I decided it was time to order a high-end everyday carry Bible. In this quick video, I explain why I have been without one for 2 years and the choice I finally decided on.

Congrats,Patrick! I felt that. Waiting on two Bibles that I ordered to be delivered. Been reading almost exclusively online,so it'll be a real pleasure to have the Word in my hands. Blessings for you and yours.🌹⭐🌹⭐🌹⭐
Can’t go wrong with this one brother! Thomas Nelson has stepped their game up and producing great bibles! The comfort print is awesome. Of course NKJV is the best in my opinion. Translated from the textus receptus just like the KJV but more accurate for our language now. Plus word for word translation style. I pastor and preach from the nkjv preaching Bible in calfskin. Been loving it
Wow! This is an amazing Bible. I read other translations also and I find myself going back to my NKJV New Spirit Filled Life Bible which I got on the 05th July 2010! God bless you!
Excellent presentation, thank you for sharing!
Hi! I'm very touched by the kindness you showed to your friend (who I hope is doing much better). If you're interested, I'd love to get you a nice Bible case to give your Bible added protection when you carry it around. No charge to you. God bless!
Solid purchase. They are very readable and the blue they use pops.
I always thought the overlays were just a preference thing. DIdn't know there was an actual function for them! Thanks for sharing and congrats on the new Bible!
Im a NKJV fan. I also use a NIRV. To break down hard passages or a strong's concordance with KJV. 😊
My every day reader is a Cambridge Cameo. I’m currently in seminary and when I start preaching I plan to use my Thomas Nelson reference Bible to share the word from.
My Everyday Use Bible is the Cambridge Turquoise in Calfsplit. I'm a preacher and it's perfect for preaching.
Very nice! If I want to get an NKJV again, this Mclaren will be the first I look for, even in Leathersoft. Its one of the very nicest typesettings. I received my NASB 2020 Wide Margin Reference genuine leather recently. I decided on that after I considered translation, build and price. I watched a few review video reviews, to get a good idea of both the cover and the typesetting. Its a thicker Bible, probably heavier than most would like, but I really wanted it after considering all the factors. It has a nice, proper cowhide leather cover (not pigskin, I mean wut?!) It has 32gsm paper (Lockman moved production of the NASB 2020 to South Korea, probably because 316 Publishing prints the LSB there 🤷♂) And the typesetting is a 10pt size single column, verse-by-verse, beautifully designed with 2K/Denmark. It has a nice set of features besides the great Scripture text too. Great value for the price.
I use the Life Application large print Bible and the Henry Morris study Bible
Very nice! My baptism gift Bible was a NKJV. That was my everyday Bible from 16-25 until it fell apart. It took me a couple years to replace it as well. When I finally made my choice I switched my everyday Bible to the Schuyler Thinline Quentel in the NAS95. That has been my EDC Bible ever since.
I use the ESV giant print. I am 74 and need extra large print to read.

I have started to use the ESV more on the show, picked up a goatskin single column verse by verse preachers Bible that has really become the main one I use on the show now
Congratulations on your new Bible. It is gorgeous! I'm deciding between the NKJV and the CSB for my everyday Bible.

I used the CSB for about a year for my everyday carry and still use one on my desk as a secondary translation for the show; it is an excellent, accurate, readable translation, and one of the good things about it is that since it is from Lifeway, you have a tremendous amount of options in purchasing one.
Congrats on having a new Bible! I usually use a Bible app when I'm outside and a small one at home. The binder of the second one I own is already torn haha, but I still love it, I couldn't let it go 😅

I love my Olive Tree bible app and I have spent way too much money in the store on it lol... but for me personally, a Bible and leather journal open on the table with nothing else is so nice to be able to block out distractions
I enjoy the NASB and the Strongest concordance. oh yeah i have to check out my bible with my new trifocals
I miss mine. Love the blue accents.
Great Bible selection, I've never seen one with the words of Christ in blue. I have several Bibles and NKJV seems to be one of my favorites.

