My Shooting Workout... (1,000 shots)

Try to shoot more than 500 shots and if you can push to 1,000, DO IT!...
Right now I'm personally trying to make it in to the gym with MINIMAL pressure to hit certain numerical goals because of my time strain. I'd love to put up 3,000 shots but frankly, I can't. You just have to be self aware and as long as you get to the gym, it should be considered a plus for you!
🔥🔥
If you're seeing this and need the extra motivation, THIS is your sign to start tomorrow. SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME IT'S OKAY TO WAKE UP ONE DAY AND CHANGE YOUR LIFE!!!! You have to start somewhere. ❤️

I wont tell my whole life story but i tore both of my ACLs playing basketball the past 3 years doing KZread basketball and it gave me a HUGE mental setback to the point where i even uttered the words “i don’t think i want to be around basketball anymore” i was going to delete my channel and all but this here motivated me to give it one more shot giving my recovery and comeback a full 1,000%. So wherever this may take me, thank you friga 🤝🏾

When you’re pulling from the elbow take one hard dribble and make sure your feet stay square. You are leaning forward and sailing forward like for a floater. Before you pull on that elbow lean back a little bit into it then explode straight up as quickly as possible. If anything watch the greatest pull up jumper of all time named Mark Price. Keep up the good work and remember most of your shot is your footwork especially when it come to midrange and quick stop on a dime pull-ups. That’s all before you even get off the floor.

I curious to why don't shoot and only count makes? I get the whole part of working on moving on to the next play etc. and that makes a lot of sense. Personally I always make drills counting makes. I feel like the challenge of staying consistent in my mechanics is a crazy good mental battle. I might make 10-15 in a row and then go and miss 5-10-15 shots. Then I need to get my head straight, recognise what I'm doing differently and correct it, while I still put up shots. That mental battle in-between hot streaks and going cold, has made me a way better shooter than I've ever been. I'm consistent, confident and know exactly what I'm doing right and wrong when I shoot. And that's all from mechanics, foot work, breathing, tempo, angles. I don't play in any league or anything, I just hoop with my team. But me getting 100-150 makes before we start playing, makes those 20-30 shots I take during our practice way easier and consistent. Imagine you play pro or something and lets say you get 10 shots pr game, that's 150 amount of shots during the season if you play 15 games. (just an example) If you during the off season and during season have a habit of counting makes. And you are making 500-1000 shots a day. That shit adds up. And then suddenly the 150 shots you have during a season is pretty consistent. Because you've made 10x the amount of shot that you'll take in a game. These drills etc always has to be game speed and you do not need to rush through. Good pace and attention to the details are key. I asked purely out of curiosity and interest. Keep shooting and hooping. Shooting is pure therapy for me ❤
