    I have a CDL B I know how much I make a week...bt the days you get over time either you have over 4 stops or the locations are over 2-3 hours away....so cdl b you have to unload on your own, either with electric pallet jack or hand cart...some days you can get a helper if you have several stops.....I wouldn't drive a tractor trailer because of clearance heights and also it's alot more to worry about with the trailer... Straight truck driving not to easy...

    Are you driving team, to get these kind of paychecks in your first year? (I noticed you said "we" a few times...but some people say that and still mean "I" by that). Of course team drivers will make significantly more, because the truck is in perpetual motion, and the freight is typically billed at a higher rate, due to being expedited by team delivery. Please let us know, because that's critically important info when presenting check amounts like what you are showing, for a first or second year driver.

    Steven, i don't drive for any class a co right now, but I suggest no-pay-may trucking for new cdl drivers their training program is short and comprehensive. I have a friend at prime. He works approx 6hr a day by choice and does 50cpm (aprox 28/hr) their training is also very good. Neither one will ask you to break laws and both will be fair with you when you screw up (and you will as a new driver).

  • @Dr3amTruckin

    @Dr3amTruckin

    2 жыл бұрын

    The main reason i got decent gross was because of the mileage. Every day we made sure we had a load and we would do 6 days to get the 1500-1800 gross. After our hometime we would run a Utah trip first and be back the next day in time to go straight to Arizona. Sometimes we would do something local but only when issues from other loads made us. Another cool thing was the $10 we got bonus for every store we would do because some days we got 3 stores others we got 5 and thats an extra $30-$50 a day just on stores alone. Not going to lie it was stressful in a way because there where some times you had to drive over night and not much of a gap to pull over and take a rest even though we got proper sleep before.

    Hi! Yes cr england does pay to get your CDL with them. The catch is the contract says you have to stay and work for them for 12 months. If you leave before they will send you a bill for the remainder of the school loan. If you last 12 months and quit after you don’t owe anything. But to be clear within those 12 months you will be paying a bit of the loan at like $35/week

    They good for getting your cdl a. After that everyone leaves. The pay won't be good. They have you out mostly all month. The only way to make good money is if your a mentor. Which mentors get around 1500, 2000 or 3000. Wen you doing phase one and u with a mentor he'll probably won't show you anything because he/she just wants to get out of there and not waste time. Most of the times you get a good route with 1500 miles yet half way they'll say they need to change trailers with another driver most of the times they do that wen that driver and load are going back home. Your sleep time will be all over the place and wen it's time to sleep and park all Loves and trucks stops are full. Deep down it's not the way to go. Otr is not the way if you have a family and want to see them every week or two weeks. Also the best way is dedicated route/ or local route just get your cdl a and leave and find a job in your city. Again not all drivers get paid the same.

Sounds like you are a regional driver in the southwest. Okay so you get paid but what are you paid for, specifically? If I were to come over there what exactly does it take to make over $1000 a week in weekly mileage detention layover breakdown?

    You’re right. I am a dedicated team driver. Daily loads are between team is anywhere from 700(Arizona)-1300 miles(Utah) of course we drive ALOT for .316cents. Each store we get an extra $10 usually do 2-4 stores daily and sometimes backhauls. Although I know the cents per mile isn’t the best even on our slow work week we make over $1k after taxes
