2023 was a strong year for TVC! A lot of “wishlist” figures were made. Hopefully 2024 is even better!

where can we see the reveals of the new TVC Figures? Is there some kind of source? Started collecting end of last year

Great list Tim! As a loose collector, here's mine- 1. Hera 2. Krrsantan 3. Pre Vizla 4. Darth Vader (DS2) 5. Paz Vizla 6. Cal Kestis 7. Cassian 8. JerJerrod 9. Grand Inquisitor 10. Sabine Sabine would be higher If not for the ridiculous helmet! Tough to rank as so many phenomenal figures this year and we were spoilt with some bangers towards the end of 2023. Cheers mate

Great list! Cal is a really good figure but again as its from a video game so it has less importance for me.

My top ten: 1. Taym Dren-garen 2. Velken Tezeri 3. Admiral Piett 4. Darth Vader (DSII) 5. Pre Vizsla 6. Tessek 7. Morgan Elsbeth 8. The Modal Nodes 9. Moff Jerjerrod 10. Bib Fortuna (Tatooine) Taym really is a magical figure. The thing I was most hoping for from ROTJ40 was something surprising, and he definitely delivered on that. He is a perfect figure and dangerously close to being my favourite of TVC 2.0, tho I think I still like ROTJ Bib Fortuna and Yakface a bit more. The other surprise was Pre Vizsla who wasn't a character I really cared about, but then I got him in hand and he was so excellent that I went back and watched his episodes and loved the figure even more and ended up getting a second one to display without the helmet. So much great stuff this year I couldn't even fit all my favourites. Compare that to last (2022) year when I struggled to pick a favourite figure because I didn't much love anything we got and 2023 is a huge improvement, and 2024 looks to be on that level!

Very hard to pose that Paz Viszla with the mini-gun though. Just the one pose with the gun pointing downward!

That Vader figure is also my #4, but there were so many amazing releases this year that I considered for a time making him my #1. To me this feels like a new character. I did get the OWK Vader but I didn't like the show so much that I just stuck it on my shelf and haven't looked at it since. Other than that, previous Vader figures have been so bad that it made me like the character less. This ROTJ Vader is so amazing that it makes me truly love the character. He finally lives up to what kid me wanted from my Vader figure. When I snapped the helmet on it was a magical moment. Maybe this is my favourite. So much good this year.

And Amazon was selling Paz Viszla for $13 around Christmas and he was a delixe figure. Thank you, Anazon!

For me, I gotta say No. 3 has gotta be Revan, just cause I really like the original Revan figure which I managed to find for a decent price a few years ago, and the novel is a good read too No. 2 is Cad Bane without a shadow of a doubt, long have we waited for a Cad and it delivered! Every detail from BOBF was there! No. 1 is Squid Head, such a cool character, and another step to completing the 96!

My top 10: 1) Fat Bib Fortuna (great use of soft goods, great articulation, great accessories, great flexible lekku, and overall a great presentation and a character I never thought we’d get. Also came with a staff that resembles the Kenner one). 2) Tessek (an OG-96er, background alien, one of my favorite Star Wars species, great reuse of parts, great use of soft goods and good sculpt) 3) Black Krrsantan (Great sculpt and articulation and great accessories. Poor head movement and poor ability to hold some of the accessories brought this down). 4) Cad Bane (Great character, bounty hunter, alien, and great sculpt and articulation. Just wish the arms could bend more than 90 degrees) 5) Grand Inquisitor (Screen-accurate sculpt, great accessories and overall excellent figure. Just not a huge fan of the character or live action look) 6) Hera Syndulla (Great sculpt and articulation. I also like Twi’leks. Just wish her lekku were more flexible) 7) Morgan Elsbeth (best use of soft goods on a figure and great sculpting and paintwork on her hair and face. Just wish she came with accessories and had a better center of gravity). 8) Darth Vader DS II (best Darth Vader action figure in my opinion and an improvement over 2022’s Dark Times Vader. We’ve just gotten this character so many times already). 9) Grand Admiral Thrawn (Great villain, great use of the Imperial officer sculpt, and overall a great figure. He’s just a “bland” figure on his own hence I did not rank him higher). 10) Luke Skywalker (Imperial light cruiser) (My favorite Luke Skywalker figure and an overall great portrait. He’s at at the bottom because we receive this character so many times, plus he lacks ball-jointed hips).

