Its really just for CDR, gp got his barrels nerfed like 3 times fairly recently and if you are going crit build, barrels are ur best form of dmg, If you went IE, your would have more dmg but it unforgiving af, you usually need 2 barrels to combo and 1 barrel is like 18s CD so you can only go for hits every 36s, which is pretty bad when you miss

IE only boosts parley crit, navori boosts barrel, parley (even when no crit), passive, and ult. Barrel also gives cdr which is very important on GP. Just some simple maths. Parley already crits normally for 175% damage, IE adds 35% for 210%. 210% / 175% = 1.2 which means a 20% boost to overall parley damage. Navori at 100% crit adds 20% ability damage to all abilities, even his true damage passive. This is also why a triple reset passive hits so fucking hard with navori, especially against champions like belveth who have DR which does not work on true damage. That means parley already gets same boost from navori and IE, but navori also applies to every other ability while IE only has the advantage of autos. Also, navori mechanic actually counts your autos on barrels for lowering CD, assuming they are crits (internally).
