2020 has been an interesting year hasn't it? Here in Middle Tennessee we are seeing the effect of the shut downs combined with the high demand for homes from people fleeing other areas of the country. People are moving to Tennessee from California, Illinois, New York, and all kinds of high tax areas looking for a better area to live in. Unfortunately the lumber spike has really driven up the building costs even further and will continue to do so until we have more production from the lumber industry to balance the market.
I believe in 2021 we will see a continued increase in home prices as a result of the higher lumber prices and due to all the people moving into Tennessee.
