Hi I enjoy your content. This is a great time for you and your family to enjoy Spain. My dad worked as a civilian in accounting for the Navy and moved the family to Spain in 1963 (we lived off base in Valdelagrana). We stayed for three (3) years and vacationed all over Spain. We pcs there in 2015. Lived in Chipiona for 2 years. Moved on base on Pontavedra up from self help. Landlords hit us with higher rent after our first year… housing folks and the landlords talk to eachother… had to get lots of step down transformers, but it was worth immersing ourselves off base to have the best experience living abroad instead of living under a rock on base… and having…. Um…. La Plaza…. 😂

Hello, it took one month for us to get our house on base. At the time this was the only one they had to offer us. It just depends on availability. Hope that helps!
