So I visited my dad yesterday, and he saw my new pronoun pin (they/them) and when he was driving me home later he asked me questions about my gender identity and preference to make sure he is up to date with everything, as well as listening to me read an open letter I was writing to come out to extended family members. The car ride was really nice, and my eyes watered. I came out to my dad 4 years ago, but have been nervous about reminding people about my pronouns and advocating for myself. (And my dad is a little forgetful at 66) I told my dad “just pretend I’m three people in a trench coat” when he is trying to figure out how to use they/them pronouns. I’m passing on the good vibes for the people who need encouragement or assurance with their families and/or loved ones.

When my husband and I were dating, he kept a file on his smart phone with my clothing sizes, favorite colors, favorite foods, etc. We've been together for 13 years and he still has it. So he never forgets and can get me surprises when he can. I know a lot of women would probably have thought it was weird or a little creepy since he started doing it on our first date, but I have always thought it was sweet and showed how much he cared and wanted to be able to get things right.

My face hurts from smiling while watching this
My grandparents were married for 45 years. They got together when my grandfather came ba k from Korea. My grandfather was always quiet and never really talked about his feelings or anything. I ended up moving in with them as a teenager. Ever morning my grandfather got up and made a pot of coffee and poured a travel cup for my grandmother to take with her to work. My grandfather didn't drink coffee and was retired so had no need to get up that early. I asked him why he did it. "She is always in a rush and it's something I can do." Was all he said. Later when I was in my mid twenties my grandfather had a stroke. My grandmother was still working. I came over one morning to get something. My grandfather came up to me and indicated he wanted me to follow him. He led me to the kitchen. And with a grunt (that was all he was able to verbalize) pointed at the coffee maker. I heard my grandmother getting ready for work and it hit me. I asked him if he wanted my help to make her coffee. He nodded a large smile on his face. So I helped him make her coffee. When she made it to the kitchen he held out her travel mug out to her in his shaking hands and she just broke down in tears. The man may not have been able to say the words anymore but I have never seen a more moving expression of love.

A little bit of 'older generation cuteness'- when my grandma and papaw got married (early 2000s) my papaw painted his 1969 Mustang convertible her favorite color. It's bright green, or as my family calls it, Grandma Green. My papaw would have done anything for her. He learned how to sew just so he could spend more time with her in her sewing room. He went on so, so, so many road trips with her, even though she is a VERY fast and VERY scary driver. When he passed at 90 years old, his daughter thanked my grandma for giving her her dad back for the years they were together, because apparently before they got married he was one of those "GET OFF MY LAWN" type old men. It's still impossible for me to picture him like that. He was always so loving and kind the entire time I knew him. He was even the first person to not just voice his support and acceptance when I came out, but to actually show it. When I marry I want to be a husband like he was.

My parents started out as best friends. They met as adults through my aunt and they had a lot in common so they hung out whenever Dad was back in town after his Alaskan fishing jobs. Grandma co ran a flower shop at the time with her second husband so Dad grew up thinking giving flowers was normal. So when he got back to town, he'd take a rose and leave on Moms front porch so she would know he was available to hang out again. He swears he was not in love with her at the time, it was entirely casual for him. It wasn't until my mom decided to move to Tacoma that my dad finally realized that he couldn't live without her and begged her to stay. She did. They've now been married 35 years. Every so often, my dad will randomly buy a single rose and drop it off at my moms workplace so she can show off to her coworkers how romantic her husband is. I want to continue the tradition someday.

