My Wife Enables Our Mooching, Violent, Lazy Son Who Lives In Our Backyard

Ойын-сауық

Susan says she is desperate for Dr. Phil to help her 27-year-old son, JJ. Susan claims her son is a lazy, stealing, unemployed, violent moocher who refuses to support himself or his 4-month-old son because he prefers to waste his days lying around drinking while she foots the bill, so she kicked him out. Susan’s husband, Steven, says his wife went out and bought a camper van and relocated JJ from his bedroom to the garden in the backyard where she continues to bring food and even money out to him. JJ claims his mother, Susan, is disrespectful and should do more to motivate him rather than constantly criticize him. Susan and Steven say a mooching son doesn’t come cheap and claim to have spent almost $60,000 keeping up with the lifestyle to which JJ is accustomed. They also claim JJ has stolen upward of $28,000 worth of their most treasured possessions, including a diamond ring and a very rare coin collection to sell for money to buy alcohol and drugs. After witnessing several violent outbursts from JJ, Steven say enough is enough and points the finger directly at his wife, whom he calls the "ultimate enabler." (2216022RR)

I watched an episode of Britians most taboo last night. There was a mother who did the same thing with her son. The enabling of her baby boy ruined her marriage with her husband who still loved his wife very much, and it strained the relationship she had with her daughter. At 27 he throttled his mother and then strangled her to death, took her body to a caravan park and stuffed it under a caravan, and then proceeded to use her debit cards to party and see escorts. She thought she was doing what was best for her son too.

One day he may kill them. He is a sociopath. Saying no to him shd have been done years ago. The son is shameless and useless. The mother is too. Be a parent. Wake up! Your job is to prepare him for his future life but also to prepare him to be a member of society. Not to be An unwanted member of society. This isn’t love. She is being selfish.

Somewhere and at sometime in the past a total disconnect happened between them and their son. They are all inherently good people, but he has lost the plot and his mother enables him and breaks him down emotionally by saying awfully hurtful things to him and then try to rationalise it to herself that she is "disciplining" him. She may mean it well, but she is the main reason for him remaining where he is.

I have multiple sclerosis and my brain has lesions and the brain tissue atrophy in this kids head is alarming. If you noticed that his brain frontal lobes are virtually non existent it would have significant role in his behavior towards others (from his immaturity to violence). The frontal lobe development in humans begins at puberty to the mid twenties and has has been injuring his brain much of the time that frontal lobe development is supposed to be taken place. I relate to this kid as i was once a 15 drunk. I got sober and stayed committed to my sobriety for 40 years. If he sobers up reinvents his life with a 12 step program, sponsor, anger management and professional help he may walk a free man. His other options are incarceration or death. He has crossed a serious line and wish him the best