Humble Lamb publishers also do the Words of Christ in blue. At present, they are publishing KJV, NKJV, and NASB2020 versions. They plan to release two new versions this year, but they're not revealing which ones just yet! Their Bibles are truly beautiful and I'm hoping for an NLT.
I’m not a KJV only although that’s my favorite. Also like the original American Standard because it has Gods name throughout the old testament. Peace

I always say the same thing to anybody. The best translation for you is the one that you're actually read. If King James is what gets you through God's word and helps you draw close to Him, that is great. But I know for me personally it is a struggle to read. I much prefer the new King James and actually have just recently started using ESV as well
It is called yap
I use the Newberry Interleaved Reference Bible daily

You have link to that would love to check it out
very nice bible. but it is not verse by verse format so I pass unfortunately.
What did you mean when you said 'it won't bleed through?" Does that mean you can make notes and it won't bleed thru to the opposite side? If so.. what kinds of ink are suitable? At one time. .in the 60's I had a Bible that took india ink from a pen that didn't bleed through... but non today that I have

I use Sharpie thin point markers, the pages in this Bible do not show the marking from the previous page when opened and laying flat, which is a big thing for me
so is the way that leads to life narrow, or is it difficult?
Mine is my NIV
Patrick, there is something wrong with other translations of the Bible, because modern translations come from the erroneous Alexandrian, critical texts. Whereas the NKJ. NKJV and MEV come from the correct Greek texts. PS, I've got that NKJV McLaren series Bible along with other NKJV Bible's from Thomas Nelson, schuyler and camebridge. The NKJV is the most accurate translation of the Bible.
Esv study bible is my preferred bible, i have kjv, nkjv, Niv although the niv today is different from orginal.

I have the ESV study on my desk and it is my main study bible, but it is just way too big to carry around as an everyday carry
NKJV is awesome!
In fact, there is a lot wrong with several of the new translations.

We all know Paul preached from a KJV 1611. And it’s wrong to translate the Bible into any other language. If someone doesn’t speak English then they better learn old English or they are going to hell! People are dying and going to hell yet there’s people more worried about king James. Let’s focus more on King Jesus

@@chris2fur401but it would be awkward to read as we don't have the same speech anymore like then, this is from Matthew 1.... 1Now when Iesus was borne in Bethlehem of Iudea, in the dayes of Herod the king, behold, there came Wise men from the East to Hierusalem, 2Saying, Where is he that is borne King of the Iewes? for we haue seene his Starre in the East, and are come to worship him.
I prefer Christ's words in red since the reason for it is to represent His blood shed for us.

@@chris2fur401 Do you have deuteranomaly or protoanomaly? I'm curious as to what you see when reading the red print. I imagine it is still distinguishable from the black print. And what about people with tritanomaly? Wouldn't the blue print cause problems for them? By the way, I have an old "Rainbow Study Bible" that has all the verses color-coded. Consequently it has the words of God the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit in bold. There is a Bible called the "BRG Bible" that has The Father's words in blue, Christ's in red and the Holy Spirit's in gold.
I was hoping it wasn’t made in China…. Sweatshop bible kind of kills my reading vibe. Cool Bible tho

Bible publishers in China are NOT sweatshops. The employees are wonderful hardworking men and women producing beautiful high quality Bibles. Are these folks to be denied a decent living because you have preconceived notions of what working conditions are like in China?

@@guymontag349 there is a reason that many folks across the world lost their jobs to China, MONEY… every dollar we spend in China gives money to the Chinese government to continue to persecute Christians. There are many Pastors, preachers and house church members that are currently in Prison for their Christian beliefs. And if the Govt clamps down on Bible production or halts production, the Bible supply chain will be disrupted. More options = More Better, instead they have a monopoly… also what do we do with the CCP rewriting portions of the Bible to increase control (their version changes the woman caught in adultery, to Jesus stoning her to death)

@@guymontag349 - labor rights are nonexistent in China. The people there don't make a "decent living." There's a reason most of our consumer goods are made there: Companies would rather pay pennies an hour to workers who can't ask for anything better than to offer a living wage to an American worker. The entire process is exploitative and geared toward maximization of profit above all other considerations. That's why it's incumbent on ethical consumers to avoid products made in China.