Excellent choices. But always my tops will be original trilogy and clones or stormtroopers. The new black series clones and r2 are phenomenal ❤😂

The Vader figure is the best release

If we're judging by "total package" (including the cardback and overall presentation), then that ROTJ Darth Vader is the best figure of 2023 and probably one of the best figures made in the history of Star Wars toys. Going by the figure alone, I'd have to pick Paz Vizsla. I'd still like to see him rereleased on a standard cardback with the bubble, though. They did it with the 6" Black Series Boba Fett and the Gamorrean Guard, so they can do it with TVC Paz.

How about a TOP 25 List for 2023 or over all your Collection ???

What a great list with some interesting choices, but you backed them up with very solid reasons. We really did get spoiled last year with releases which makes it very tough. Great Work Bossk!!!👍🏻

3: Rebel Commando in Biker Scout disguise. such a weird, awesome, crazy reach for a figure, so good. 2: Luke from Mando (Imperial Light Cruiser) because I got misty-eyed. And 1: ... wait for it ... LIFE DAY CHEWIE because reasons.

I only got 5 figures this year. (I wanted to get more but just had to spend where I could) 1. Grand Admiral Thrawn, he is absolutely badass. And I found him in stores which I never thought in a million years that I'd see him in stores. And I adore the new officer sculpt. I want more officers. 2. Cad Bane, I had been trying to get a Clone Wars Cad Bane figure for freaking ever and so when he showed up in Book of Boba Fett and then later was announced as a figure. I had to get him. Never saw him in stores so I just broke down and ordered him. He was worth the wait. Would've been number if it wasn't for Thrawn. 3. Paz Vizsla, I was so sad we didn't have a Paz in TVC and we finally got him (as a deluxe unfortunately) and he's a badass figure. So beefy and the weathering on his heavy gun is so good. 4 and 5 are Piett and Jerjerrod. As soon as I saw Piett at my local GameStop I knew I had to get him. And Jerjerrod sorta peg warmed but he also warmed my heart. 😂😂 I absolutely adore the new officer sculpt and just like Jerjerrod "I need more men." 😂😂😂 Other figures I really want to get from this year are Darth Revan (either release). Morgan Elsbeth The HK-87 droids Sabine Wren Director Krennic Tusken Boba and Krrsantan. Hopefully I'll come across them in my travels.

