😂 I was thinking the same ! It would NOT have been good. I'm a bit surprised that canned palm hearts and artichokes are not easily available in Germany. I'm from Switzerland and live in France and you'll find both in all supermarkets in both countries I particularly enjoy a palm heart and tuna salad for a quick lunch. For the onion pasta (which looks delicious), I was thinking that one could probably find frozen sliced onions in supermarkets (well, in France anyway, not sure about other countries) which would save a lot of work and crying. Great recipes, thanks Naomi ! And wonderful make up of course, et j'ai adoré ton béret ❤

Freeze your onions the night before and thaw a few hours before you cook. The water makes them soft and can actually speed up the caramelization process! I make a lot for our food trucks. This method is a time savor

Might I make a suggestion: if you really love the French onion soup pasta and don't want to wait for the onions to caramelize, I would make a huge batch of them. Spend a few hours, yes, a few hours, and really cook down the onions until they are a jammy consistency. You can then add those to your pasta, and you don't have to wait every time for them to cook down. That is what I would do. Make a huge batch at the beginning of the week and then add them when I want. Plus you will have this delicious onion jam you can put on other things like toast.

Yes! You can freeze the caramelized onions, too, in small amounts that you can just grab from the freezer and toss into whatever dish you're making🤗

Brown sugar in America is not the same as the brown sugar you buy in Germany! You can make American brown sugar by mixing one tablespoon of Goldsadt into one cup of white sugar:) it is like a sticky sugar and I use it for baking! My German family always asks me what my secret ingredient is and that is it!

I've definitely seen brown sugar that is sticky in Germany too. It's widely available. There's just two kinds of it

In Brazil we have a lot of "palmito", which is hearts of palm. I'm always amazed at how we have so much variety of foods and vegetables that are different from the rest of the world and I always love seeing you try new things. and that reminds me that: I NEED TO SEE YOU TRYING ONLY BRAZILIAN FOOD IN A VIDEO!

I think that the whole thing it's called palmito, that's the only way people calls it in Chile and also on wikipedia, palmitos are the entire thing, not just the heart

I also have a stye now and I use warm compress. It really helps!

If you ever make the french onion soup pasta again, or something else that requires caramelized onions, do like 4 times the amount you actually need and then freeze the extras in ziplock bags. They'll be good in the freeze for like 3 months, and if you use a bigger pan it won't take much longer, even with the larger amount :)

My gripe with the first one, the cheese toast, is that the underside isn't toasted all, its floppy & just as white as when you popped them in there. I think a light toasting of the bread as a first step would be good if anyone tries this!!✨

Those artichokes MUST have not been processed the BEST way, because artichokes are good! My mom cooked raw artichokes. I only ever had them like that. (The leafs are eaten by dipping them in a nice sauce (my mom made a balsamic dressing) and then kind of sliding the ‘meat’/thick part off with your teeth.. if that makes sense xD)

Hearts of palm are very very popular in Brazil :) we love eating it raw in salads or so and also make stuffing with it together with tomatoes, onion to fill pot pies and other kinds of things! It's a treat! 😍
