Nice bike 😊 👍👍 I don't watch Manga, but Ben read the Manwha "Windbreaker" a while ago, wich is about fixed gear riders in Korea. It became famous for the sense of style and fashion the author gave the characters.

When I got my, "Flame Painted" 2019 SuperlightM6LXBrompton I honestly didn't know for what use I had the low gears, till I met an absurd serpentine hill on a Danish Island and had to walk on top! So I would never put a smaller chain ring on mine in front! Being able to walk faster than riding a bike is also a little "funny"! I have seen an oval ring which I would like to try though, but I hardly think it will function, as it is an old idea which never really found a use. Finn. Denmark

Do you find with a smaller chainring that your speed is slower than with the bigger one? Or, in your opinion, it’s a non factor?

Swapping out to a small chain ring could potentially reduce your max speed downhills (the maximum gear inches) but really for Bromptons it's a non factor. So it was a good move for me but you can look at the specifics and see if it makes sense for you! I think 50T is probably too big for most applications

@@BestSideCycling Ok. Thanks! Just curious. I have a 50T on my C line but I’m discovering that lots of people drop down to 44t (or 39t). I purchased a 44t but just concerned about spinning out or ghost pedaling in the highest gear. Thoughts? Your experience?
