Today I’m going to be sharing with you how To Make The easiest and most delicious puffy taco stuffed with a delicious picadillo! ohh let me tell you its seriously the best!

Tip! Make sure your dough for the taco shell is not thin the thicker the fluffier your taco will remember this is a puffy taco!
I M P O R T A N T ⚠️
You can fry the bread first then shape it as a taco
Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 3/4- 2 cups hot water
2 tbsp shortening
4 tsp baking powder
Salt I used 1 1/2 tsp
Oil for frying
2 lbs ground beef (I'm using 96/3) season with garlic salt, black pepper, and salt
4 hatch or anaheim peppers you can also use 2 poblanos instead
chile serranos I'm using 3
1 small white onion; divided
4 roma tomatoes
2 garlic cloves
2 tsp chicken bouillon
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1 serving of love 💕

We used to call these Indian tacos 🌮. Can’t now. First Nations, FNX, indigenous. I lived next to the Rez. They called this gringo “Red Skin” because of my Sun Burn

Your puffy taco, is a Indian Frybread, I’m a Native American, my recipe for my dough is the same, we eat frybread with same fillings, stews, any kind of meat, or just sprinkle powder sugar and honey on it, it’s so good when it’s so fresh, what’s so cool, you used Blue Bird Flour, I like the way you fried into a taco shell shape. Now I want to try it out myself, yummy!

Here in Arizona the puff taco is known as fry bread, Navajo tacos or Indian tacos 💖 they come from the rations they would get from the government on the reservations. I love mine with beans and cheese and when i have a sweet tooth some honey and powder sugar is good 💖

A "Fry Breader" is Derogatory name for a over weight Indian women on the Menominee Indian Reservation north of Green Bay WI. it is the #1 Fighting Words in that area.

we Quinaults make ours with chili, cheese, onions, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream and we natives all have our own recipes and ways of making our bread!

Thank you for sharing your puffy taco with us. It was truly special and I will never forget it. I like them best when they are filled with beef and a little sour cream, but then again I like to keep good things simple. In fact I don't fully drain my meat because I preferred your puffy taco a little wet. Thanks again!

I made this last night. Very nice flavour profile. A lot lighter than many other taco recipes. I like the fact that I can make it from things in my cupboard and fridge that I have on hand. I would usually use beef bullion, but I followed your recipe and used chicken. I am glad I did. I made a huge batch so I could freeze some for later. What a hope. It is almost all gone. Believe it or not, I try all of your taco recipes. I enjoy the fact that they are all quite different. This recipe will be the one that I use during the summer. Thanks for this. Very well done!

That's how I make my Indian fry bread looks good
These are actually called Indian tacos. Fry bread with ground beef. Add a little sugar to the fry bread after you take it out the oil you'll love it trust me!

There are few things more delicious than a good frybread. I was blessed to grow up on a ranch adjacent to an Indian Reserve, so every community festival had the best frybread! And mixing them with Claudia's taco recipe... "Heaven...! I'm in... heaven!" 😉😋

Don’t gaslight the issue just because others are offended, acknowledge your followers without their support you wouldn’t be here still creating content. I am indigenous and I would never say American tacos are the bread and butter to a real taco foundation then pass recipes on so arrogantly, culture and food heavily go hand in hand kinna disrespectful to shrug it off with gaslighting when the reality is so many concepts of real tacos or “Mexican/Latino/a cuisine” is indigenous food based. You do realize that brown skin is no different over the boarder from indigenous nations before Spanish or British colonizers we were all the same nor did we speak these languages originally.
