When all is said and done, people just need to realize that all these baits are simply tools we have to fall back on. Being brand loyal to one specific company will only hurt yourself if you are a tournament angler. Ask any pro. Sure they are sponsored and those are the baits they talk about but its the baits they buy and have found, Custom baits especially, that they will not talk about. It is no different than someone using a lowes or walmart home brand too vs say a Dewalt or Milwaukee. Its all in when and where you use the tool. Most baits cant be patented so even if they do copy each other, thats sadly the industry we are in. No body said it was right but it is the truth. I wish we could put more towards growing the sport in a positive way rather than dividing it even further

This dude tried to go pro, failed miserably, makes horrible baits and has to trash the guy living out his dreams of making it to the top level to feel better about himself. It’s pretty comedic.

“Influencers” are quickly becoming whiny babies and the Fishing KZreadr trend is on a downwards slope. The reason they have reduced the pro staff is they really aren’t worth the cost. Exceptions being Chris Zaldain. He has a huge social presence and he knows swimbaits backwards and forwards.

My success fishing tournaments has little to no impact on m career as a whole. Tournament fishing doesn't move the needle like everyone thinks. It makes up 5% of the total sales in this industry. Now go back to the drawing boars with that figure in mind.

I'm a fan of the both of you. Good to know that the both of you were using the same factory. In regards to the hangover bait, it needs to be reeled at a specific speed for it to swing right - as with many baits. Simply moving it back in forth in a bathtub will not show how it swims when reeled properly.

It's a copout excuse for a bait not performing right, the real reason is the bait needs belly weighting to counteract the weight of the treble hook up top. It's the top heaviness caused by the treble that makes it what to roll, it's not a unique flaw of this bait.

@@Drezzy2 yes, I have watched it and it's still just an excuse for poor lure design. Had it had the correct belly weight to counteract the top heavy nature of putting a treble hook on top, that wouldn't happen and you wouldn't need to retrieve at a specific speed. I know this from experience, not just believing what someone who has something to gain from selling you the lures says. Just look at all the top hook swimbaits out there that don't need a specific retrieve speed, that's because they're correctly weighted. Stick a sufficient treble on the underside where it has an attachment to do so and I can almost guarantee that need for a specific retrieve disappears.

Who designed the meggabass magdraft you said in your podcast you all know who did ? Thanks 👍

When I first got into bass fishing, I thought Googan and 6th were awesome. 6th had the upper hand to me based on how they looked and Googan looked like preschooler toys as I got more familiar with baits. JDM is the absolute best by far! It’s not even close and both 6th and Googan are garbo

I feel like you've said these things a million times. I've enjoyed watching the Googan brand grow and all the success you guys have enjoyed. Keep doing what you do.

Love them loaded swim baits Chris designed. Good job! BTW speaking of pros did I see Dustin Connell sporting a different brand other than Googan? Did he leave Googan?

Yep and YakPak just made a video announcing his departure yesterday too!

All of them are designed almost the same. It either works or doesn't. The only real difference is usually where the weight in the bait is whether it's got ball bearings in it or not and the size of the ball bearings along with the material it was made out of so if it floats or not and how far it sinks. Outside that the only other difference is the paint job

I have a handful of micro bangers that earned a spot in the rebel box, work pretty well, good baits.

I’ll tell you one thing though that movement 80 week is a bass catching lure I’ve caught a bunch of them this summer

Great video. Took what I already knew and made me even more aware. I plan to tune in for the fun.

Never considered googan lures. The corky names and over the top colors/designs dont appeal to me. After this video i think i will steer cleer forever. Terrible business video.

Chris is a good dude and I do use a lot of both Googan and 6th sense. This seems like a kick in the teeth because us avg joes are abt tired of the BS. We all know everyone copies everyone. But this seems directed to another company. Just say it !!!! And Chris I think you’re a good dude and this is a bad look in my view for your personal branding.

Kind of my same thoughts concerning Chris. I hope he doesn’t get screwed by this Rob fella. I watched his interview with Chris and he seems a little self absorbed. Strikes me as someone that would use you up and kick you to the curb once he’s done with you. Just my opinion of what I’ve seen of him.

A few years back I bought a ton of hard baits and got a couple soft baits as I already use a specific soft bait brand. Hard baits all worked amazing. Soft plastics I wasn’t a fan. Broke quicker than my favorite brand. I also have single hook line throughs.

That fact im not subbed means you needed these clix

I don't buy over priced lures. From any company.

Just saying 6th sense is overpriced but u buy in bulk during a holiday you'll be set for a few years run ya a bit of money but as long as your smart you basically get a ton of free lures

I’m still rocking grandads lazy Ike’s and crap… still work! I thought spending 30$ for a big old musky bait was crazy. I still rock a giant 12” sucker minnow on a hook with good results.
