The USGA is a nonprofit organization that celebrates, serves and advances the game of golf. Founded in 1894, we conduct many of golf’s premier professional and amateur championships, including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open. With The R&A, we govern the sport via a global set of playing, equipment, handicapping and amateur status rules. The USGA campus in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, is home to the Association’s Research and Test Center, where science and innovation are fueling a healthy and sustainable game for the future. The campus is also home to the USGA Golf Museum, where we honor the game by curating the world’s most comprehensive archive of golf artifacts. To learn more, visit www.usga.org.

Loved this US open. Great victory by Rose on a brutally challenging old course.

Can’t believe this is Rose’s only major. Just shows how good you have to be to win 2 majors!

What is amazing about Merion is that for the 2013 US Open the course yardage was stretched to as long as it possibly could and it measured to only 6,997 yards (from 6,551 yards for the 1981 US Open) and despite this being the shortest course a US Open is played on nobody broke par. Merion is the supreme example that a course doesn’t have to be long for it to be a supreme test of golfing skilll.

Yep. Agreed. Also the course was soaking wet that week after a massive amount of rain on Sunday and Monday and then Tuesday morning but it still held up beautifully. Since the 2013 Open they have put in sub-air systems under all the greens so they will be able to keep the greens hard and fast if they were to get rain again. Great combination. I'm headed to Philadelphia to play it on Sunday. Always a special time.

That’s an interesting play with the 3-wood from the rough. Don’t see that often

Didn't realize your approach on 18 was next to the Hogan Plaque! Your Olympic Gold was great also, especially when so many were scared of going because of mosquitoes. You upheld your country!

What a f***ing guy! His performance at Medinah the year before with that putt on 17 against Phil, shutting the yanks up and the greatest sporting comeback of all time and then this stunning performance. One of the good guys of golf and life in general!

If anyone asks why the PGA Championship does not even belong with the The Open and U.S. Open its because the PGA allows a bunch of journeyman club pros in each year, denying a tour pro such as Justin an opportunity to play. In 2005, Justin was the first altenate at Baltusrol who never got to play because one club pro named Bob Ford from Oakmont took Justin"s place and shot ten over par. A total farce. Ford should have stepped away to allow Justin to play.
