Well done Alec a very honest video that makes the best of your natural friendliness. As a film editor may I suggest that you use a locked off camera in future and simply remove the parts that you don't need. It's a quick and easy way to shorten your video. Plus you don't need a camera person. I'm about to dismantle mine and you've saved me a lot of time. Cheers David

May not be plaster, I have exactly the same problem caused by a product I want to warn everyone NOT to try; Vanish carpet cleaning powder. I followed the instructions to the letter when using the carpet cleaning powder but when you vacuum the dust is super fine, finer than flour and it just gets vented out through the exhaust so your whole house is covered and your vacuum motor burns out. Again,...do NOT buy Vanish carpet cleaning powder.

My understanding is that the air has been filtered, but its last act is to run across to cool the motor.?

Hi, have this similar vacuum cleaner VAX -VCP72400. would like to ask you why the turning /dial switch to Max mark-the motor run interment very slow and while turn back dial to Min the motor run faster about 7.5 Amp. when switch set to middle-there is 10Amps ,even slightly stronger suction. What is the reason affect the performance? Thanks

Could be a problem with the connection with the dial, have you tried taking the machine apart and spraying the contact with compressed air? If you’re able to do so

what type of motor is that? i need one but i cant find right one.thanks
