I have my firestick in my tv and I turned on a movie with atmos and it worked for me , and the dts x even worked with the rear speakers attached

what about surrund sound 5.1 from netflix that is not atmos ? the rear speakers also silence so its must to be just atmos contents to get the surrund to work ? what about music from youtube u get sound just from the main bar but not from rear ?

This system is really make me feel like in the cinema... But the user needs to understand how to setup it.

Makes you wonder why the subwoofer has to be so large if the bass is so heavy. I mean most folks interested in this are interested for its convenient wireless setup, but small profile definitely would be nice for that sub. Did you have any update on the rear speaker lack of sound without atmos signal? Just others say they have sound. Its a bit of a deal breaker if those rear speakers are 90% of the time pointless.

@@SirPierreSe ahhh thank you for the follow up. Great to see such a committed channel. Keep up the great work. I'm still a bit on the fence because since I saw this this video I heard LG are bringing a SC9 bar. Since Ive got LG C2 tele I think I might be better off trying to match my tech. Because of the LG wow orchestra (their answer to q symphony by samsung). Another thing thats intriguing me is their smart up mixer taking 2 channel to multi channel. So good to hear about the JBL imitating surround to a degree.

@@SirPierreSe possibly more expensive they havent release the prices yet for the SE6 and SC9. And JBL will probably have dropped in price a bit. Its just I heard a lot of reviews of LG soundbars with up firing atmos (from their last generation of sound bars)... and the reviews were basically saying they are very good but sort of a better option would be samsung with q symphony. So it looks like LG are replicating that given their last bars were sort of coming second to the samsung bars for that reason. Still need to see a proper review on the SC9 before I commit because so far its just first looks from CES.

Well JBL have really stepped up from Being priceworthy to impressive. I also have a LG C TV so for just that reason I wanted a LG soundbar, but here in Sweden they cost the double of the JBL, and when I listened to it in the store I wasn't impressed at all. Yes you should never go after just listening to something in a large store, but still, and I was super happy with my old JBL soundbar så this was a clear choice for me

hello, i want to buy this soundbar but as you said "you can't fake surround speaker" that is huge downside for me, because im watching non dolby atmos movie so often ... soo idk maybe i go with samsung.

This is very strange. In my set (JBL BAR 1000) it works so that if I have, for example, a stereo signal, all speakers work, only the voice / dialogue is also in all. However, if I have a 5.1 signal, dolby surround, or atmos, or dts. Then it is completely correct and then Voice/dialogue comes only from the center speaker. However, the sound, of course, can be heard from all speakers.

They had the same problems with the JBL 9.1 sound bar rear speakers go dead to fast and lose signal while watching a move all the time, sounds like they haven’t fixed the problem any with the newer system

I hear from users with the jbl 9.1 system that each time they watch a movie in surround sound the rest channel speakers loss connection during movie and have to reconnect them and battery life is really bad too, nothing like they say.

@@jaspercats Yes i learned something new today, about the battery, i thought 10 hours was 10 hours of playtime. I went to bed. watched TV for 1 hour maybe, today when i got back home the rear speakers was out of battery. and have not been used, and that smalll LED light to show that they have power cant kill them for just that in those 10 hours.

I had the Samsung. I send it back since the sub was not good and the sound was flat. It was worse than my old Harman AVR with SB10. Maybe I was unlucky and got a bad product but tbh the sound was underwhelming. Should I give the bar 1000 a chance or should I stick with AVR?
