Thank you for this wonderful video. I appreciate the cat time bookends too. There are several books on your list here that I didn't know about and so am grateful to have your description of each book as well as what is inspirational to you in each book. I was able to see things with new eyes. Happy new year!

Your work is gorgeous, and these are great recommendations! It was also fun to learn about another female with the engineering/art dilemma. It's interesting that you have juxtaposed civil and botanical, which, in a sense, are almost complete opposites. [I went toward mechanical engineering and didn't yet specialize in an art genre or medium....working on getting back into art in general] On a side note, I love your hair cut! The peach fuzz length was probably my favorite length when I had mine.

Wow, they were terrific! The only botanical book I have is one called 'British Woodland Trees' by Edlin, 2nd edition 1945.

If you also like bird art, Lee, then might I suggest my current bird inspiration book? It's called "The Wall of Birds: One Planet, 243 Families, 375 Million Years" by Jane Kim with Thayer Walker. It is based on Jane Kim's work painting the wall of birds at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology over the course of a year. It's fantastic for the combo of art and ornithology. There are a few videos on KZread as well if you want to see any snapshots of the process. Cheers.

Hi! Thx for sharing...Unfortunately, some of these items are not really budget friendly..but at least one can dream ;-) I found the ASBA online and they have lots of lovely catalogues and book suggestions via Amazon on the books..I decided I would look into becoming a member, since I LOVE the art,and teaching myself to paint in w/c...! Hoping to get good enough to justify purchases by better supplies :-) Well? Cheerio from Iowa! Hope Spring is beginning to show up in your part of CA.! Going to subscribe to your channel. Love your surrounding Christmas ambience! XOs - Mindi

Oh,,and forgot to mention, the local library is practically my second home lol!!! As I am watching this video ( and going bonkers Sith desire of that Rosie Sanders bibliofeast ,) I have Sarah's Botany for the Artist in front of me on my bed!! Absolutely ADORE this book!!!!! Funny,,apparently I am basically the only artist to check this book out w once it came in almost 11 years ago!! Still looks like New, and I treat it with kid gloves! So,,I'm thinking perhaps I can persuade my Librarian friends to order the Sanders Tome and others, then I won't have to buy them..or in lieu of that,, there is always inter library loan from around the country!! Glad I though of that! Again I look forward to viewing your channel content and learning what I can!! God's Blessings and Creative Bliss To You!! Mindi :-)
