The weight of a mechanical watch is part of its appeal; they feel substantial on one's wrist (up to a certain pleasant, practical point). The intention was to create a smartwatch for people who prefer watches that look and feel like mechanical watches. It definitely would not be for everyone but I am one of those who adore how it looks and feels on my wrist while still being able to help me keep track of the info that I need from a fitness tracker.

Weight is very subjective eg most people moving down market from a mechanical chrono would consider this relatively light weight but somebody upgrading from a budget plastic smartwatch would defo notice the heft..

I reckon about 80 grams is actually light for a watch, considering a mechanical movement watch will actually be a couple hundred grams in weight (without any tracking). I'd consider the extra weight is because of the more moving parts: Watch Movement, Sensors, Dial and Face, plus sensors onto the watch as opposed to just a small light screen. Different strokes for different folks though, appreciate you weighing in! 😎

Have you tried changing the stainless band to synthetic? Might be the answer for weight issue.

I had a Scan Watch and had to return it. The glass was too reflective and dial hard to read. The O2 sats were always very low compared to a dedicated oximeter and it was telling me I was in atrial fib when I was in normal sinus.

Apple watch needs recharging every day if you're really going to use it. Withings over the apple watch any day

Was doing a Shot on iPhone Test so was impossible to do. I don’t normally shoot with an iPhone.

If you want a real watch buy a garmin fenix 7 pro.

that was one of the options for me, too... but in the end chose the scanwatch as it, for me, looked more elegant and minimalist
