EP. 77) “YOUR FRIENDS DON’T UNDERSTAND YOUR GROWTH”
As young adults, we’re experiencing relationships and the aspirations of family and it takes us in different directions. How do we best navigate our friendships? A lot of questions came from this episode that we addressed and we know you ALL can relate. Are your friends growing with you or not growing in your direction. Are your friends at a place where they are even ready to grow? Also, how have some of your friendships changed over the years as you’ve grown and matured?
We took a deep dive into the importance of friendship and building your personal community that aligns with your life. The healthiest people manage to hold onto the friendships that nourish them, while forming new connections at the same time. Losing and gaining friends is a normal part of life. This episode was one of our personal favorites, with us being able to understand the develop of our friendship and clearly define where we currently stand with one another.
Make sure to comment and let us know if you are or have been in a similar place with your friendships
If you enjoy this episode please do us a favor and share with your friends and family! 🙏🏾

I would love for you guys to share more of how you became friends and each share what the other 2 bring to the table. Also, I would love Duke’s culture to be addressed. How Nigerian was his household and to hear how the others think it impacted him. Sometimes I wonder if that’s where the directness and his unwavering stances comes from. He seems to be good at taking emotion out of things

Communication is definitely key, but also effort with prioritizing friendships. What can be difficult is when the value of each other differs or changes. Misunderstandings or assumptions can be detrimental to friendships just as much as envy or jealousy or hatred.

Truly, thank you guys for having this conversation. I feel like there’s a narrative where ppl feel like if you’re not friends with certain ppl for forever then there’s something wrong with you. As if life doesn’t happen and you grow apart due to adulting and/or different values. It’s all good but we have to understand this is a natural part of life. ❤

Yes if you don’t know where your value is when someone grows people get resentful. You need to make yourself valuable and vise versa or it’s inevitable the friendship will end. I’m new in my 30s and I realize the same most friendships were surface level. Now I intentionally look for people who have similar interest and mindset so we can be valuable to each other outside of just “turning up”.

Great conversation and well needed. I have always been the leader in my friendships due to the fact I'm well rounded and almost every aspect of life. With that being said I'm not as dependant upon people but i rely on my God Given talents and revelations. Most of my friends tends to lean on me heavy "seem like" for everything so they have positioned themselves to depend on me and have detachment issues. As a man it should be understood that our mission on earth is timed and our paths has to traveled with love and understanding. Never hesitate to contact and communicate how i can help but understand you have work to do on self. Until then, you'll potentially make yourself a burden "on others and yourself".

The love of money is the root of all evil. Billionaires do evil things for more when they will never lack of money for generations. Most of the crimes of the world are committed by people who have money trying to get more of it. Jalon is right. People who lack of money do crimes to but they are not the majority.

Dreads said he misses the times they had but faded keeps saying he’s good cuz he’s grown but also if a friend feels like he’s being distant that he should express it. But he’s alssssooooo saying the fried should just know and jump in flow whatever that is. What’s understood ain’t gotta be explained. It dooooooo thooooo . Then the Ghost” relationship polls, they literally were tryna help one another understand their relationship perspectives by using characters and scenarios.
