Thanks for the video, it is quite helpful! I have old Honda Transalp 650, it's my first bike, but I want something a bit more powerful and new so I don't mind too much the maintenance! Also having ABS, Cruise control, quick shifter would be awesome!

Watch out with that tank ring, I put one on my GS and when I took it off about a year later it had scuffed up the paint around the filler ring underneath it, I should have put some rubber under it. What is this lowering link you speak of and where can you get it? Is it an AliExpress job and roughly how much does it lower the bike by? You're right about the fuelling, it's terrible at low revs. The worst thing I've found is that when you're on the over-run slowing down, you're just about to come to a stop or slowly enter a T-junction it will out of the blue blip the throttle, scares you to death and is most unwelcome.

  • @ivanrushtonthelonewolfrides

@@mickemmett6828 At some point they will sort the fuelling they’ve already done an update on the tftetc onthe explore and now you can change modes on the move The link lowers it a full 20 mm maybe a bit more. I believe it is actually a KTM part and it has tone fitted by the dealer as the spring has to be compressed. I got mine supplied and installed for £70 but that was a special deal when I ordered the bike. I belief dealers are now charging about £120. It doesn’t affect the handling at all but it does give us with short legs more confidence when we stop. Don’t try a lower seat as I said way to hard

The surprise was that the exhaust has not serial number on it, nothing, so the guys couldn't omologate it without a reference to put it on paper. Thank you for your reply and advice. Yes I am now subscribed and have been catching up with your back catalogue of videos. I have a BMW GS 1200 and after watching your reviews I am seriously thinking of getting the CF Moto 800. As previously described I cannot find one to test ride although I am test riding a CF Moto 800 NK next week as they have the same engine so should give me an indication on how the 800MT performs. As a previous GS rider are you happy you made the switch or would you go back to your GS if you had a chance. I have been offered the 800 Sport MT for £6700 and I may be able to put my Kappa luggage from my GS onto the 800 Sport MT as long as I buy the brackets approx £200. So in total the bike would cost about 7K. This is about 5k cheaper than the Explorer edition which you have. I don’t ride off road so thinking the road biased edition may be better value. What are your thoughts now that you have the Explorer edition. Is it worth 5K over the sport edition. Thanks Mike

@@Jedward7009 hi Mike. Firstly I truly loved my GS 1250 it was the ultimate bike but there comes a time when you have to count the pennies. Like in the video I just couldn’t afford the new 1300 or I’m sure I would have had one. After trying several other bikes I settled on the Explore. It’s a lovely bike not a GS but ain’t far off. I had the Explore because I love the electronics it has Apple car play etc and you can switch off the ABS and Traction Control. Ideal when uiu go slightly off road which I do on occasions. The sport for road use is great and too value. Exactly the same engine suspension etc and Road based tyres. If you don’t use an iPhone for your sat Mav I’d go for that one. You can always get a chigee type unit and bracket to fit above the tft for your navigation. I needed a bike that would cost me what I could afford and to keep it 3 years by then I will be 74’and May one a really light bike or may not even be able to ride god forbid. They have a snatchy throttle but in time that will get sorted Hope that helps you