You asked to hear from us about our personal to ten lists, so here goes. Let me preface by saying I passed on a couple of notable figures that seem to be getting a lot of praise - namely, the Clone Trooper, Pre Visla, and Grand Inquisitor. And I don't yet have Darth Revan or Krennic in hand. That said, here goes: Honorable Mention - Thrawn. Yes, Piet was the OG. But Thrawn just looks way cooler. 10. Luke, Imperial Light Cruiser. The best Luke in the line so far. An that soft plastic waist-tabard thing over the top of the soft goods helps him to not look like a waiter. 9. Han Solo, Endor. I know this figure's not perfect. He should have updated hips, and his legs are too short. But the portrait looks great, and its light years ahead of any other Han Solo they've done so far. And aside from the very cool trenchcoat with the recent re-pack, I think the previous Endor Han (VC 62) takes the prize as WORST EVER TVC figure. 8. Cassian Andor (Aldhani). I know a lot of people hate this figure. I don't care that his legs are inaccurate. I love this armored officer look, I think his legs are acceptable, and the top have of the figure is amazing. I've made several customs with it by swapping heads with Rebel Hoth Troopers from the army builder pack. And I think its a much better Diego Luna likeness than the haunted, heroin-addicted looking VC261 you seem so fond of. 7. Cad Bane. For all the reasons you've already stated. 6. HK 87 Assassin Droid. I thought this figure was gonna suck, and it totally surprised me. I think it's super cool. I thought the fact that the head and the horizontal robot-Cylon eye thing were both red was pure laziness on Hasbro's part. Then I saw that the robot eye is painted a different, high gloss red, and that to me was an incredibly subtle and sweet looking detail. 5. Krrsantan. I've loved this guy since the comics, and its a great looking figure. Way more articulation than expected, and I love his electric brass knuckles. 4. Paz Visla. Great figure. 3. Sabine Wren. Her helmet is a travesty, but everything else about this figure is fantastic. 2. Hera Syndulla. So close to being number one for me. I love all the paint details on her bomber jacket. I commented on someone else's post that her face sculpt & paint was so good that she almost seems like a living mini-person. And it's also great MEW actor likeness on top of that. 1. Morgan Elsbeth. I know this is a shocker, but I freaking love this figure. I love all the overlapping diagonals of her tunic, and her skirt is the best soft goods usage ever in TVC. And her head sculpt rival's Hera's - killer hair sculpt that captures all the angles of her hairstyle but yet it still seems like it's supposed to represent hair. And an amazing DLI actor likeness that also seems slightly eerily alive. The only thing that would 've made this one better would have been accessories, like the beskar staff, or the map orb. Hit me with your thoughts & feedback, internet.

It’s got to be revan I’ve waited for a figure of revan for years that doesn’t cost 200$ I was so happily surprised when I saw him at the shops I had to grab him Hell I don’t even collect figures anymore

Great list definitely a strong year. I collect both carded and loose so cards are important to me as the figures. And I love that they made new figures, from the OT. If this was the top 11, I'd have to throw JerJerrod in there. Nice to check some 96's of the box this year. I haven't collected anything seriously since the Disney trilogy came out but that changed with the imperial officers and phase two clones, it's a good list.

2023 was a very strong year for TVC. Below are my top five 1. Paz Visla 2. Cad Bane 3. Krissantan 4. Thrawn 5. Andor I’m hoping we get even more figures from Andor, specifically Kino Loy as I NEED an Andy Serkis figure on my shelf😂

Interesting list considering the order of the items but it is understandable. My Top 5 was (and I include the cardbacks): 1. Darth Vader (Death Star II). Pretty much my childhood calling back here because Flashback Photo Vader was my first ever SW figure. THIS is the figure I wanted the most when I was 10, a complete Vader... This is it, right there! 2. Darth Revan. Moreso the history behind the release and how they finally did the character justice in some ways. Even with the restrictions in posing, I still appreciate what was done here. He now needs one specific character to join him... maybe two if SHE gets a retool. 3. Pre Vizsla. Perhaps the most fun I'd posing a SW character this year because of the accessories... outside of Vader. 4. Grand Inquisitor. The full work of the sculpt and the elegant lightsaber posing. It may not be exceptional by any means, but I value different things. 5. Cad Bane. While not much of a fan on how they executed the duster when seen from the back, the rest of him is great. He does lack the one figure that will complete the scene. Honorable mentions to General Hera, Cal Kestis and Paz Vizsla. I do believe Cal is the sleeper hit of the year when it comes to value when compared to most releases. Both Revan and DSII Vader are releases that I purchased several times to either get the ideal cardback or the best figure for display purpose and this is pushing me to prepare a Sith shelf.

Interesting list. Some interesting choices but all well explained. Definitely agree with you on Revan not being the top figure even though it seems to have the most support from the collectors who responded to your poll.

