Daniel if you’re looking for new content, my suggestion would be redemptions, especially with air travel. I’ve seen some coverage of it, a few examples that kind of glossed over how it was done, and it’s still a mystery to me.

The chase travel credit has to be the most straightforward and easiest credit to use! You simply purchase anything involving travel. And they will automatically give you a statement credit. Boom it’s done. It’s effortless.

Great strategy Daniel! I love how you're using UR+Bilt for hotel and C1+MR for flights - very organized! The one thing I want to point out is that if you intend to PC from the Bus Gold to the Bus Plat, make sure you've applied for the Bus Plat first since you don't want to lose out on that welcome offer! Pretty sure you know this, but I can't remember if you had a Bus Plat in the past. Happy new year bro!!

Stan, thank you so much for the support with the Super Thanks!! Yeah that’s one factor that I’ve been considering whether I want to apply for the business Platinum separately for just product change. The $15,000 in minimum spend is definitely a lot so I would have to plan around that and that’s my biggest concern. Happy New Year to you as well man! Looking forward to seeing where your channel goes in 2024!

Hey Daniel, since watching your channel a year ago, I have not paid cash for a flight so thank you for everything. Your content is straight to the point and informative with the appreciated transparency. I have a bunch of Chase cards and when attempting to add another to cover a category of spending, was denied. The card I received previously received a really high limit and Chase was trying to get me to slow down lol. However, I called and explained my strategy to tri fecta and such to get as many points as possible. They graciously balanced out my credit limits the way I wanted and gave me the new card. Just reiterating to others not to take a deny personal (as you did), trust your goal is responsible and well thought out. Often the customer service reps are happy to help you achieve it too. Love the content…you could do a series where you receive situations and goals your audience has and provide advice on ways you would go about it. But I know nothing about KZread content creation so keep doing what your doing and lets earn these points.

Fingers crossed that Chase shakes up their sign up bonus incentives! I'll definitely consider jumping back into the Chase point pool. I downgraded my CSR to a CSP and compliment it with a Freedom Unlimited, but 90% of my spending goes on the Venture X. My hats off to you for rocking the Freedom Flex. Keeping up with those quarterly bonuses becomes a bit of a drag, but certainly worth the 5% if you can keep pace!

Awesome plan and some amazing trips using all those points! Really cool to see other creators use their points in various different ways, much different than mine! Also, that's the exact process I did product changing my CSP, but instead chose the regular Chase Freedom instead. That way if I ever cancel my current Freedom Flex after the 24 month mark, I would technically be eligible for getting the bonus again given I wouldn't have another Flex! Maybe something to consider!

I would love content around how to manage these cards once you get a few of these. For example, after you apply for the card and get the signup bonus, what is the strategy for reducing the card fee as you move on to harvesting sign up points on a different card? Do you ever close cards? Just downgrade them to a free version? At some point it seems you would want to eliminate the cards to avoid hitting the revolving credit limit.

An idea that would be super helpful for one of your videos is to cover merchant codes connected to credit card offers. This is really unclear in some of cc company offers. For example- one credit card offers 5% cash back on office supplies but doesn't specify the stores that are included as a office supply merchant. Does ikea organizers, desk and chair fall under this merchant code or does they have to come from Office Depot or some other store like that.

Nice video! I thing to note is that you cannot downgrade the CSR to the Freedom Flex (or vice versa) due to the CSR being a Visa network, and the Freedom Flex a Mastercard network. (I tried to upgrade my Freedom Flex card and was denied because of this)

Question for you. I’ve got a sapphire preferred card and outside of sign on bonuses, I find that I don’t spend enough to exceed the 10% bonus they give annually, so it seems to me other cards even giving 5% in high spend categories aren’t worth it. How much do you end up spending on your cards annually to get enough value from all of them, and how much of the points you’ve accumulated come from your affiliate referrals instead? Maybe I’ve missed you going over that in a video but I think an annual points earning breakdown might be insightful. Like I said I think I’m getting near max value out of my setup but thinking I should stop using the other parts of it as I don’t think I’m spending enough to really maximize all my benefit across multiple cards

if i get freedom flex and get the bonus I have to wait 48 months to get the bonus for the unlimited card?

I got denied for the venture x for the same reason but I did get offered to upgrade my quicksilver, which I never use, but I wouldn’t get the sign up bonus. I’m not sure if I should take the upgrade, since I really want that card, or wait and see if I ever get approved.

I'm new to all of this in the last year. If my wife is an authorized user on some of mine like AmEx Platinum and Southwest Rapid Rewards, can she still apply for her own and get the welcome bonus?

I have a question about the 48 months to get the sapphire bonus again. If you had the CSR before but downgraded, do you have to wait 48 months from your down grade date or from the date/month you received the sign up bonus?

If I applied for the CSP and want to product change to the CSR, would my 48 months be reset if I was approved or would my 48 months stay the same from when I originally applied for the CSP?

  • @Daniel_Braun

It would stay the same - the 48 month clock starts as soon as you receive your sign up bonus on any Sapphire card, and product changing doesn’t affect that

How much are you paying in annual fees for all your cards? What is a good temp card for unlimited access to priority pass airport lounge access for myself and unlimited access to lounges for unlimited guests I want to be able to hop from lounge to lounge as they all seem to have a 3 hour limit at each lounge and finally I need to be able to add a family member to my account so she can get the card and these benefits with no fees

Is The Bilt worth if you don't pay any rents. I get most of the Bilt's multiplier through CSR, Amex Gold & Platinum. May be it might be good if you don't want pay any annual fee.
