I'm so late making this. Feel free to tell me your favorites etc. Personally I'm liking the musical direction K-pop is going in since 2020. With the retro theme melodies FINALLY came back into songs. I don't completely hate the noise trend either (a lot are bad but there are bops too), I'm also seeing a rise in rock bands *thank God* btw my most "disliked" songs are all groups I generally respect musically that were just a let down for me. Actual songs that I *hate* or are composed by noobs aren't worth tearing down and hatting on because that seems pointless.

I agree that Queendom was a little disappointing (still enjoyed it though). On the other hand, I’m not sure it’s possible to top Psycho; it’s just a flawless masterpiece.

Your choices are solid across the board :) I agree a lot with your most disappointing list. In general, the worst songs for me are the ones where it's an English phrase that doesn't sound quite right and its repeated over and over because there is no actual melody. I didn't like Queendom at first but it grew on me and Lisa's Money, I didn't like it but then I kept seeing it associated with Squid Games and I think the song pairs really well with that show.

I saw that squid gamed video too! I think and it really helped her song go viral haha the clips matched with MONEY perfectly.

If only Dreamcatcher weren't so underrated ... All their songs are soo good

Yeah butter can't be compared with the other bts songs but if we think about it like a summer song more it fits pretty well And ptd for me it was lick bts going out for the pandemic and all depression same as ytc the ending of hyyh era

This was awesome! You have great taste in music. I have a lot of songs to check out as I don’t really listen to albums and I’m more familiar with 2nd and 3rd gen groups. Also your live singing/ auto tune videos have been so informative and interesting. You really have an ear for music and production.

I hope so, too. I'm not an army, but I've always loved bts music because of the uniqueness and the concepts behind each song, and i would always be excited for their comebacks. Since Dynamite it haven't been the same... Especially rap line part, one of the most powerful parts in their songs, is vanished. Is sad how many Armys didn't want to see this until RM clarified it!

Um?? They never lost their control on writing their own music. Only BUTTER, PERMISSION TO DANCE & DYNAMITE were not written by them because it's an english song. Y'all are definitely not updated to their music that they constantly release. They've literally released a lot of self produced and composed songs in 2021.

I agreed with the disappointing list and the b-sides list the most. Though I did like savage. I think aespa’s songs and sticker by NCT have been highlights for me. The other title tracks I’ve liked have been Make it by 2pm, thunderous, eleven by ive. I liked a lot of soloist work this year: bibi’s whole album was amazing, lee hi, waterfall by b.i, watercolor by wheein. I don’t really include Epik high in kpop but Rosario, Epik high is here the whole album, and Face ID are 💯

I cannot with Lisa's singles, because the lyrics are something I would expect out of the mouth of a black woman from the US hood, which she clearly isn't. It sounds very CA-y. She's my fave from BP, I really wanted to like her solos, but the choreo is meh, she does not shine in them once (Kahi did her Lalisa choreo so much better than Lisa ever did, even though I know Lisa can nail it, too!!), and the lyrics...

I agree w all of these besides Savage. I love everglow but Pirate was kinda boring and not memorable really, but the mv was great. Money is also catchy to me, but for a mostly-rap song the lyrics didn’t seem to have much attention given to them. Unfortunately a lot of the lyrics aren’t things that native English-speaking rappers would really say :( Paint The Town also had a good mv and I love the bridge, but for such an epic and aggressive song concept, the vocals are quite quiet. I would’ve preferred if the singing was more like Kill This Love with its volume and strength.

I don't care what anyone says Butter is one of my favorite bts songs, I love watching them perform it and just how happy it makes me, I get that it's not the usual bts style but I live

This is my opinion but redvelvet is different from others in the aspect that queendom was there way of release the music for them if you put everything aside and just listen to it the song had everything plus all the b sides on queendom album are no skips. Rather then going for the trend they went and had different aproch plus psycho was too good that is the reason people did not like it at 1st but i saw later on it was all over Twitter and KZread that song really lifts up your mood(my opinion)
