As young adults, we’re experiencing relationships and the aspirations of family and it takes us in different directions. How do we best navigate our friendships? A lot of questions came from this episode that we addressed and we know you ALL can relate. Are your friends growing with you or not growing in your direction. Are your friends at a place where they are even ready to grow? Also, how have some of your friendships changed over the years as you’ve grown and matured?
We took a deep dive into the importance of friendship and building your personal community that aligns with your life. The healthiest people manage to hold onto the friendships that nourish them, while forming new connections at the same time. Losing and gaining friends is a normal part of life. This episode was one of our personal favorites, with us being able to understand the develop of our friendship and clearly define where we currently stand with one another.

Y’all definitely have a good thing going on. It’s actually great, needed, and necessary
With God in your life answers will be given and there WILL BE NO VOIDS!!!

Agreed. It's refreshing to see black men on KZread speaking from their perspective. There's hope after all! Lol
I would love for you guys to share more of how you became friends and each share what the other 2 bring to the table. Also, I would love Duke’s culture to be addressed. How Nigerian was his household and to hear how the others think it impacted him. Sometimes I wonder if that’s where the directness and his unwavering stances comes from. He seems to be good at taking emotion out of things
Watching you guys make me feel like I am with my older brothers. I love it!
As a Duke Stan, I am throwing my shoe at the tv!!! Duke preach the worddddddd!!! Lol Nothing but straight factssss!!! I love his input every time. I’m not taking no Duke slander😭 I’m not taking no Nice and neat slander but def not about Duke😂🤞🏽🫶🏽
Y’all are super in tune with yourselves and I love that the most! The high intelligence oozes out in how y’all communicate in this podcast. My ears are always open
Another Banger! 🎉I can’t tell you how you guys have coached me through learning how to communicate things to friends/ family/ coworkers and my significant other. The impact is beyond the views, thank you Big bros! #niceandneat
The grammar doesn’t matter, the heart does. Well done
Communication is definitely key, but also effort with prioritizing friendships. What can be difficult is when the value of each other differs or changes. Misunderstandings or assumptions can be detrimental to friendships just as much as envy or jealousy or hatred.
Y’all are literally MY favorite podcast in all of podcast ! Keep it up fellas ! The positivity is what keeps me
26:21 come thruuu Omar!!! I was thinking that!! Duke you’d have to communicate that friend 🥹 you’ll need to be sure y’all seein eye to eye on that. But I definitely get both perspectives ♥️
This was a good 1 !!! I’ve been battling navigating through friendships for the past 2 years smh so this but a lot into perspective!!
Great episode I feel a lot of people could relate to this. If friends not growing like you and don’t express things it could cause issues. communication is key. 💯‼️
Oh! Congratulations on the new addition to the fammm!! ❤ 🍼 I saw the IG post.

This pod is so Underrated!!!
Truly, thank you guys for having this conversation. I feel like there’s a narrative where ppl feel like if you’re not friends with certain ppl for forever then there’s something wrong with you. As if life doesn’t happen and you grow apart due to adulting and/or different values. It’s all good but we have to understand this is a natural part of life. ❤
These my guys man
I’m glad y’all dropped today fr! Shits been rough
Great episode 👏🏾👌
Watching from South Africa🇿🇦...my favorite podcast ❤
this was a great conversation! And i do believe some people don't understand growth and they still try to meet you where yall used to be. it is a hard conversation without try to offend anyone

I'm glad that I found this podcast 🙌🏾
Great and enlightening discussion. I gained valuable insights from everyone's viewpoints.
Loved this episode! Love hearing Kings talk
This is important.
Yes if you don’t know where your value is when someone grows people get resentful. You need to make yourself valuable and vise versa or it’s inevitable the friendship will end. I’m new in my 30s and I realize the same most friendships were surface level. Now I intentionally look for people who have similar interest and mindset so we can be valuable to each other outside of just “turning up”.
I’m 100% with Duke on this one!
I needed this
My GUYS!!!!! got hooked due to an FB clip, got my man hooked too, love the content, convo, the ENTIRE VIBE IS IT!!!!!!
Great conversation and well needed. I have always been the leader in my friendships due to the fact I'm well rounded and almost every aspect of life. With that being said I'm not as dependant upon people but i rely on my God Given talents and revelations. Most of my friends tends to lean on me heavy "seem like" for everything so they have positioned themselves to depend on me and have detachment issues. As a man it should be understood that our mission on earth is timed and our paths has to traveled with love and understanding. Never hesitate to contact and communicate how i can help but understand you have work to do on self. Until then, you'll potentially make yourself a burden "on others and yourself".
Loved this
I think he’s right abt the love of money because at the end of the day you don’t care about what you lack if you don’t love it..
This is so good 🔥
Value - this really hits different after watching episode
Good one! I definitely connected with this one
Fire conversation.
Great discussion brothas!
Great podcast 🔥
The love of money is the root of all evil. Billionaires do evil things for more when they will never lack of money for generations. Most of the crimes of the world are committed by people who have money trying to get more of it. Jalon is right. People who lack of money do crimes to but they are not the majority.
🥃 Great topic, as always.
Heeeeey everybody, what's the deal????!! This is by far one of my favorite podcasts, I find it to be very thought-provoking while being entertaining! Sending love from South africa! ❤
Can we get an episode on the meaning of the word "family" as it pertains to blood family and chosen family?
I’m here at my favorite number as a minute #7, oh damn and the episode is #77 it’s lit
What’s the ground work? Is it situation to situation that we establish what we invest for us to air out the amount of communication we have and when?

