came with it...
Not even cardboard is safe from the Eucalyptus Oil.
Works was the home office suite.
Works was like store brand Microsoft Office.
2 vids in a day!
Microsoft Works is an office suite, with one or two pieces missing. I don't remember which. Perhaps powerpoint or the server software I never remember. It was great value for money, which is of course why Microsoft stopped it.
That's Peter Old
MS Works was a "Lite" version of MS Office
@Psivewri Unrelated question... I cant find where to buy that can of Bosistos Eucalyptus oil anywhere!!!! you should get an affiliate link and post it on the description, a US one would be nice
I don't know if I should feel old knowing someone doesn't know what Microsoft Works is...
Maan I feel old, people call that "3D save icon" nowadays haha. I remember my dad's office had a ton of those and he would bring back of it, some had copies of Doom, Hangaroo and various NES/SNES games as well. I tried installing it as a kid but I cannot make it work cause of the fact that you had to swap it out when a prompt flashes on the PC. It was too much for me as a kid and my dad wasn't a computer expert himself. But maan those NES/SNES games were cool as heck, I managed to play Chrono Trigger on an old PC with an emulator and floppy drive, fun times haha.
I know Mitsubishi made speakers and TV’s but not floppy drives!

Mitsubishi made a ton of internal computer parts, I'm actually surprised a lot more people didn't know that.
nice 720k floppy score
The box could do with a retrobrite
Haha you've got Peter's pr0n collection lol ;-)
Given how most people are stepping away from even CDs and DVDs nowadays, I doubt there would be much in the way of use for floppy disks, unless you have an old XP box (or the equivalent Mac OS version from that time) that actually has a built in floppy disk drive. An external floppy disk drive is possible, but probably not worth it given that these floppy disks were 1.44MB in size each - that basically means you'd need 3 of these disks just to store one average sized MP3 single...
From trash to treasure!
No, all that talk of how old floppies are didn't make *me* feel old at all. And nor do I own a large collection of both used and unused floppies. I don't even have a full box of unopened floppies either. Nope...
Nice
Eucalyptus oil guy
eucalyptus fucking oil!!!! fuck yeah!!!!!!!
Ah yes, brings back memories. Apple used to ship these with most Macs. Even the original iMac had a big kit. I remember buying an LC the day it came out brand new for $1500. 1989 or 90 I think. A long time ago. Apple also made and sold their own boxes of 3.5" disks. Before the internet they were sold in stores such as Egghead Software and Computerware.
what were you throwing away?
2:48 Can you show us that Microsoft brain twister collection?

I remember when my middle school moved from Apple 2e’s to Macintosh LC’s. We even got the expansion card that gave you the ability to load up an Apple 2 mode inside of the LC OS. Crazy stuff. My love of computers probably started then.
The software reveal felt ordinary until I remembered that people will pay $60 for a PlayStation 2 console but $200 for Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 FOR the PS2. 😐 Software is KING.😶
