She is purely the best for Myanmar , the best Leader !!!!! she is always in the crisis and dilemma of the Myanmar Military's actions which had done and doing now, but Suu Kyi always survived and protected her country in peace! yeh, she is true iconic peace leader always and forever for ME!!

A brave woman who sacrificed her very comfortable life with her family in the UK to fight for millions of people suffering under dictatorship. Misunderstood and judged by outsiders who doesn't fully understand the deep rooted conflicts between the multi ethnic groups. A woman who tried hard to hold onto the tight rope balanced by power hungry, stupid and self-serving men who's been at each other's throat for decades. Outsiders can criticize all they want but she's the only person so far, who even managed to negotiate diplomatically with the junta without getting a bullet to her head. The closest time we have peace we have in 60 years of civil war. Now that she's out of the picture, resolving conflicts will now only end in absolute bloodshed.

People here are commenting like as if they know the politics of Myanmar and the complexity of the issue. Firstly, she is a politician, not a saint and she fought for 20 years to reach to this stage sacrificing her peaceful family life back in the UK. Secondly, people think the so called Rohingyas were driven out and killed for nothing when in fact there was an extremist group called ARSA and Rohingya militants attacked innocent civilians including hindus that started the whole situation. Thirdly, don't just listen to one side of the story by reading biased news reported by incompetent jurnos. Do ur own reasearch, learn the history and understand how complex the situation and Myanmar's politic is before blindly condemning her.

I don’t understand how people accuse ASSK for what the military has done. She and her party was the weak new government who struggled to stay in power to help building democracy, while some old brutal men with their power building for almost a century were there threatening to cease authorities (and they did). Politics in Myanmar is complicated. It is not done by one hero. Internal clashes between different ethnics are not rare. Those who made the decision to harm innocent people should face their crime. Stop expecting some kind of ‘hero’ to be responsible for everything happened in their country. Just imagine what would they have done to her if she stood up and pointing out names of those who were guilty. She was arrested, at her 77, without doing that or anything near that.

