I totally agree with you. I bought this flux first (before the paste flux) and couldn't really figure out how to use it properly. The paste flux just works perfectly every time, whereas with My Tflux has not enough substance in my opinion. Love your dark hair btw!

I use it just like and often instead of, Pripps or the denatured alcohol/boric acid combo for metal protection. And as you do, I find that the paste flux is WAY better for smooth solder flow. You hit on the great points very well, thanks for your loving care of your fans!

Thanks, I have a bottle of this I bought a few years ago. I tried using it then and hated it. I was not heating my piece first so that was probably the problem. I am going to give it another try. Thanks for the great video.

I could see that this product could help with intricate pieces with hard to reach areas... Filigree or anything really creative with layers of work..Nice video

My T Flux is a good product if you use it properly. I still just mix up Pripps flux for a barrier flux. Lasts through very high heat. Love your vids :-)

Mich, do you think it actually burns OFF, or does it just kinda go clear? I have heard both but it does LOOK like it "burns away" as you say. I have also found that sometimes I have had to apply again and within one soldering operation (I use them together: Coat for protection, then add paste to my join area and go... especially if it's a fairly large or complicated one (lotsa places to join), do you experience that too? AND(!!!) it does gunk up your brick- dang! Although I do have good results from sanding my charcoal block with 80 grit to make it clean and smooth again. Wonderful review!

+Gabby Flying Chef Hey Gabby I use the term burning off but I can't be certain if it goes clear I just know it protects. Either way essentially it burns off the white coating. Yes I usually have to clean my charcoal once a week from the flux overspray. Glad you enjoyed xoxo!

+Frank LaBrake Hey Frank I have a syringe of medium solder paste don't love it too much also don't use it too often find it to be a bit messy. I don't know if I gave it a fair try though. I prefer sheet solder.

+meshedesigns I ordered some paste this week to try after I "fried" a bezel and backplate (lost my focus and had too much heat on the piece - haha). Stay safe in this storm - I'm near Nyack, NY and getting lots of snow - weather map shows us for 18-24" and you Islanders are 24-30"!!! Yikes!!

10 grams of silver to 5 grams of brass and you can make your own solder.
