I love that you threw yellow Ledbetter in there. I just bought TMP to play rhythm guitar in a few Pearl Jam tribute shows. Any content on that would be awesome.

Rock on Damion! An Andy Timmons fan too? Now I know why I subscribed to your channel...and you have some of the best TMP videos out there.

Thank you for the kind words! Andy Timmons is the man! He’s heavily influencing my playing by making me become a more melodic player. I love his work

Damion thanks for the great videos, can you tell us again the "cuts" you use for the stock speaker cabinets and also the cuts on the IR you sponsor? Sorry I forgot!

    I use 120hz and 5.3khz on my IRs. 80hz - 8.3kHz on most amps

Hi Damion, I must confess that I get much better sounds with a Line 6 than with the TMP 😔 Especially for leads or distorted sounds. The TMP sounds less "chemical" but the distorted sounds are too messy and weak. The cleans are pretty decent IMHO.

I disagree with you on the Cleans, I believe that's what the TMP does best - at least between the NeuralDSP plugins I own and AxeFx3. The AxeFx3 does have the best dirty tones, but I am a Fender Tube Fan Boi and now bonafide Tone Master BRO hahaha.

@@damionandy I desperately tried to build a great funk tone such as in INXS "new sensation". Impossible. So no great ultra clean tones nor great metal tones. In the middle one can find interesting stuffs. For 1600€ it's not good enough according to me. I don't even use it for gigs, I must rely on my Line 6 😔

Hey mate quick question Until now I’ve used TMP with headphones, I’ve since plugged into my old behringer truth monitor speakers and found it took an enormous amount of hard cuts in global eq and a pedal eq to get even close to what I hear with headphones . And factory flat global eq almost unusable Have you found this at all ?? Cheers

This is not an issue in my rig. The only issue I've had was plugging into a cheap house PA system. it was super bottom heavy, I just had to set an aggressive high pass filter and move on. This sounds like an issue with your Behringer Truth Monitor Speakers and not the TMP, but good on you for trying to EQ it out! that's what I would've done

@@damionandy well if your output through monitor speakers is basically the same as headphones even at factory flat global eq then the issue has to be my speakers I’ll try a different set to test Thanks for the reply

keep in mind, it's not EXACTLY the same. You can't expect a 2" headphone speaker to sound the same as a 12" FRFR cab, but it's not radically different like what you're experiencing. @@QuickSticks8771

How many factory-presets are there on the TMP once you receive it? Got mine yesterday and it has 134, with FX chains next to "Woodstock Vibe", "OD on Overdrive"... Makes me unsure if someone else might have already created them - though it is not a used product (officially ;-)).

@@damionandy it all depends on what I'm playing. For worship guitar, it's very difficult to beat Deluxe Reverb, though I did have some success with Twin. For metal, the variety is there, but I wasn't able to find THE tone yet. Love your tips so far though! Keep up the excellent work!

I agree that the stock thrash (Slayer, Megadeth, early Metallica) tones are weak, but I find that you can work yourself up from that Megadeth tone.