Revan is like Anakin Skywalker, the chosen one gone to dark side and came back. And the game was mynlowingly well done with the story and the fact that at the end you uncover that you were Revan without knowing it and you get back your Jedi wife making her come back from the dark side too. Is a magnificent story arc

Great list. I can’t really fault any of the picks. Paz is probably my favorite too.

Call me crazy but I really love the Cassian Andor Aldahni figure. Yeah sure it’s been pointed out that they’ve used the wrong legs etc but his head sculpt is even better than the Andor you have in your list here. It’s also a figure from a great couple of episodes in that series. I would love to see them make a couple more from these episodes, they could reuse the body and just so some new heads for some of the other rebels. Also they could do the imperial officer double agent using the new officer sculpt. Please Hasbro, please!

I am very happy with your top 10 in a way they all amazing figures at the end of the day the figures that hasbro has done is well done and you have got to give hasbro a lot of credit for amazing figures they have done for this year for 2023 anyway you have got a great top 10 list.

Fantastic! Like you said, a few surprises (Andor in, Krrsantan out, Piett, etc), but that’s what makes everyone’s list unique and intriguing. I enjoy reading through the comments too seeing what/how the community ranks. Looking forward to seeing Dooku being high on the 2024 list! Cheers everyone!

Definitely a bit of a different list to many others Ive seen but all of these figures are so good you could pretty much put them in any order and justify the decision. Piett is also high on my list. I'm not really into gaming characters either but i couldnt help but love the Darth Revan figure.

Good list, BB! I think the Pre Visla likeness is based on Favreau. Who did the voice in Clone Wars. Sort of a realistic interpretation of a Sinister Animated Favreau face!

Figure mainly, but the media they are from helps sway me. For example the Grand Inquisitor is an amazing figure, technically better than Piett. But as important for the line? Nope!

I just opened both the Revans yesterday, and I’m a little annoyed by the middle plastic skirt piece as it disrupts the articulation. I also don’t really know much about his story or that video game.

Why is Hasbro still adding the Kenner logo on the front of the card?

Because Hasbro acquired Kenner and TVC is supposed to be the continuation. So if Kenner kept the line going this is what they would be doing. Super articulated figures on card backs from all media.

The vader and inquisitor head sculpt were meh . Shoulda been more 🥚 heads . The vaz figure made me like the character more. Sabine and Krasatin were amazing. Happy new year enjoying your channel over here in New York

Dark Times Vader and the overpriced Vintage Colors Fett , … are I think I can remember buying. I bought a lot of GIJoe Classified. The Death Watch Mandalorian is an awesome figure, 🤷‍♀️ is that 23 or 22 . Too bad your overseas, I’d dump/sell all my Vintage Collection figures and vehicles crap to you

Darth Revan is more canonical to me than that cheap imitation that Disney did with Kylo Ren and his hooded masked look.

Revan is canon. He’s not just a video game character.

Yes I realise that but he hasn’t been in any show whether that be live action or animated. Those are always my priority.

Another great video. Can't say I agree with any of your picks. Actually pretty shocked with most of them. That clone trooper wouldn't be anywhere near any of my picks. He terrible. I hate the chest, it's to fat. The helmet looks terrible, they should honestly just make them without removable helmets. We all know what the clones look like. The hera figure is also a terrible figure. The paint colors are too bright and neon. Captain neda is another figure I feel could have been better. That hat looks ridiculous. It should not have been removable. The face sculpt wasn't that good either. The boba and krystannsin figure should definitely been in there. The krystannsin figure was totally a rip off. All of the " deluxe " figures are just a greasy cash grab. The andor figure I feel is really nothing special either. Not to mention the show doesn't even seem like a Star Wars show. The pre villa looks awesome 👌. Definitely have to pick him up next payday. The Mando heavy gunner is an awesome figure. Not sure if he would be my number 1. I would have to probably pick boba or krystannsin as my number 1. Anyway that's just my opinion. Keep these great videos coming buddy.
