Спорт
Two-time U.S. Open champion Andy North recounts his stellar performance in 1978 at Cherry Hills Country Club. Founded in 1894, we conduct many of golf’s premier professional and amateur championships, including the U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open. With The R&A, we govern the sport via a global set of playing, equipment, handicapping and amateur status rules. The USGA campus in Liberty Corner, New Jersey, is home to the Association’s Research and Test Center, where science and innovation are fueling a healthy and sustainable game for the future. The campus is also home to the USGA Golf Museum, where we honor the game by curating the world’s most comprehensive archive of golf artifacts. To learn more, visit www.usga.org.

More to come!
These videos are pure gold. Thanks.
Andy always looked like he was having a root-canal done. He was a tough hombre for sure. Felt sorry for 'ol TripleChipChen in AN's 2nd Open. Andy is quite tall and had a really elegant swing when he was on. Looked like he borrowed his putter from his kid. ;)
I remember watching this that summer .. Such a great piece and memory …
What a high quality human being……respect x
It's so cool to look back at these old videos. I guarantee you 90% of the golfers on the planet don't know that Andy won 2 us opens. Brilliant broadcaster as well. Shame he had medical issues

Andy won the Open in 1985 as T.C. Chen totally choked and gave the tournment away.

@@COLETHORN10 No, he won because he had the lowest score. No one handed it to him--he earned it. He bested the field.
Being born and raised in Wisconsin, I’ve always had great respect for Andy North, and still do!
One of the tours all time truly good guys...and one hell of a great player

BS--he beat everyone in the field. Obviously, you were never a competitor.
He smoked Nicklaus in the 3rd round. Not easy to do

Wow big deal!!!
He choked on the lob.
Andy is a total jerk who told a first time U.S. Open player that he was a loser and should'nt be playing the tournament as he was not good enough.
