The regurgitation of liquids and even solids, as observed somewhere around 34 mins of this episode, has also been performed by David Blaine (ive watched him live)

mysteries of magic The Impossible well worth watching I don't know how I don't know what it's called the one where it was playing chess that was my favorite always been intrigued by Magic don't know how it's performed but maybe that's the Intriguing part trying to figure it out I also like a little bit with Jeff McBride I think he's a wonderful magician Illusionist I wish there was more seen of him
I thought it had been established that the mechanical Turk did indeed have a person concealed inside. However it was done, it sure as hell wasn't an actual chess computer.

My theory is the person was not concelaed in the cabinet, but rather inside the body of the Turk. The person could look out through the Turk's eyes. The Turk was like a suit of armor. The real trick was for the person to make the Turk move as mechanically as possible to give the illusion it was driven by clockwork.
I recommend seeing the Mythbusters episode about Firewalking.
omg Jeff also believes the NLP mumbo jumbo.
