After my wife passed away, my little Joy is my cuddle bunny and when I come home after working overnight, she greets me and then waits patiently for me to go to bed so that she can cuddle with me. I love her presence and her being part of my life. I've recently learned that when I tell her I love her, she slowly blinks at me. I love that as well. Cats are more than we give them credit for.

The slow blink is your best way of conveying trust to a cat. Just look to the side a bit so it's not mistaken for hostility and you'll see her do the same thing back It's a "smile" that signals relaxation in your presence. Cats have a unique communication system and sense of your emotions. My late cat once went to a sickly elderly neighbou's apartment and refused to budge when I went to fetch her. She was there to sit vigil until she got better. Your little sweetheart knows you need her.. They're considered aloof animals, but my own experiences have been totally different. I hope you will have many years of comfort and joy from beloved kitty.

She sounds exactly like a kitty we had growing up! Same rrrrrwowww sound in the same tone. What a sweet girl.

Cats do have a sense of time and they will let you know when you are running late. My calico is very time oriented. Time for food. Time for fun. Time for relaxation and time for sleep. It seems adorable Nymeria operates on the same level. I have no doubt she lives her mom and dad and siblings and keeps them in line as well.
