Interesting take. I have a home garage gym myself and suffered a shoulder injury in my youth. I couldn’t handle doing barbell bench and switched to dumbbells. I found the hand positioning and shoulder stabilizing aspects of it eliminated the pain. Now I am looking at this multi grip barbell and thinking it mig it just be next on the list. Also, interesting take on the ares. I was going to get one, but I have found that it’s cheaper to buy second hand commercial gym equipment and set it up. Currently sporting a cybex lat pull-down and then I have a life fitness cable machine. Both of these units combined cost me the same as the ares. Also the ares, when combine with a rack, does have downsides on that it can take away your ability to do things like ISO lever arms or really using the front posts. It’s better as a stand alone unit. GHD is amazing! I can’t live without it.

Honestly, what flaws does the Ares have? I'm considering selling my Rogue rack for it.

The low row is a bit too low which makes it a little awkward to get into position at times abs you're also pulling from lower then you really should. Besides that unless you're using a 4 post I think most complaints are minimal at worst.

That's Bells of Steel rackable industrial curl bar. I never reviewed it because I haven't had luck with their Cerakote finishes.

@@GlucksGym Well, that's a review isn't it? LOL I do like the look of the bends. Many curl bars are nearly straight
