The flower dpi and the words well and haven and ten must be changed - flower / nature related terms / names / dpi etc cannot be misused by humnz!

Someone listing a person’s house as a “tourist attraction” adds to the already widely available abundance of evidence that there are some strange people that lurk around on the internet. Glad to hear that Google removed it and I really hope that you’ve been staying safe! Best wishes dude!

Love the latest update! 😀 Don't love that some creeper listed your home on Google maps. 😒 Your old school solution is extremely effective, very much like. 👍 I get your reluctance to install a camera, but encouraging you to reconsider. you can always adjust the settings so that they don't film 24/7, or point them away from the sidewalk and toward your door. I don't wanna mom you, here, but I'm now kinda worried about you, and if maybe you could do it for me as a mom who is not your mom but feeling mom worry, nonetheless, I'd appreciate it. 📷 seriously, please for real reconsider this. 🐻

We've got several strategically-placed baseball bats as well. Swing, batter, batter, swing. :) The water alarms are a great investment. We have them next to our sump pumps as well. Already paid for itself. Great tips!

Hey George, bit late on this so I apologize, but as a side note, if you want those nifty new speakers to sound better, go pick up some foam isolation pads for them, as crazy as it sounds, without them your speakers will vibrate the desktop and cause it to resonate and sound worse than it actually is, the foam/rubber pad prevents it and will richen the sound quite substantially. Cheers on the beautiful home!

I admire your uninvited-guest club. I have a 3-wood from an old golf club set. I live in a carriage unit in a condo, it's built above the garages. I've always said that if anyone breaks in, I'll get them coming up the stairs. I think your home is lovely! It has an air of comfort. I'm sure you have the smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher, but you might consider an escape ladder for your second floor... Yeah, I've always figured I'd jump out the window and land on my neighbor's car. I've never told any of them that plan...

Love the water sensor. The TV looks fine. I do prefer them hanging on the wall with the wires in the wall but I believe that may not be an option for you. Your voice over is wonderful….

thank you!! and I don't know why but I just don't like wall mounted tvs. it's a personal preference that seems to put me in a minority ha. I'll maybe try it eventually/with my next place.

having you on the map would make it easier for DoorDash...LOL but it's scary how many people are so free with their personal information... and I have a swinger also..🤣.... you mentioned about your tv wall, possibly mount the tv to the wall and a little higher... maybe as much as your neck will allow for gaming and movies, then a larger cabinet can go beneath it for storage for electronics, games or even overflow of dry goods. You're place is looking great!

You might consider doing what we did: mounted our TV to a wall that we first covered with floor to ceiling black curtains. The wires for the TV and the sound system run behind the curtain. We have lights on each side of the TV, so it can look kinda like an old fashioned movie theater. I’d post a pic if I knew how to do that here. Anyway, I think it’d work really well at your place. ☺️👍🌞

As far as new devices maybe consider a google home mini or similar device to put on your small dinner table. That way you won't even need to use your phone to control your smart appliances/play music. Also a "Ring" smart doorbell only shows a video when someone rings the bell so you dont have to worry about it recording your neighbors

Very enlightening video, thank you for sharing your current setup with us. By the way, that hill looks to be a fantastic candidate for a reforestation, please do consider to create some seed bombs for that purpose. KZread has a plethora of similar methods for that.

For that wall, get a floating TV stand, something bright, box out the wall by 6 inches, and frame built in shelves and the TV as the centre piece within the shelves and walls, add glass mirror along with oak and balck trims where it looks nice, and an easy long fire strip along the bottom

I feel the same as you do about the camera's but I am old lady and don't want to open my door without knowing who exactly is outside ;) On that note the ring camera works very well that way. It some times pick up critters lol But that is fun! I like the lighting you have put in, the colors are so pretty!

George, this was such good fun whilst also being practical. Actually some interesting gadgets and ones that solve issues I currently have so will check them out. Your humour is spot on.

These are cools gadgets specially the water leak alarm!

That boiler!!!!!!!!!!! Mind. Blown. I have a boiler the a very inconvenient place. If it was like that it would be no where near as bad.

Looks like mould growing on the sink sealant I was recommended to use Forever White Sealant will remain white as possible.

Hi George. I watched your renovation / home building video previously and must admit that I googled to find out where it was (I can't even remember now), but it was because I am from Inverness and wondered if the village was somewhere near there (I'm in Glasgow now). I can't believe someone advertised your home location, that's so rude, glad you got it removed. It's great watching a video from someone Scottish and not hearing a generic Glasgow / west coast accent too. You pronounce "metre" like I do, my wife takes the mick out of my accent sometimes! Keep the videos coming, good luck. Steve

Here are some smart upgrades that I though about 1) 3d printed stand for installing a camera facing downwards from the top of your door, that way you can film people at your doorstep but not at the distance 2) replace your bat, with a smart bat - You can get them at your local gun store, theyre made of metal, you can put different type of shells on them, and they can provide wireless damage to any intruder, the model that I would recommend is the Remington 870. a regular bat might work with some intruders, but if you encounter an intruder that is 6'4" and weighs 250 pounds, a bat is just going to make them angrier and more deranged. 3) indoor cameras 4) a solar LED fog light for the front of your house 5) a smart door lock that uses a password or biometrics. its underrated how great it is to open your home without having to take your keys out of your pocket.

it's a good idea to get a couple of safety measures set up!

The device “Addalock” is another low tech device to have specially when you travel. I live near Seattle Washington Downtown mixed suburbs and Condominiums and I still add this to my main door. I also have a cheap motion detection with door bell sound , and a Ring camera that starts recording on motion into your cloud account. A “bat” is handy but patchy with a bat is not really scary . Remember when someone crosses a line a level of intent is already elevated. I do not know if you can purchase a pepper spray in your country , but you should have that as well. Believe me I was dumb enough to accidentally whip the mist off those and I swear I would not want to deploy a spray on anyone it’s just totally horrible. No one wants to be in a somewhat 2% paranoia state , but times have change extra safety isn’t just seatbelts and vitamins anymore. Cyber trolls are in force and troll scouts just pick up the scent. Oh well take care.🙋🏻‍♂️

oh cool I'd never heard of the addalock before but that looks cool/useful. I'm pretty sure pepper spray and anything like it is illegal here. although, I seem to recall there being some kind of "blue dye" spray which you can spray on an attacker/thief and they can't wash it off for several weeks.

That scrubber in the end killed me 🤣, silly me has been using old tooth brushes my whole life…

2:00 there is an electronic gadget available (I have seen it in action on KZread, I don't know it's name, where it's sold or how it connects) that changes the colour of your LEDs to match the screen colour to accentuate the mood of whatever you are watching. Being a tech person, I have no doubt you would be able to find it.

My grandchildren have the colour of your hair George. I prayed for beautiful red and got my prayer answered. I love what you have done. That water alarm is great. Gas Central heating is wonderful. I love your speakers..i got one Bose speaker that blutooths off my phone and is a gorgeous sound...only one small tiny bose is needed and you can take it outside on picnics its so little...with a huge sound...connects to my mobile internet so can play off utube ipad or samsung phone as long as you have blutooth pairing

@@Patchy IKEA has some good deals on plants (although I'm not good with the Swedish plant names 😅) also wild ivy is great to have dangling down from places and is easy to propagate from cutting outside, so is bamboo which grows really quick and gets massive

You should go for a Philips Ambilight TV. It has built-in LEDs to illuminate the background wall. Philips is much better than LG, I guess.
