@@reremouse1157 To know how brutal the Myanmar Military is , I recommend you to read ' License to Rape ' which is reports about a part of rape cases by the Myanmar Military against the minorities. ( not all the cases because the reports were gathered among Burmese women exiled to Thailand excluding cases suppressed inside Myanmar ) The rapes Were commited by higher officers first and after he finished raping a girl , he let his subordinates gang-rape. 25% of the girls were killed by cutting her arms or being strangled , burned . Victims were mostly minority young girls including minor girls like 12 years old or below.

This is not the End of Democracy this is just the Start!!!!!🇲🇲

In my humble opinion, the coups in Myanmar and some others around the world today are totally different from the coups which took place over half a century earlier when newly independent nations, including Burma, just came out of centuries-long Colonialism, bitter and poverty-stricken, turned to a new deal of Social-Democratic system (Socialism/Communism). Today's coups, in most cases, are change in political system only, while economic system are mostly left intact.

Internet's already being banned there constantly especially in the middle of the night when the military kidnaps people who protested against them. Also, they've used real bullets against protestors with a mix of rubber bullets here and there so they can get off with killing people. It is a change of political system, but it's changing to an oppressive dictatorial regime

The vast majority of good nature people of Myanmar, though still poor compared to the rest of Asia, are devout Buddhist and have a high treasured regard for their culture and tradition. With the opening of their country to outside world, Myanmar risks the onslaught of negative unwanted foreign cultures; that it needs to shield and protect itself from, so as to keep much treasured and highly regarded Myanmar tradition, culture and religion. Moreover, vast majority of innocent people of Myanmar have suffered for way too long, at no fault of their own. Peace and prosperity to all beautiful wonderful long-suffering Myanmar people!

The Junta wants proxy parties or Generals out of uniform.

What ever happen at the end, China and Russia will work with who ever is in charge - Peace Myanmar.

This is like President Suharto from Indonesia, who used military methods (the most famous of which was Petrus (the mysterious gunman or in indonesia penembak misterius) to become the ruler of the country which was eventually overthrown by his own people.

First you should get rid of China. Don't expect anyone to help you as long as the dragon is protecting MAL. Myanmar's protest will slow down and end like how 8888 uprising ended. I can see more sanctions and MAL making more money.

Democracy is the most oversold word in the English language. You watch your favourite American sitcom and you think that's all America is all about. Does not matter what form of governance a country adopt whether democracy or communism or military rule. The only thing that matters is good governance for the good of its populace.

9:41 No, the army sees the country as a money-making tool. Just so you know, they have already pocketed at least 50 million dollars from international aids for covid. The only thing I am so worried about is that youth will be suffering if this continues. The schools and universities close because of covid for one year and now it will continue because of the civil disobedience movement to slow down or shut down the government process. I hope it will be over quickly in the coming months.

I just wish people who don't know the history of Burma do not come and write silly comments on here. We are getting sick of them. All we should say to them is go and learn our history first.

Aung Sun Su Kyi blew her chance to gain global support for Burmese Democracy-movement, had she joined international-condemnation of the Rohingya-genocide, but she didn't. Instead, she capitulated to the junta's persecution of the Muslim-minority, thereby giving legitimacy to their "nationalist" chauvinist appeal, based on cultural and religious separatism. Look where that got her. Perhaps Burma's new generation will see her failures, and realize the wisdom of fighting for democracy based on a multi-ethnic multi-cultural society of federalism based on universal-suffrage-- and not exlusivism or cult-of-personality.

They took a lot of resources such as gem, jade, timber (even human trafficking) from Myanmar by collusion with military people. Even they want to take Ayyerwaddy river which can collect gold in the upper part of Myanmar. They are also taking oil and gas with very long pipe across from Western part of Myanmar which still has a lot of resources. Now they focus on 2 Ports which are geographically right location of the world trade shipping area. You can google it. CCP totally enjoying our resources for decades.

Ask any local Burmese and they will highlight to you that jeans and T shirts are not their daily attire. Btw Burmese mob per hire is only $100 per person compared to HK's $1000.