We dont know who is pulling the strings, we dont know what they want to achieve or what power vacuum they want to form through civil unrest and ethnic and religious tensions. The ARSA could be funded by an organisation that doesnt want the current transition to democracy and wants to jeopardize and frame it. Not saying violence is justifiable. Its just that rash actions and bold statements cannot be made carelessly by someone like Aung San Suu Kyi, who has the fate of the country and all 135 ethnic groups upon her shoulders. both groups are in a morally grey area and blaming and rapid "revolution" where all authority is removed will just plunge it into anarchy. Isnt that what happened to the middle east? u know, for example, toppling Saddam Hussein in Iraq under the pretense of "weapons of Mass Destruction" and then a power vacuum forms for a hotbed for terrorist groups, proxy wars etc etc. Basically what we dont want is, outside forces finding an excuse to topple the figures that holds the country together and ruining a country inside out. And Myanmar happens to be a reaaaally interesting place since its right next to China and India. Its a crucial place. Jeremy Ksor stop lying, Vietnam is a much much better country compared to Myanmar in every aspects. For sure the country of Vietnam is not as good as Singapore or Japan or South Korean economically but we still have a better government, life quality and especially the equity amongst ethicists and religion than the mess Burma land. They are pitting Rohingya against Rakhine because if she an ethnic Burman interfere, the military can just frame her as a traitor and depose of her. Then they will spout lies and close up the country/ You might as well say good bye to the Rohingya if that happens because this isnt the military first genocide and it wont be the last. There are over 50 ethnic rebel groups that all feel oppressed by the military and hates the central government. See just how they will take it if Aung San Suu Kyi start treating them as the villains. Do you think these rebel groups with their own weapons and armies will take it lying down? Words have a limited power in a world where guns rule. Aung San Suu Kyi is smart enough to balance on a tight rope. The conditions that you see in refugee camps are no different from the lives of the poor people living in Myanmar. Suu Kyi does not care about her prizes and accolades. She just wants to heal a country that cannot handle too many divides right now. Right now she's allowed Rohingya to come back and if they dont like it, she's worked with New Zealand for them to migrate there. But did they all return? No. Its obvious they want to make claim to the land (like they have during the time of the British). There are separatists in the innocent crowd that pretends they were always loyal to Myanmar to make claim to Myanmar land. And once they get that land, Bangladesh will swoop in and annex it. See, heartbreaking to those who have a compassionate heart/mind (not to the stone/rock hearted people)……see, how many people (?700, 000) with skin, muscles, bones like any of us are suffering in forests without food, clothes, protection, toilets, basic necessities, etc…last year it never came into their mind that this situation will happen to them……see, how many children, old age are suffering…..No heart to these leaders when these people are fighting with environment, cold, rain, hot, etc….as in news, many small children, women undergoing abuses, etc…..difficult to think……I am praying to our creator of us/our spirit, this earth, this universe, to provide them with all heavenly provisions that they need to survive and to bless them with land that our creator created…….These leaders have no sympathy/they have stone/rock heart…..But, in the word of our creator’s grace & Truth (Holy Bible), I read & understand &experience “ The Lord (our creator/God/our Heavenly Father for those who are in Jesus Christ) is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalms 34: 18)……..When our creator’s kingdom come, then only people can experience true peace, happiness, freedom in spirit, (Gospel Matthew 6: 10)…….. our creator told us through Lord Jesus Christ (God Himself) & promised-this evil-thinking (evil-driven, evil-powered) people of our present world/earth will go away (perish) and a righteousness dwelling earth will come soon (Gospel Matthew 24: 14; 2 Peter 3: 13; etc.)………Gospel of our creator's Grace& Truth/good news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........Today, many , living in the Word of Jesus Christ are waiting for the righteous/justice dwelling new earth to come soon…….So, His promise of no-evil earth will happen soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My Heavenly Father, your kingdom come. See, we are living in a world/earth where many are under the influence/control of evil kingdom due to sin/disobedience to our creator by first human being (Genesis 3; Romans 5; etc.)….Evil kingdom (wars, humans fights each other-those who are created to live in harmony, persecutions, abuses, attacks to the weak, family issues-divorces-suffering females-suffering small little children, cheatings, robbers, natural disasters, people live in fear, stress, many suffering ones, etc..around us)………Truth/true knowledge about our creator hidden from human minds due to sin…..but our compassionate creator sent/extended His Word of grace/compassion to His precious human creations as He saw many of His creations suffering …….Our sins are forgiven in His Grace…..He removes all the evil kingdom in us-attacking others with mouth and muscles mentality- in us, & replaces it with Heavenly kingdom…..Heavenly kingdom in us-spirit qualities-love, humility, etc-Galatians 5: 22; Romans 14: 17; ) …….Our creator wants us to walk on this earth according to His will/desire (compassion to other human beings, humbleness, obedient little children to our creator, live in harmony with others, help suffering ones, etc.)……Our creator promised in His Grace to us an Everlasting life in a soon-coming New earth where righteousness dwells (No evil/No wicked)……Gospel of our creator's Grace & Truth/good news!!!!!!!!!!!...............Whoever believes in the Son (His son &our Lord) has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them (Gospel John 3: 36)….So whoever/anyone shows obedience to our Creator’s/God’s/Heavenly Father’s grace and Truth that is sent through Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, whoever is thankful to our creator for His Grace, whoever listen to the Word of Jesus Christ and walk on this earth in His teachings/spirit qualities (compassion, humility, praying for suffering others, blessing others, use no bad words to others, blessing enemies, helping needy others, etc...), model the life of Jesus Christ on this earth,………then we are little brothers & sisters of Jesus Christ [Gospel John 20: 17; Gospel Matthew 25: 40]& the children of our Creator (Heavenly Father-children relation)….& the children will live in the new Earth, everlasting life…..Heavenly Father, your kingdom come, soon!!!! ..............Gospel of our creator's grace &Truth!!!!!!Good news to this earth dwellers who believe in the word of Grace of our creator/who believe in the word sent through Lord Jesus Christ (God Himself)

Dear Htoldnavy, thanks for your comments. as a person who was born and raised in Burma and have lived abroad, I do understand your disappointment on the agenda she is working on; your perspective and your understanding of the situation. In fact, she is a very kind and full hearted woman, as always. She is a politician and she is doing it right for a very conservative country which has been under military dictatorship for so many decades, in my opinion. I do have in mind that there are people suffering in some part of the world. But, You can keep on watching this video clip, if you wish. It is full of laughter, joy and hope, and they all are genuine. Please give us/her sometimes and we will prove the critics wrong. Thanks.

thank you for your heat felt reply. I know not all politicians can make everyone happy in their task for freedom and happiness in their countries. With the junta still in the majority and her powers limited I know she is doing as much as she can to bridge all sides in burma. It just hurts and brings me to tears to see her talking knowing deep inside she aspires strongly to do so much more than what she is doing presently. I will probably finish this at a later time but right now I feel like I am watching a chained animal trying to live

Ooh..yes! Muslims have lived in the area now known as Myanmar since as early as the 12th century, according to many historians and Rohingya groups. So for the sake of argument, do the Burmese people(monks, military ) have all the right to butchered them just because they were Muslims and different ethnic group?! I have been to Myanmar and many Burmese friends in Singapore...

I respect your statement and your questions. I mean everyone has questions about this case. But, it's hard to find an answer because there are a lot of information missing. This is a decade issue and it was only exposed recently for some reasons. So, this is the best chance for people to assume and for haters to make fault news and spread them around. So, read and listen from both sides. If you can't find the truth, don't jump into the conclusion. Now you only believe in what you were told and are blaming only one side.
