I just took out my Senegalese twists. I’m relaxed and never had any type of braids/extensions in my hair. A lot of my hair came out too after removing the twists and washing my hair…it was so tangled and I was so mad because I I thought my hair was in a “protective” style. Only had the twists in for 5 wks. I don’t think it’s good to get braids when your hair is relaxed, because of the processing the hair is more fragile and breaks easier.

When I served the Military, I would have my hair relaxed. It helped maintain a certain style while in uniform. That was 2018. Moving forward I stopped relaxing my hair then till now and went natural. Reason being is relaxers (chemicals) can have a long term effects to the Human Brain (Neurological Deficit). You don’t want that. Be Kind to your Brain, since it’s known as The CEO of the Human Body. Just like our gut is Our 2nd Brain. Feed it right.
You’re beautiful, but please stop relaxing your hair, it’s not good for your hair or body! Do your own research on relaxer’s and how they can be to cause of cancer!

Everything cause cancer. Smoking drinking, fast food, soda, using cleaning products no gloves, pollution! Sex etc. Etc...relaxer is the least of worries.
The bad ends "prompted" you to relax your hair? Relaxers destroy the hair bonds and raise the cuticle layer PERMANENTLY. Just because you can grow long hair doesn't mean it's healthy. Relaxed hair is unhealthy hair so I don't understand the surprise when your hair starts showing you.

Umm relaxed hair is not “unhealthy” hair what are you talking about. Yes your hair can become unhealthy easier with relaxers if you’re not careful, but relaxed hair doesn’t automatically equal unhealthy hair. Just like natural hair doesn’t automatically equal healthy hair.
need another 3-4 off
I wouldn't have relaxed!! But you do you!🤷🏾♀️
I've never even worn extensions but I thought most of us knew that you can't get your hair braided with relaxers

I wouldn't say can't... I know a lot of ladies who get braids and their hair doesn't react badly. I've had braids before and didn't get a bad reaction... Depends on so many factors.

@@DenaJ oh my old stylist told me my hair would break if I did braids after getting a relaxer
It’s probably because you keep relaxing it, if it was natural would’ve been fine
No to relaxers
You and your hair are beautiful, but relaxers have been found to be linked to uterine cancer and fibroids in black women. Not worth it!
