Kahn is the greatest of all time, why you acting like its an insult?! Him and Yashin are the only goalkeepers who actually carried teams to trophies as the best player on their teams. Neuer is probably the most influential goalkeeper ever, but like other greats like Buffon, Casillas, Zoff, etc. played in exceptional teams when he won trophies. For most of Ronaldo’s career he has always been a winger/inverted forward and his early years at Manchester United he was a wide midfielder on the right side in a 4-4-2 formation where back then the four in midfield were all midfielders and 2 of those midfielders were out wide and their main job was to run down the wings, create spaces and deliver crosses in the box for the strikers. A lot of people deny the fact that Ronaldo was a midfielder in his early years at Manchester United but if you understand football and the use of 4-4-2 formation back then you would easily know that those 4 in the middle are all midfielders.

Personally, Neuer impressed me the most when I watched him play, but Buffon deserves that GK spot because Buffon made incredible saves during the times of Ronaldinho and Zidane (keep in mind Buffon was 28 when he won the WC, he was already a professional for quite some time) and then he does it against the newer generation of football too with the likes of Cristiano and Rashford. Buffon has been doing wonders for sooo long and to me that’s enough to let him get that GK position. I love Neuer and I love how he revolutionized how the way goalkeepers play, or his amazing performance during the World Cup in my home country back in 2014, but Buffon has proved himself for many years. Massive respect to Buffon.

If you think about how Cruyff and Maradona played the midfield suits them the most especially if that team was to play in this era of football. Baresi was basicly the on field mentor of Maldini and people really forgot how good he was cause Maldini himself was on the same team but if you are gonna have one the other comes with them. Beckenbauer from what i know was so exceptional that he made his name despite being a defender in his era. Cafu could arguably be out of the team but he is the safest option. Ronaldo and Messi dont need any explaning and the same goes for Zidane . The point where i really want to argue is wether or not we put Pele or Romario at the front, for me thats the only position i can see the AI getting wrong. Pele had the magic but in that era no one was scoring goals like Romario. 2014 neuer is easily the greatest keeper of all time

Neuer over buffon all day. He completely changed the gk position, not only with the ball, but also 1v1 gk techniques and so on. Also i think ramos should be in for baresi even though i dont like him. Ronaldo also played as a mixture between striker and winger, in fifa the position would be LS in a 4321.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but considering how the goalkeeper as a position has changed I would take Neuer over Buffon, just because of the context of the modern game.

CR7 raised expectations for wingers at a ridiculous level. With pele as a 9 Ronaldo has to be a winger and same for messi.
