Retired 68 and just built my entire bag from second hand because of price. Just finished getting it together after being away from golf for 10 years due to injuries. Today will be the first round with the full bag. Callaway sub zero Rouge driver, Callaway epic flash 3/5 fairway, 4-GW Adams xtd tour a X100 shafts, Cleveland rtx wedges and a ping anser putter. I've been playing the irons for a few months and love them. Used to play Mizuno mp 62 but no chance I could play those now. £400. I'm just as excited now as trying out new clubs

Wilson hit a home run with those irons. Very nice. I have Apex Pro (5-9) Apex MB (PW, GW) irons. Had heavier weights put into the head since I do like a midsize grip and I wanted a heavier swing weight.

Had a few new clubs for this season (2nd hand, so new to me). The only thing I've kept are my es21 and t20 wedges. But I found a set of Bridgestone J36 blades which I adore and finally decided on a change at the top end of the bag. Swapped out a bit too spinny 0211 PXG driver for the original Sim Driver with an x-stiff shaft. Also this past week I said goodbye to my 25 year old Adams Tight Lies 2, 2 wood for an M5 2 wood (14 degree). Also had a recent round at Prestatyn in January and ended up buying a random Lynx Predator putter, as I wanted something with ultra forgiveness (putting being my weakness). Helped me immensely Changed to a Cavell X Golf ball from amazon, 4 piece urethane with unreal durability and performance for £23.99. Might be worth a review from you guys Chris

Best acquisition of the year would be an anorak 😂. Nice bag of clubs though.

Fitted by the brilliant company in Chesterfield (also Edinburgh & Amsterdam). SGGT. Fitted with Prov 1 or X, in a studio, out Ono a private range. Srixon ZX4 with KBS Graphite shafts. Expensive but they have nearly replaced the 20% loss in swing speed after serious illness and ops. Then fitted with Titleist TSr2 driver and 5 wood. Again expensive but I haven’t wasted money buying untried off the shelf or internet. There’s nothing worse than struggling with clubs which are unsuitable.

I just tested both of these drivers today. I came into it with a bias towards the Ping, but left haven fallen in love with the Qi10. I have such a hard time finding the center of the face with the G430 Max 10K. In my opinion, the Ping head is too light to the point that the shaft feels heavy which makes it hard to feel the club head. However, even when I found the center with the Ping, it was only carrying 260ish. With the Qi10, not only was I able to find the center better, but it was carrying significantly longer (270ish/290ish total) with miss hits ~260-270 total. (I tried a lot of different shafts in both (stiff/9 degree))

I’m the poster boy for not being able to buy a good golf game. I got the new Qi10 Max driver, I have a Ping G430 fairway wood and two hybrids, G430 irons, SM10s in 50, 54, and 58, and a Phantom X12 putter, and I suck lol. I’ve considered going into prettier irons, but my strike location is just not very consistent. I will say that the Qi10 Max has been a really straight driver for me. It’s definitely given me a lot more confidence when I have hazards on the right.

Fitted for PXG xcor2's, now in the bag, had a second iron fitting at PXG 2 days ago on gen 5/6. I have yet to pull the trigger on those. Plan is to take one set out to my brothers in Spain for when I visit as club hire is upto €75 in courses around where he lives. I did put a 5 iron and 4 driving iron into my current XCOR2'S while I decide. I had amazing results with the 4 driving iron, it's sure to become one of my must have clubs. I'm pretty wayward with the driver but was hitting that thing around 195-205 and then an extra 10-20 yards roll on. PXG 317 X. Best thing about it was straight, even off centre I was no more than 15 yards right or left which still means I'm hitting 90% of fairways, which was pretty much reversed for me with driver. Can't wait for it to arrive.

My new irons will be here Friday actually. Just did a complete new bag. Took over a decade hiatus, so my old clubs were from 2003. Anyway I got p790 5-pw, qi max driver, stealth 2 3 and 7 wood. Qi 5 wood, p-dhy 3iron, Scotty square back 2. Now I just need my gap, sand, lob wedges, which I’m going vokey. Oh and I have a burner mini. Obviously that’s like 16 clubs so the driver, mini driver, 3/5/7 wood and p-dhy will be in and out depending on the course. So a completely new bag built over the last 4 months…needless to say I’m excited and it’s been 21 years since I had all new clubs

I have an older set bought them three years ago off eBay practiced with them at the range but never took them out on a regular basis, just started playing them. The Ben Hogan Apex Edge irons, stiff, RH 2003. They were in excellent condition. Thanks

Odyssey #7 is a great putter. Love the weight and feel with the OG insert. Not a fan of jailbreak pattern though. Love the looks of the Wilson irons. I'm in the Mizuno Pro 223 irons this year bought second hand. Takomo 201 is my backup set I use to play around with different shafts from time to time. Sim 2 max driver and PXG woods stay in the bag. Experimenting with Edison wedges. I think those will replace the Skyforger sand wedge that I've worn quite a bit.

I just changed from Faldo era Mizuno Pro MS211 to Honma LB 280. I got them from Facebook market place. Hardly hit basically new 3i-SW for AUD100. Just as nice as my Mizuno's just fresher grooves.

For this year, takomo 101s. Sim2 driver and 3 wood. MG4 52 and 56

Going for lessons on the full swing. Chipping and putting on point.

My experience is that new sticks improve my game for about 3 months and then I regress to the mean. Kinda expensive to maintain.

Been playing AP2 712s with NSPRO 125 shafts for a few months and let’s just say I’m not shanking it anymore… so far. 🤣

I’m looking for something to fit between my driver and 7 wood. Still not sure what that club will be. Looking for something I can hit consistently off the tee & fairway. I’m not good enough with a 3 wood from the fairway. Maybe a 5 wood or maybe the Cleveland 3+ hy-wood. 🤷‍♂️

I found the Titleist 5 wood to be the easiest to hit off the deck or tee, ever for me.

$630.00 driver! Wow ... I'll be moving along now ... cheers.

I got a set of Mizuno 245s late last year, but then hit the Wilson staffs a week ago. The Wilsons are amazing. I couldn't hit a bad shot. Had to buy them. The ball flight is perfect. Even with stock shafts. Great choice

Hi Chris a bought IQ 10 max I'm missing it right it goes 200yards then fades away right how do you adjust this club if a put it 2upright will that stop this leak Ing right its killing me or should a go and get it dialled into me at the pro shop

I am wondering if a customized lab putter is going to be worth it. I currently use a scotty cameron kombi s My other clubs are M5 tour driver, stealth plus 3 wood,rad speed 5 wood,speedzone 7 wood, speedzone 9 wood P790 black irons 6-pw, titleist sm7 50,54,58 wedges, I don't see me replacing anything for years except maybe putter.

Hi, yes for me at least a customised LAB putter has been worth it. I now regularly have 29 putts per round and being more confident with the putter has taken the pressure off my short game. I would recommend going for a fitting. See their website for locations. They maybe expensive, but will be a better investment than a fancy new driver.

Did ypu do any homework concerning Whitby Golf Club with reference to the Head Greenkeeper ,he is Pete Fenton Who was the Brabazon English Champion You Could have got a great lnterview!!!

It will be awhile before I buy new clubs, used clubs at Roger Dunn or eBay.....
