I'm getting baptized tommorrow- mothers day- and I'm so ready!

I'm being baptized tomorrow. With quite a few others. In a cold river. It'll be glorious. we all prepared for weeks for this. We spent all day today cooking to cater for all the baptism recipients, guests and missionaries who are coming from the other side of the country just for this baptism, and hoping to add to our home church's baptism list by soul winning in our town. It's all very exciting!

I am a Christian and when I went to the Adventist church I witness someone getting baptized and it came to my mind that I want to get baptized as well just as how Jesus did. I made my decision to get baptized in the church around people and in the water. I just cant wait till that day comes.

This was beautifully said 😇 Im 35. Ive been a believer my entire life, was raised in church, my mom even being a pastor. I was baptized around 8 or 9 years and i understood (i think) but i didnt KNOW God.. And i barely remember it. But i strayed away for many years. The past 3 years ive been really seeking God and have drawn closer to Him. I am going this coming Sunday, in 3 days to be baptized (again) now that i truly know what it means and TRULY WANT THIS. am SO EXCITED i can't wait!! 😍🙌 Im watching videos bc im so stinkin excited lol. I got baptized in Jesus name in cold water in South Korea many quote matthew 28 19 this is a command not a formula this is valid when the disciple who baptized you saying I baptized you in the name of jesus christ this is the correct formula you died to sin buried to his death then once.yiu receive the holy ghost you rise in resurrection l8fe

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change. Not the putting away the filth of flush but the answer of a clear conscience towards God. 1Peter 3:21. I heard nothing about the Blood of Jesus cleansing us from sin in this message. Baptism can never replace the blood of Jesus for the forgiveness of our sins.

Amen!!! Short and true. The best I have heard so far. I was 43 something when I decided I want to be babtised. I had to wait 2 weeks for the event and during that 14 days Satan tormented me with dreams to try and scare me off. I persisted and never looked back. Bless you pastor for speaking this importend truth. Only 2 essential "isms" in the Bible, Evangilism & Babtism.

I took a Oneness Pentecostal out to preach the gospel to a Chinese masseuse that I knew could speak only a few words of English. Needless to say, he failed miserably - and he spoke to two of them. Peter did it. He couldn't.

The apostles did not practice speaking gibberish as do the oneness apostolics hoping they can convince their church members they have the HS. It infuriates them knowing, we know, they can not speak in tongues (1Cor.13:8-10).

What would you say to me in this scenario. I want to be baptized and I think my Dad does as well. But, it seems he believes there is not enough time to get baptized.

I’ve been struggling to stop smoking, so I can be baptized.

The name of..... What is the name they used in Acts? Matthew is titles; there is no name in that statement. Acts 2:38 keeps it real simple. And it's a response to Acts 2:37 when they asked WHAT MUST WE DO?

Water baptism is not the way you come to be in Christ. It is by faith in Christ that you are saved, and by faith that you are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13 Water baptism was required by John the Baptist, only for the Jews who were waiting for their Messiah, by confessing their sins publicly and being baptized in the Jordan river. This was never for the church age. This was for Jews only, under the Old Testament and the Law of Moses.

Thankfully, the scripture tells us when this happened. Here it is, read carefully please. 12 “A certain Ananias, a man who was devout by the standard of the Law, and well spoken of by all the Jews who lived there, 13 came to me, and standing near said to me, ‘Brother Saul, receive your sight!’ And [h]at that very time I looked up at him. 14 And he said, ‘The God of our fathers has appointed you to know His will and to see the Righteous One and to hear an [i]utterance from His mouth. 15 For you will be a witness for Him to all men of what you have seen and heard. 16 Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.’ (Acts 22:12-16.) Question: Were Paul's sins washed away on the Damascus road or when he was baptized? Is this before or after the New Covenant took effect? For more context you can read about the first telling of this story in Acts 9. Keep reading the Bible! It defines its own definitions.

@@tanyabrown791 Apostle Paul is the apostle chosen by Christ, and revealed by Christ, the gospel by which we are saved in the church. We are not Jews saved by repentance and water baptism. And apostle Peter is not our apostle, by the way. Apostle Paul is. We are gentile believers, in the church of Christ, saved by grace through faith alone. Read Ephesians 2:8,9 and see by yourself what is written about salvation. Also, read the gospel by which we are saved, written in 1 Corinthians 15, verses 1-4. There is no mention of repentance or water baptism. We are saved by faith alone. Study your bible, and learn to rightly divide the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:15 Believe the truth and be saved.

If you read scripture literally, baptism doesn't "represent" or "symbolize" anything but it DOES things according to Rom 6 and Col 2:11,12 and other verses. The New Testament never says or implies baptism is a symbol, representation, identification, testimony, or the like but that it actually DOES something just like Naaman was cleansed from his leprosy in water.

Just want to correct you on your statement of nobody in the new testament accepted Christ without being baptized. The 1 thief on the cross next to Jesus recieved Christ and was never baptized. Great video!

The book of Acts shows proper baptismal methodology. The epistles elaborate further.

The reason for being baptized let it soak in your heart and spirit. Now the baby that's baptized is it a wrong thing to do to come back and be baptized again when being the prodical son

Do you be baptized by someone who already was? John the Baptist was baptized after he baptized Jesus. I heard something of for that to happen John was on this earth before Jesus time and was baptized then.

Yes he was, but not by water.....Matthew 3:11 and Matthew 9:6. A purpose of baptism is for forgiveness of sins, Acts 2:38, which is what Christ did on the cross for the thief, as he had the authority to do so. When Christ told the thief he would be in paradise with him, the thief was forgiven of his sins.....in other words, Baptized.

Mention there are no sixth things anybody needs to know before you get baptized. Okay, Baptism and coming to God And Christ is free, and it's given freely on to God and Christ. God, except us all with no conditions.