They're the best!
Everyone (including us) always thought my ex and I would grow old together, but we always vowed to not make it ugly if we would ever split out of respect for eachother. When we did part ways after 15 years (our entire adulthood up until that point) it wasn't easy to keep that word, but I'd be damned if I'd lose my soulmate as well as my partner. There was a reason we were in eachother's lives and even if that romanic connection's not there anymore, being besties still I think honours our bond. When our cat, whom I took with me, passed away, I put him on speaker phone so she could hear both her humans and he came over to console me and take us to the crematorium. Some bonds deserve to survive a breakup, the dog post really touched me. ❤️
I used to work at a gym(never work at a gym ever) and this really old couple would come in together in matching outfits everyday and it always melted my heart seeing them enjoying each other's company. Best of all their personalities were polar opposites so they always balanced each other out.
I love it when Jamie and OT Collab so much, amazing to see you guys together again! :D
Okay so I absolutely adore my bf. He made me a bracelet and I got really upset when it fell off and so he made me like 4 more. And then yesterday he asked me how night vision worked and we spent 10 minutes together figuring it out and then we also send space articles back and forth bc we both find that stuff really interesting
I thought I had already seen the most wholesome thing of today, when I saw the baby froggies in my mom's garden pond had finally climbed off the pond and were hopping over the lawn grass with their tiny toes and brand-new feet (they were smaller than the tip of my pinky). I've watched them grow sknce spring, taken care for the pond to have enough water, and I feel like a proud parent right now. But I think Jamie and OT making a video together is even more wholesome than the froggies. 💗
You could say that John and Emily had... chemistry

That farmer boy took "you may fascinate a woman by giving her a piece of cheese" to a whole new level
When I worked at a retail pharmacy, I was always surprised by the disparity between moms and dads picking up meds for kids. The moms without exception always knew the full birth-dates of every single child they had, but dads constantly mixed them up with other kids and I always thought that was sad. I'd be upset if my parent forgot when my birthday was, even if I had siblings. So whenever I had dads that DID remember the birth-dates in order for each child I always mentally ranked them higher in the list of customers I liked than the ones who couldn't.

@@OverlyPositiveFanboy oh let me tell you though, we had the WORST time with a twin for a completely different reason XD she and her sister both got a very restricted medication that you had to jump through so many loops if you're female to get. And every single month, I kid you not, we had to fight insurance to get them to approve it because they constantly tried to say "oh but she filled it on X day" NO, that was her twin, the other sister needs it now! It always seemed to happen to only one twin, not the other. I felt so bad for this girl because this happened every month and really stressed her out because this med requires a very tight time frame in which she could pick it up without having to do several things over again. She's the only person I've ever had this problem trying to get insurance to understand. They have both twins on the insurance, I do not understand why this always happened to her. StraightsBeingOK always makes me think of my best friend and her boyfriend. They're the cutest couple I've seen in my entire life. They're adorably affectionate all of the time, yes, but the goofy things I've seen them do are almost better. He got home, looked around, didn't see her... and hid behind the door to scare her.
JAMIE!! I have a tip for you to stay cool! Get a spray bottle that can mist and fill it with water then every once in a while spray the air above you and let the mist fall on you. You get the cooling effect without drenching yourself. You and Shaba(?) stay safe in the heat! ❤

Like, I would watch a video where they react to a subreddit that I normally avoid (because it's too upsetting or whatever), because the presence of OT and Jamie would have such a calming effect that it wouldn't have the usual negative effect on me
10:55 - that comic strip is in the sunday comics, and they're the sweetest.
So love hearing the two of you laught at these memes and things. The marriage proposal as Mr Darcy, is a reference to the film version of Pride and prejudice with Colin Firth as MR Darcey there is scene where he emerges from water in a whit shirt, Colon had worked out for this role and was reall buff physicaly,it became an iconic image from thra film and it's imspire many romatic gestures since,Colin as Mr Darcey is seen as the ulimate male sex symbol from the film, the image of him in the wet shirt went viral really quickly.,it's become almost a thing nw with some women and some gay men saying they are looking for their own Mr Darcey (just like Colin Firth) in the film,it also made Colin a bit of a gay icon too for a time. OT and Jamie and these memes...this is almost too wholesome to handle!
People really do get surprised when you remember the things they like when they told you in like a casual conversation. It’s my favorite thing to see people light up when you give them a random gift because your knew they would like it.
3:46 In the book, Mr Darcy throws himself in a lake because he is so overcome by his love for Lizzie

11:00 sounds like he heard the advice "if you fancy a lady give her a piece of cheese"
And i just continued to follow that wholesome collab. With wholesome content too😄 Feels like the light at the end of the high-amount-of-toxic-and-so-not-okay-people tunnel that allows you to keep a little faith in the potential for kindness in humanity. Just like the twoof you. Keep shining!
