Nice & Neat the podcast has a new home! The same dope show with the same dope episodes, Nice & Neat is now part of the @REVOLTtv family and their #REVOLTPodcastNetwork! 🎙
EP. 69) 🚨NEW EPISODE of @niceandneatthepodcast available on KZread and all streaming platforms‼️
EP. 69) “MY WOMAN MAKES ME FEEL APPRECIATED.”
This episode was long overdue for us. We are all in serious committed relationships and not only do we appreciate our women we also feel extremely appreciated by our women. Talking about how we got here was important for us and plenty to take away from this episode.
We also talked about asking very intentional questions to our partners … including, “Do you trust my leadership.” One hell of a question to ask your partner without assuming, we discovered this was a great check in question.
Again, happy Women’s month to all the women out there, you’re valued and you’re appreciated!

Y’all literally give me hope! To see attractive men have intellectual and deep conversations on emotional intimacy and showing appreciation to the women in their life let’s me know that my person is out there too and there’s no way I’m settling. In a world full of players and emotionally unintelligent guys you guys are the standard. Other podcasts have made men look so bad so i look forward to hearing from you guys every week. Funny that Duke asked the question “how do you ask your women if she trust your leadership?”26:32. I literally asked my fiancé the same question about a week before this episode aired. I was not ashamed at all for asking nor was I afraid of what her answer would be. Thank God I received a “Certainly! You would know if I didn’t trust you” lol. But if I would have received a no from her I would have respectfully asked in what ways could I improve. That’s how we grow!

Something that has helped me in my waiting season is to study God’s design and intention for men and women. As a woman I’ve found better understanding of my role through the word of God. And vice versa I have come to understand the role of a man/husband through the word as well. What does the word say ? Then go from there. Both man and woman must be submitted to God. A man is to lead but a man is also called to love his wife like Jesus loves the church. Women are called to submit to our Husbands as we submit to the Lord. Both men and women are called to serve each other; and thus we can serve the Lord through our relationships . I’ve also come to realize that thinking either party is the “prize” has damaged our perspective and value of each other. You are not my prize and vice versa; you are apart of my assignment. Because often times God uses our partners to build us up where we are weak so we can be more pleasing to him. God shows this in Hosea. As a woman I feel it’s my job to steward God’s son well and be delicate with him. And I believe the same goes for men; to steward God’s daughters well. It’s all about service.

Brittany (hope I spelled that right) is one lucky woman. Jalon's faith based answer at 33:42 was everything to me, especially with my own personal developments over the last year. Self love and self respect is sooo important because everything we say and do stems from that. But even more important than that is the source. I love that he didn't directly claim credit for her development because he gave all the glory to God. He showed her how to get to know God (through the word) and to cultivate a relationship with Him (through prayer). When you truly truly believe that God loves you, you learn to love Him and put your trust in Him...mannn the sky is the limit. It's going to be blessings on blessings. And that in turn will have a beautiful effect on all the people in her life (her man, her family, her friends, her colleagues, etc) she will be able to pour into. I love that for sis!🥰 I was blessed to have a man introduce me to the word, and though he didn't stick around to see the growth and he wasn't the man for me, I am forever grateful for that initial inspiration. I thank God for that blessing. Everything happens for a reason and you can learn a lesson from every person you encounter if you just pay attention. I hope I can go on to inspire others to get closer to God as well by simply sharing my testimony and being who God calls me to be. ❤️ Thanks for this wonderful episode guys. I know the Lord has a wonderful man of God waiting for me somewhere lol. Can't wait to meet him. 😊

Filled with gratitude for your examples of leadership in our community. I don't often get to listen to a group of black men uplift us in this way.... and also encourage each other's relationships in this way. We NEED more solution-based conversations like this that empathize with both sexes. This is such a nuanced dialogue with brilliant follow-up questions!!! Lots of meaningful substance in your provocative discussion. And shout out to your representations of black male masculinity👑!!! You hold yourselves accountable but you also take the lead in fostering a relationship environment in which there's a shared responsibility of holding each other accountable and trusting the other to inform their growth. Some of you have even taught your women how to pour into the relationship from the same healthy source and to trust their growth processes. Many of us have never encountered Black men who are equipped to lead us in this way nor willing to invest and pour into the development of their women. The ultimate model of masculinity doesn't seek to be protected by the comforts & conveniences that the ego provides, which, he is aware will arrest his development. And it's so important that we understand the value this information brings to our community so that healthy examples of black male leadership are being propagated, inspiring many to want to adopt a new narrative with healthier models of masculinity AND femininity. Shout out to you for leading with love and humility. God bless you and your women. #Lovethat4us #Blacklove🖤🤎🧡💛
