I went to the indiana school for them. They left us stranded right out the gate and literally told us to "walk" mind you it's midnight and we was in a ahady neighborhood in Gary Indiana. They stuck is in a run down roach motel with 3 raids and a hostage situation all within the 2 weeks I was there. They lied about paying during training. They left us stranded 3 times saying "it's not our job to transport" like yes tf it is. Yall wouldn't let us drive and you made us take the greyhound. Cr england is the dog shit of all trucking companies

I got my CDL through Schneider back in 2000. As a company they suck but their training process was fantastic, if you couldn't drive you were out of the program end of story. My trainer was a NYC guy with i beleive had 5 years experience and was super. He covered every base with me, pulled me from behind the wheel when he saw i was tired and just wanted me to be safe and learn how to handle the truck. Companies these days are pushing guys through that have no business being behind the wheel and like you said making guys trainers that are still inexperienced. Anyway i lasted 18 months with Schneider and they said i broke contract and had to pay them 5.000 dollars which i did because it was preventing me from buying a house after they put it in collections. That's my story i'm driving a local union daycab job 21 years later and i still use my trainers knowledge today.

I went to their salt lake terminal for training, a complete and total cluster beep. My first week was spent either in the classroom or riding in a truck, never got a chance to actually drive or sit in the driver seat until our first day of backing 30-40 students, one truck, one stressed out instructor. I ended up leaving and going to CRST. I ended up getting an unrestricted license. CR England was about rushing people through, CRST was about actually training and getting you ready for the road and being prepared for the job

Thank you for your information. I'm going to CR England because of the free training for CDL BUT I'll be going to Georgia, Premier Truck Driving School, which has contract with CR England. Hoping it's not as bad as Salt Lake City, UT!!! I'll let you know. 🌹

i'm looking at knight just for that reason, no teaming while in training, most companies team after 4 or 5 days, but now KLLM just increase there pay from 45 cpm to 60 cpm just 2 days ago, listed on fox business news website, so now looking at them, that's a big pay jump worth looking at big time

The trucking industry is ridiculous how they train people. I never been behind a 53 footer I went to Schneider after School they had me with a Mentor for 5 days then released me with my own truck doing western 11. Basically I tought myself how to drive a truck. 😂😂😂

Went to the Hammond Indiana school 20 years ago. Was the same then. Got my CDL with 15min of behind the wheel experience. Stuck it out 2 years of misery went on to a small company making the big bucks. England was like boot camp sucked at the time but now i look back and laugh.

C.R. England is really like a last resort company. If you have employments gaps or a felony that’s too fresh that other companies won’t take you THEY WILL. So I recommend you get your 6 months to a year experience then leave. Once you get that experience it’s easy to go to another company

  • @thisguy4209

Sounds like everything went well. You seem to have a problem with being a truck driver in general and with navigating new experiences. But I never heard you say anything that amounted to a "nightmare" brought about by C.R. England.

Should I go with them or flee while I still have the chance to do so? I hate my job I have now but I don't want to get stuck with a shit company either... What would you guys do?

@@Nomad_Brad I hear you. Some folks cant stay the full contract anyway though lol, I assume they just deal with it.. but garnished from what I hear folks are having the whole amount removed from their credit in a lot of cases and it not being even owed back! Depending on the credit repair group.. but more in the event of the guy who with 3 months can’t do their deal but. I’m basically ready to go for their cdl training here so shiii. 😬
