NEW EPISODE of @niceandneatthepodcast available on all streaming platforms‼️
““Dr Bobby Price gives the secrets to living a longer healthier life” (EP. 93)
Often times we assume because our parents or relatives had high blood pressure we inherited that from them and we’ll have high blood pressure as well. What is really inherited is eating and health habits … Come to find out 95% of diseases comes from the foods we eat and only 5% are inherited. This week we had Dr. Bobby Price on, certified plant-based nutritionist, exercise physiologist and doctor of pharmacy. Dr. Price is also the author of Vegucation over Medication! 🔑 Omar is all about gut health and that starts with what we eat. He was locked in throughout this one and had some great questions that could help change how you view food for yourself and your family. Also, if you don’t want to commit to a plant based lifestyle there are gems throughout this episode on the foods you can ADD that will lead to healthier lifestyle choices.

As a certified health coach, it’s crazy how I obtained my certification back in 2018 at the height of my health journey but I really feel like I fell off going into quarantine in 2020. Fast forward 2024, now, hearing this just reminded me of the whole reason why I obtained my certification in the first place. I’ve never believed that my genes or my family’s genetic code couldn’t be reversed if I switched my diet so I’m glad that I was able to hear a full conversation about all of the things that I preached so heavily on for so long. This has been the best video I’ve seen in 2024 thus far. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

He never did. He did not answer my calls of follow-up on the promise, and the business even did not answer the BBB when I filed a complaint. His Instagram also never addressed my complaints. 😒 BUYER BEWARE.

One of the important things that we often overlooked is praying and giving thanks to God for our food. The Bible tells to bless our food and water before eating, but sometimes we forget to so, but it's very important to having good health. Why? Words have power!

I was raised to Adventist and have been strict vegetarian for a time. I'm doing better than ever as almost strict carnivore now at 55 years old. and also don't don't follow man-made religions anymore. I follow the creators actual instruction instead. you know that instruction that pagan men told us was done away with?!

I arrived @ a mostly plant based diet quite unintentionally. I have periodontal disease & had osseous surgery to save my teeth. I could only eat foods blended in the blender. I bought spinach, sweet potatoes, kale, carrots, celery, strawberries, raspberries & blueberries. I drank smoothies for breakfast & had soft blended veggies for lunches & dinners. After 4 days of this, I noticed all of my menopause symptoms had disappeared. I felt energized & well. I continue to eat mostly fresh produce because of the way I feel when I eat it. My skin & hair look great, too. At age 56, I lost the soft area around my waist. I also do brisk walking, yoga & aerobics with 2 lb weights. Diet was the part that I needed to make that soft area disappear. I have never had a weight problem in my life, but middle aged presented some problems with my waist area. I will continue to phase meat from my diet & drink more water, smoothies & natural juices that I make at home. I want to live well & long. I also want to get off of hypertension medication. That is my next goal!

1 week+ update. Shifted my focus to being a better human being starting from inside out. Fasting, cutting carbs and more fruits and veggies have me more energized. Next step gym membership at minimum 3 times per week until I can work my way to 5 days based on work schedule. Don’t be mistaken it’s not an easy change but I’m motivated to live a healthy and more spiritual in tune life not only for myself but for my son and loved 1s.

And be careful at the farmers market. Take a close look at the boxes behind them…they may actually be grossers who brought in their food from the grocery store to fake you out selling it at the farmers market. Have the conversation like Mr. Bobby Price said ask him where their farm is? Ask them questions about how they Process their produce, is it sprayed, how far is there farm from where you are? Is it local? And ask them the address? Get a business card check them out online. See if you can go by the farm!

It is wonderful that an African American brother is spreading the word about health and wellness through a Plant base diet, just like he said these companies are getting richer and making us sicker, we have to wake up and take owner ship of our health and stop putting harmful food into our bodies. This is so true! Thank you for sharing Dr B Price with us! I am Nigerian American and grew up in the countryside of Ondo state in the 60s and 70s! We ate pure fresh vegetables, carbs, fruits and fish; probably beef once a year. After 6:00 PM, most of my people don’t eat again! They ate breakfast because rigorous work on the farm and dinner, no lunch! I saw the benefits and I decided to change my diet in America to that early lifestyle of my people! They had high life expectancy and no dementia or diabetes! Most of them lived to be 90s -189 until we moved to urban areas and the sunburns! Thanks guys!❤️🤗🙏

His sister is a Naturopath dr and put him in a strict diet and gave him some remedies. Because she doesn’t live in the same state with us she found him a Naturopath specialized on oncology and this dr told him that the processed meats caused this type of cancer . He also looked for an oncologist that would accept him taking all this supplements, long story short he was/is cancer free after 7 months of doing both types of treatments !!

I became a 7th day Adventist as a teenager, and they have been a blessing in my life. I was exposed to plant based lifestyle through this wonderful denomination. Spiritual lifestyle is beautiful as well. People question and at times make fun of my diet but I'm not on meds, haven’t had major surgery, etc. I'm turnibg 45 this year, my mother passed away when she was 55. Father currently in and out of hospital, cousins had stokes and major heart surgery, uncles had transplants, and so on. It hurt to see this. Even so, I am praising God that he led me to that church. It has been a blessing in my life since a teenager! Its just sad to see my family and others I know sick or dying off and not listening due to what they are eating!

I also eat really healthy and clean. I cut out meat years ago and I eat almost everything unsweetened. I have found that the doctors have an abundance of pills but not enough cures. @@KevinSamuelsKid so you are saying that the enemy has more power than God? Yes they have tried to corrupt but God has preserved his word

Man by far one of the best if not the best episode I’ve watched. When I say chillssss, I got it, especially when he went into speaking on what the Bible tells us to eat. I had to keep pausing rewinding to make sure I interpreted what he said. Definitely opened the mind up to better living. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

The Bible also says if a man rapes a woman, he should pay her father 50 shekels of silver and she becomes his wife. Stop picking and choosing what part of the Bible to take as truth. It says eat all the plants, that includes the tons of poisonous ones too. So we can eat houseplants and weeds and any leaf on any tree? Of course not.

The Bible has been altered. You can’t use it for facts. We are afraid of meat for no reason. Hopefully we’ll see that it’s what we are meant to eat. Everyone knows the great tribes of Africa were hunters not vegetarians.

We are having a conversation, right? I definitely agree that folks should eat more whole foods. I also believe that correlation isn't causation. Yes, our community can make improvements with nutrition, but nutrition is just a piece of the puzzle. Stress management and accessibility play a part as well. I also believe food has more than one purpose.

I think these conversations can come across very much antiblack and insensitive. It’s way more nuanced just like you stated . And to paint soul food as not being nutritionally valuable is intellectually dishonest when most of it is vegetables. Every food group even sugar has value for our bodies but it must be balanced.

This is being oversimplified because nutrition alone does not lead to disease. Environmental factors, stress, poverty, racism, socioeconomics, and genetics play a significant role in disease and lifespan
