HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY FROM MYANMAR! ❤️
I'm so happy that I FINALLY made it back to Myanmar after 5 loooong years, and I am shocked my how much this country has evolved.
5 years ago, there weren't any ATM machines and now there's about 10 on every street. 5 years ago there was a huge shortage in hotels, and now there are hundreds to choose from. 5 years ago the domestic airport was a tiny shack and now it's as modern and glorious as the one in Bangkok.
All I can say is that I am thrilled to be back in this incredible country, and I hope you're ready to hear some of Asia's most unique stories here over the coming 5 days!

Oh, it is absolutely related to the west. The kissing sound is a reclamation of colonial history, like how African Americans reclaim the N word. Its a little hint, a reminder of history, when Britain acted as overlords and fucked over Burma and its territories so hard, even funding the killer U Saw who assassinated the independence leader Aung San that aimed for ethnic unity, with every ethnic race having turns to be the head of state. Don't be so proud with mocking culture when your ancestors were most likely the biggest crime and drug lords with a fancy title of colonial masters and almost all land and ethnic conflict in the south and south east region could trace back to European interventions and meddling. Talk to me after every stolen jewels and artifacts from colonies have been returned to their rightful locations instead of being decadently flaunted on their crowns and in their museums.

Myanmar ( Burma ) is actually a unique country with it's own unique culture. It's not a mixed or influenced culture by Thai. As a Burmese, saying Burmese culture is a mix of Chinese, Thai and Indian cultures do offend me. There are many historical and cultural evidences that Burmese culture already exist since AD 849 ( Pagan Dynasty ). Please do respect Burmese ( Myanmar ) people and their culture.

@@manishtaker8622 Most of Myanmar is unrelated to the conflict. Although the ICJ gave the jurisdiction to investigate Myanmar, the keyword is "investigate". Just hours ago, 15 kids in a school got fatally hit with the shells between the AA and the military. The international community downplaying the threat of AA in Budhidaung township is hurting every innocent civilian, both rohingya and rakhine, that are caught in between the armed conflict that hasn't ended for over six decades. You bring the Rohingya back in, they are still going to become the scapegoat for either side trying to ruin the reputation of the other. Look at the forgotten war by sky news on Kachin state wars with weapons supplied by China for decades. It's more complex than you think and I respect the KZreadrs who can differentiate politics from the people who are impoverished and struggling enough and don't deserve the same treatment as the perpetrators. Come to Yangon and you will see in the center, a pagoda, a mosque, a Hindu temple and a Jewish synagogue just a few blocks down

Considering how most of them were living well with the neighbors till the 21st century when Americans started to involve themselves in the Middle East which started most of the problems, you should actually save money and visit countries like Egypt, Dubai, Qatar, Pakistan, Morocco, Indonesia, turkey before you say “Muslims cause internal problems”.