Great question
💎
First time listener.....buddy who talking about but "what if I never experienced that" ......red flag, that's yo life we still individuals. 11:28 did that, made them aware of it twice, they made it seem like I was tripping...time has passed I don't respect or care about them the same way and now that they see me developing, growing etc. they trying to stay in contact but nah I'm cool....and I honestly wish them the best but they didn't seem to care and over time I adapted to how they valued the friendship and now instead of them going with me they get to watch. 🤷🏾♀️🤘🏽
I’m with Duke. I don’t think I have to communicate changes in my life.
Duke, was the word "situational" when describing friendships?
gr8 ep!! 🖤🖤🖤
I’m a Ghost fan too J!❤
Duke was looking for the term "Superficial Friends" 22:55

Hey y’all
8:30 this separates men from boys FRFR
I’m so sorry but Franklin Saint.
LET THIS BE CLEA MANE I NEVA MISS A MFN EP💯
Ah, man... 19:00-20:25 accurately describes the feeling I've been experiencing within a friendship. Hopefully, we can have the conversation
Familiarity breeds contempt.
Is it me or are they talking about themselves subliminally. Dreads said he misses the times they had but faded keeps saying he’s good cuz he’s grown but also if a friend feels like he’s being distant that he should express it. But he’s alssssooooo saying the fried should just know and jump in flow whatever that is. What’s understood ain’t gotta be explained. It dooooooo thooooo . Then the Ghost” relationship polls, they literally were tryna help one another understand their relationship perspectives by using characters and scenarios. Maybe I’m not watching what y’all watching
Nah rich ppl commit more crimes we just know more about the crimes committed in impoverished areas through the news. The rich don’t snitch and they pay for the hush
Let’s get real. Do y’all guys each secretly think your chick is the baddest one out of all of y’all? I know how people think when it comes to certain BS. So I’m asking do y’all have those underlying opinions about your girl & do your girls think they the baddest one individually? 💀

That’s a toxic way of thinking, plus all three of their partners are beautiful.

@@Mimi8402 It’s about how you look at it. Stop acting as if people don’t walk in a room thinking this already. You just aren’t being real about it. I’ve seen 1st hand where chicks would sit around & literally say I’m the baddest one in here. I know every woman feel that way about themselves & there’s nothing wrong with that. Y’all just don’t like to discuss the sh*t that makes you feel uncomfortable.
@Mimi8402

@@audiotv4667 y’all just lack maturity and depth. When you’re in that mid-late 30s range, you understand the bigger picture better, you’re grateful that your friends are alive and physically/mentally good, you’re grateful that you’re all happy and look good together. Please grow up.

@@Mimi8402 Girl bye, don’t drag age into this. 30+ are the main ones that be out here doing BS. Please stop with the lies. You have a very limited mindset. The fact you still think maturity equates to age let’s me know you aren’t very wise when it comes to opening your mind up to the extinct of knowing that age doesn’t matter when it comes to a person maturity level. Even at 30 you can be childish. Remove yourself & your ignorance. Nowadays younger folks are doing sh*t that older folks haven’t done & being the adults in situations that these old people still out here struggling with.

@@Mimi8402Lol girl what ? You are so wrong about that. Age does not define a person maturity level. So right there you are wrong. Two, he’s not lying about what he said, rather you wanna disagree or not. There are girls who I’ve been around & witnessed saying stuff like that. Acting as if they are the baddest in the room. Even your own friends think they look better than you. It’s not something you see people talk about but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. It definitely exist & I’m sure you have been that person before. So you can cut the BS. I don’t see one lie he told.
These men have changed my entire perspective on life and i love them so much for thatttt🫱🏼🫲🏾🫶🏼
