what's interesting about the price is remember what milk and eggs were 5 years ago? to not think the crazy inflation was going to impact the price is funny.

😢 2025 release … damn shame

The range extender takes up one third of the bed and will probably be around 50 kWh and weigh hundreds of pounds. 700 lbs? Unless you have a crane or a forklift that is not a DIY operation. Also you may have to mess around with high voltage cables and cooling lines. I wonder if there is a hidden jack somewhere? That will be interesting to see!

So I called Tesla about my Cyber truck order to upgrade to a duel motor. They told me that I can change it when it becomes my turn. I asked about how long could that be since I ordered early when it was first announced. I was told that they are not delivering according to the order number. Tesla has decided to order by location and Texas and California were going to be the first to get the Cyber trucks. So I guess we should take up residency in Texas. Also, Florida could expect delivery in 1 to 2 years.

I'm noticing the factory floor was not actually producing trucks, but rather demonstrating how they are produced. Very odd for a company trying to meet initial demand. And no spare? I guess those of us using the truck for work will have to get the optional metallic vacuum sweeper attachment, to avoid all the nails and screws???

Truly american indeed because this car does not meet safety requirements for many other countries. I, from europe are not allowed to own a cybertruck for example. And i'm actually glad that this rolling coffin won't be a thing here tbh. Made in the US is still a laughable label. Except for guns. Cuz you know how to spread lead filled freedom.

I'm wondering how the doors open without a door handle! And if those headlights work well enough for how small they are. Seems like Tesla is pulling off the production of the stainless steel, flat panels, which people were saying earlier would be really tough to accomplish well.

The doors pop open by an actuator that is said to also open with an inch of ice on the door. You can open the doors either thru the app or press the buttons on the B and C pillars.

@@solo111111111 my 2014 honda crv can tow better than this trash even tho my towing capacity is supposedly only 1,500 lbs the cybertruck would still get less range towing same 1,500 lb load lol plus you cannot put a bed toolbox in it due to bed design or side load with skid steers/tractors due to odd shape also, it's just a useless toy for rich yuppies not a truck work mans truck total piece of crap.

Pretty simple. It was way underpriced. Probably still is underpriced.

Definitely smaller:/ I got rid of myf250 (ford) because of the prototype and have lost 39 grand in his change of prices and now he want me to spend 20 k more. Thats 50k lost on a truck. Heck no. If I were to get the beast I’m not getting it now.

After it took four years for the DeLorean to come out and the offering price from start to launch went up to cover the upgrades needed to produce only makes sense. Also, it will sink in the driveway. We have two PHEV'S, and the asphalt has the imprints of the tires in our driveway. Well imprints might be too strong a word, sorry I can't think of a better one. One thing I really like about PHEV's are the regenerative breaking and whenever we are stuck in traffic, we dont burn as much gaz, all the superfluous energy is stored in the battery.
