The gear I use to make my content (although this is always changing!)
Sony A7iv + 20mm 1.8G - My main KZread camera for shooting out on location.
Canon EOS R8 + 16mm F2.8 + Zhuyin Crane M3 - I use this for a combination of stills and video B-roll
DJI Pocket 3 - Used for videos where I cover a lot of ground
Sony A7iii - this is my primary stills camera that works with native Sony lenses and all my Canon EF lenses on the Sigma MC-11 adaptor
Canon 5D3 - I use this camera when I use my EF glass and there is no benefit in adapting
DJI Mavic Pro 2 - My first drone, and I can’t see me replacing it. It’s amazing for both stills and video
Go Pro Hero 8 - for adverse weather conditions that my other cameras might not survive!
Insta360 - X3 & One inch edition - for 360 degree video and BTS content
Microphones - DJI Wireless Mic, Rode Wireless Go, Rode Lav Go, Rode Video Pro+, Rode Video Micro
Photo Tripods - Sirui ST-124 with Sirui ballhead, Peak Design travel tripod
Video Tripods - Benro + spikes, Switchpod, K&F travel tripod + Gorillapod
Monopod - Sirui P-325FL
Camera bags - Manfrotto, Lowepro, Peak Design, K&F and Crumpler
Photo Filters - Nisi V7 + Nisi filters, H&Y magnetic filter system
Video filters - Freewell magnetic NDs, H&Y Revoring, Hoya Variable ND
All of my cameras have Arca Swiss plates to connect with the Peak Design Capture Clip and compatible tripods.
Video editing software - Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro
Video editing on the iPad Pro - LumaFusion
Photo editing - Adobe Lightroom, photoshop, Artisan Pro X, Silver Efex, Color Efex

Ben you definitely have a lot to offer someone in terms of your photography and video knowledge along with the knowledge accumulated in building your channel. I wish you every success in the new venture

Thank you for the kind words Jim. It’s an exciting new chapter!
Congratulations on the 20k subs Ben, and also for offering 1-2-1 workshops. You're a great photographer and equally great company, so I'm sure you'll have some very happy clients! PS - nice video too, loved the compositions at the start in the dark...

Thanks Gordon, it seems like the logical next step, as we have such beautiful landscapes in the area. There is also a series of landscape photography books by Fotovue that cover various areas, Lake District, Dorset and Devon etc but they have yet to produce one for Sussex. I have heard that one is in the making but there seems to be a lack of photography tuition and workshops by local photographers in Sussex.
Congratulations on 20K! What adorable tiny horses! Who knew? Today I learned something! I normally think of much wider-open spaces like camels in the Australian outback and wild horses and donkeys in the U.S. southwest. Never heard of wild horses on your island. Nice images, and good luck!

Cheers Brian, its interesting how different cultures have different norms. When I have been travelling and seen wild dogs walking the street that seems odd, as they are such a part of the family here in the UK.
Ben, I love your work and love your message. Keep doing your videos for you first and those who love your message will keep listening. Congrats on the 20K+ and for keeping it real.

Cheers Paul, I don’t actually have much free time - but I will offer a handful of workshops planned in advance. I am looking forward to helping out some future clients.
Ben, I never knew there were wild horses in Sussex & the one at the end seemed rather anxious to sign up for a one-to-one wildlife course. Joking apart, good luck with the new venture & congrats on breaking through 20K subscribers.

Hi Chris, someone may own them, but they roam free at Cissbury Ring which is public spot with a great vantage point if you have never visited. It’s a bit of a steep climb though!
Good luck on your new venture, it's a great idea and contractions on 20k! And stunning photos :)

Thank you Kat, much appreciated :-)
Yeah I was gonna say congrats Ben on making 20k subs. Ka Pai (well done)! 🙂 I tend to like supporting smaller channels and enjoy watching them grow. When they tend to hit several hundred thousand views for each video I tend (rightly or wrongly) to tune out, as they get too commercial/click-batey/over-inflated egos haha. I'm sure you will keep it 'grounded' regardless mate. Keep up the good work and see you next month.

Looking forward to catching up Phil, and I will buy the coffee to prove how grounded I am (pun intended :-P ) Making videos and photography is my hobby, my escapism, and I have a full time job that I would never give up. It’ is difficult to beat designing a building and standing in your own creation!
